That could be a cool set of hooks!
What about a plist of {where = start-finish; what = “tooltip text”;
action=“commands that might fixup"} items which would allow a command to read
it, and scroll the user over the contained points etc.
This could also implement todo and other nice things without the user writing
into the source file, but rather into a "<file_name>.support” file
