The only trip I can find any report of Dwight Deal was at Piñon Cave
happened in 1965. Cavers on the trip were Dwight, Sandy Renstrom, Bob
Ayre, Rich Holtkamp. NO other information available.

My guess is that you should be able to find a trip report in the 1965 (or 66) issues of the SW Cavers. I seem to vaguely remember the trip was spearheaded by the El Paso group. Others on it possibly included Rich Loose. Perhaps Dave Buge, although I think he may have left Albuquerque by then. I am thinking it was in the spring or early summer, but I’m not sure about that. Let me know if you find a report.
