• set default values for TM_PROJECT_DIRECTORY and TM_COMMENT_START. The latter is missing e.g. in text files • use LOGNAME instead of USER, since the latter is deprecated, see environ(7) (not that it will ever go away, or we do not use it a ton of other places)
