All.

there has been some confusion as to whether joining the TSA Members Area will
automatically cause you to cease receiving The TEXAS CAVER in hard copy fashion
and force you to have to access it in the future in electronic versions only.

I have to admit that my original announcement may have come across that way and
I apologize for the confusion.

While we still strongly encourage any and all members to go electronic, our
webmaster guru, Butch Fralia, has added an option where current and future
online TSA Member Area registrants can select whether they would like their
future newsletters to continue to be mailed or opt for electronic access only.

This option will allow you to view the current and back issues online and still
receive it by mail.

So, become an online member today and/or update your profile, but, please,
consider going all electronic.

It will help the TSA, help delay a raise in dues, save a tree, give you a full
COLOR newsletter, free up funds for caving activities, help reduce clutter at
your house, and just generally make you feel good about yourself.

We will revisit the cost effectiveness of this effort and decision in April at
the Convention. You are coming, aren't you?!

So, go ahead and join the online TSA Community and let us know what you think.

Rest assured that you will still receive your CAVER, in whatever flavor your
prefer, later on this month.

Thanks for your patience, support, and feedback (positive and negative)!

Later,

Mark Alman

Subject: [Texascavers] Reminder: TSA Members Area Update and Longhorn Caverns
State Park Dig, Saturday, February 7th

Good morning, y'all!

I just wanted to give an update on the status of the new Members Area on the
TSA website.

So far, we now have had 32 members join the Members area. Not a bad start, but
we're looking for more.

Given the fact that dues, currently being $20, and assuming that most there,
hopefully, will be accessing The TEXAS CAVER online, that is a lot of dinero
that has been freed up and that can be plowed into CAVING activities and
projects in the state.

Go ahead and sign up at http://www.cavetexas.org/members/
<http://www.cavetexas.org> .
