I just had my first Craiglist ride offer. I had to turn it down. It was a
cheap ride to Little Rock. I hope I do not regret that.

For me, the NSS Convention is a unique event. In the real world, I never
call encounter people like me. But here, there are lots of people far
crazier than me. There is one guy obssesed with gating every cave he
finds. Another who sculpts amazing tiny diaoramas. Just getting a selfie
with Ernst Kastning or Mark Minton is worth the trip. And The Howdy Party
is the second best party on Earth. And the best party one can do on a 3
day weekend.

As for me and Mallory's intimate questions. Many of my friends are here
and some of my unknown future potential friends are here.
I hope or desire to be active in the NSS someday, so it seems imperative to
be here.

My elderly Aunt lives in Hot Springs and she is going into a nursing home
soon.

My estranged-biological father and half-sister live near Mansfield. I go
there for a one hour visit, every other year, when I have no other option
except to jump off a bridge. They despise anything related to caves and
non-fundamentalist way of thinking. Meaning for them, they adamently
firmly are convinced that the Devil used his divine powers eight-thousand
years ago to create caves and eventually cavers.
