The general audience of this site
will be mostly teenagers and
young college students. It will have an
international audience. So the scope
of the questions and answers will need to
keep that in mind. Entry level cave science will
be the initial focus of this effort.
I am the 1st category moderator of this
site.
My goal for the next few months is to get some
good questions and answers on the site.
This site is not a glossary or dictionary. It is a place
for curious people to ask questions and get answers
from people about subjects related to speleology.
Currently I have posted 3 questions.
Expected topics are:
Speleo-archealogy
Speleo-geology
Speleo-paleantology
Speleo-chemistry
Speleo-biology
Computer topics for cave science
Mineralology in caves
Cave mapping related to science
Mammalogy related to caves
Ichthology related to caves
Vulcanology related to caves
Expedition caving topics
etc.
This is all tentative, as nothing has been done yet, but there should be
potential here for some interesting information.
I look forward to hearing about ideas from cavers about this
web-page.
