There is a pretty good chance that I am spending New Year's Eve in the Sierra Madres.
I hope to leave Houston around Dec. 27 or 28, and drive my truck down there. Tamasopo is a possible destination along with an afternoon of swimming at Puente de Dios. I don't know if my cell phone will work down there but, I can be reached at 713-851-1283 or possibly 713-702-6441. Has anybody been to the cave at Nacimiento del Rio Frio recently? If so, can you e-mail me hiking directions from the dam which is upstream from the picnic ground. I have looked for the cave entrance several times without success. I am willing to meet others at Hotel Tanninul or Real de Catorce, etc. I don't think I will have time to travel any further south than that. David Locklear caver in Houston
