Hi all!
John Lyles e-mailed me after he noticed a significant mistake in the
map that I prepared for the regional at Big Manhole Cave. (I hope
you've all received that notice.) On the map, you'll note that there
is a comment about "Distinct right turns at these junctions!"
Unfortunately, they are LEFT turns, not right turns. You might want
to pencil in the correction on your map right now so you won't forget
about it later. Many thanks to John for noticing that error.
Another comment: Many people coming from the north drive in from
Highway 137 (the road to the Guads), then turn left onto the Dark
Canyon road and come in from the left side of the map.
Unfortunately, I do not know what the mileage is from the junction of
Hwy 137 and the turn off on the dirt road. Maybe someone will
enlighten us on that.
Please let anyone who's coming to the regional and is not on this
list about the error. I apologize for the mistake - it is mine. I
hope to see everyone there!
