The owner of CaveSim would like to return to Texas for TCR this year.

Here’s a link to Cave Sim’s website: https://www.cavesim.com/. Take a look.
It’s cool and interesting.

CaveSim came to TCR in 2013 and 2015. It was very popular. Kids did it all
day long. Many adults did it, too. I did. It’s both educational and fun.
See the website. There are videos and plenty of information. Read the
CaveSim story.

I raised the money for CaveSim to come to TCR in 2013. I sent emails to
Texas cavers I knew had solid jobs and could afford to donate $100 or less
to bring something so interesting and educational about caves to Texas.
Within a day or two the necessary amount of money was received or promised.

I am unable to ride herd on it again this year. In two days I’m going to
Washington State to get on a cruise ship as speaker for two weeks. In
September I’m doing the same but from Iceland to Canada.

It’s someone else’s turn to give leadership to this.

Dave Jackson, creator of CaveSim, is copied herewith. He tells me that $950
of the necessary $3,200 has been raised through Texas grottos. The ASS and
GHG are to take it up at their next meetings.

Who would like to take the lead in raising the money for this? I’ll pledge
$100 to get it started, and I’m an old retired/pensioner caver.

Good caving,

Bill Steele
