All,
off and on during the last couple of months, I've been pinging y'all about
the attraction, places to stay, and other helpful info regarding visiting
Grutas de Palmito in Bustamante over the Christmas Holidays.
I appreciate everyone's helpful and enthusiastic responses, especially Mr.
Kunath's exceptional chapter from his upcoming book regarding caves in the
Nuevo Leon region and the Bustamante area, in particular.
I have one more question for y'all, and this one is of a more serious nature:
With all of the drug related violence along the border and in Laredo, in
particular, and some of it directed at Americans, would you as a first time
visitor and knowing no Spanish, feel safe going there at this time?
I'm leaning towards not going and wonder if this is overreaction on my part
or if y'all feel the same.
Plus, will there be a Presidents' Day Project there in '06?
