It's hard to imagine that anyone who has used a DistoX for surveying
would ever want to go back to using a Brunton. I've used both, and would
never for a minute go back. For those who haven't seen it, there is a
great spoof video about surveying by Derek Bristol at
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iph3CnTXcqM>. See the reaction to using
a Brunton beginning at 2:54.
Jim made his comment in response to Charlie Loving saying, "Tape and
Brunton survey by...... I recall those in early days before Bockbeer and
his telenovela." I didn't respond at the time because I thought maybe
Jim was referring to the days before Bockbeer, rather than surveying
with Brunton and tape...
