Excellent, excellent article, Carl!! Well researched, captivating to read, and extremely impressive photos and maps. I was wondering how this cave compared with Kickapoo, as it is the largest and most impressive cave we've seen in Texas, and as Gill states in your article, "Palmito is a mind altering experience!" Now you've made me REALLY want to venture south! Thanks ever so much for posting this. We all do appreciate it and looking forward to your book! Sincerely, (An excited and anxious) Mark Alman

The manuscript has been completed and it was hoped that the book would be available at this year's TCR but unanticipated problems with achieving the final layout prior to actually printing have delayed publication once again. We are now seeking alternatives to the original plan and hope that we will not be forced to rename the book to 55 Years Of Texas Caving before it finally reaches you. <smile> ===Carl Kunath --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
