Thank you, Bill, for your kind words. It was good to get to see you at the convention. We're not as young as you may think and all that caving really took a toll on our late 40's bodies. Yet still, we had a blast! I'm very disappointed that we didn't choose to spend more time at the high school in rooms like your AMCS. I really applaud the work you are doing in and for Mexico and for the caving community as a whole. Congratulations on your sales! I certainly look forward to getting down to MX and doing some work with and for you!
Dennis P.S. I am so happy for you that you have a big, patient bladder! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Bill Mixon Sent: Sunday, July 17, 2005 11:57 AM To: CaveTex Subject: CaveTex: convention trip report Many thanks to Dennis Welch for his report on the NSS Convention. Shows what young and eager cavers can do when there's a convention in a good caving area. It's been years since I've even taken caving gear to a convention (been there, done that). Of course, there's plenty for us old farts to do, too, especially someone who knows so many people from previous conventions that it takes an hour to get across the campground to the john, for all the visiting. I spent a lot of time selling AMCS publications. The AMCS sold thousands $$$ worth of books on Mexican caving. Thanks to Rune Burnett and Susan Souby for helping me unload and set up, Jerry Fant for minding the store off and on, and Ernie Garza for helping pack up. -- Bill Mixon To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to mailto:[email protected] with the following message--unsubscribe cavetex.
