Sure is quiet out there on the political front. Am I the only person that thinks we are stuck with the decision of choosing between the lesser of 2 evils?
I often hear people say that your right to vote is so important. I would like to stir up that concept a little. Mankind has been walking the earth perfectly fine for about 100,000 years, and suddenly in the last 100 years or so, a small group of humans called Americans are staunchly set on defending their right to choose between an inexperienced Democratic candidate or an experienced but proven stubborn Republican candidate. Why not have a system that is better? For example, if 10 percent of the people vote Liberterian than Senator Obama loses just like Al Gore did. Probably not going to happen, but why do we even risk having such as bizarre system. Why not have a system in place that creates money instead of throwing money down the toilet on spin-type advertising? Why not let American Idol select the president, and let huge corporate advertisers pay for the election cost? Or why not have a "Price is Right" type spinning wheel and spin the wheel to choose the candidate? Or why not let the internet randomly select a citizen to be president? Or sell lottery tickets to become president? No matter what system we use, we are going to get a bum. Let me be clear. I am all in favor of chunking the American Constitution and starting over from scratch based on what we have learned over the last 232 years. We need to run America like a profitable business and get rid of the dead wood. Lets sell Louisiana back to France. Lets' sell the Rio Grande Valley back to Mexico. Why not trade British Columbia for North Dakota to the Canucks? Let's find a way to make a profit from death row. It should not cost the taxpayers a penny to put an inmate to death. Taxpayers should not have to pay for running the government. It should run itself automatically. It shouldn't require such an effort for it to operate. It won't be long till your hard earned tax dollars will be spent on the salary for someone who spies on you. I am certain that our Founding Fathers would be ashamed of what America has become. We have become stagnated by tradition. Tradition is evil and will be a factor in the collapse of the union as we know it.
