Dave,

Be sure to go to Mammoth Cave and take the Violet River Lantern Tour.  It's 
great.  You should go online way before arriving and make reservations. The 
tour is three hours long and you cover about three miles of the world's longest 
cave, an entrance to entrance trip.  Every fourth person gets a kerosene 
lantern.  It's fun to not have a lantern and sort of lurk in the shadows.
