Kong Climb! Can You Climb 1,000 Vertical Feet of Rope?
Complete 1,000 vertical feet of rope in 30 minutes* -- claim a Kong Climb limited edition T-shirt. Climb the fastest 1,000 ft of the event -- claim a King Kong T-shirt and Bragging Rights. $12 entry fee. Climb times scheduled every 45 minutes on Friday and Saturday of the TAG Fall Cave-In, October 9 & 10. Sign up in advance to make sure you get a shot at the King Kong prize. Pay your fee on-site. You may sign up to climb on-site provided vacant slots are available -- or -- in case of climber no show, step up and climb. (See below.) You must be checked in and ready to climb 15 minutes before your scheduled time or your slot will be given to someone else. You may bring your own belayer or use ours (belaying rack provided). Any climbing system may compete. Will climb rain or shine – but not thunder or lightening (will reschedule climbs if able). In that spirit, the organizers may allow some climbers to continue past the 30 minute mark if it appears that they will complete the 1,000 feet (with consideration of time needed to reset so that the next climber is not delayed in starting).
