Just to clarify - my questions were not intended to poke fun at David. I'm
genuinely curious! I must admit, I have a touch of respect for his way of
doing things, despite my better judgment...

Yesterday I received 2 emails in my inbox almost simultaneously - this one
from David and one from my tax guy. (Due to the date of my
wedding/honeymoon, I filed for a tax extension this year and have really
procrastinated...I hate gathering paperwork, but I finally got myself
together.) Tax man says, "You owe a bit" and I'm so annoyed because I was
THISCLOSE to vanquishing that balance on my credit card, but that'll have
to wait another pay period, because Uncle Sam get his money first.

So there I was, pouting about finances, trying to remember if I had any
expensive obligations this summer, and then I read David's email. He really
does do a lot with a little! So even though we are very different people
and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing some of the things he does (like
showering in a Craigslist guy's hotel room - thanks Brian for that
question, I'm adding it to my list) I'm wondering if I could learn a couple
of tricks from him. I mean, he's at convention and I'm not...and that seems
to be a pattern.

On the other hand, I doubt I'll learn much because David has a way of
artfully dodging certain questions. He did begin, "to answer Mallory's
intimate questions" yesterday, but only answered the one about riding to
Hot Springs to see his aunt.

David, stop holding out on us! I need to know about this apartment.
Inquiring minds... :)
