Pinon Cave I think is both a a hibernation location and a nursery. I
know for sure it is a hibernation location. This winter I lead a group
to find out if it was being used in the winter. Most of the bats were
in the dome above the first drop. We found a total of 17 Townsend's Big
Eared bats hibernating.
