It looks as both the companies are looking towards the other for the new development so that they can come up with some thing better than that before the other one. A few months back Google launched its browser Google Chrome, while Microsoft has the IE. Similarly last month Microsoft came up with Bing a new search engine to give fight to the Google. It is a well known fact that Google is the King of the search engine.* <http://www.inewsindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/google-vs-microsoft.jpg> These were not enough, then Google announced the development of new operating system Chrome OS, while in the field of OS Microsoft is the king. Microsoft is dealing with operating systems from last 28-29 years, while it is the first OS of Google. In reply to this MS Yesterday launched MS Office 2010. Let me give a comparison between the two search giants. As far as Search Engine is concerned, Google is far better than Microsoft. Many users prefer Google only for doing any kind of search. Even I too prefer Google for any online search. There was a time when I use to search the back links in Google as well as MSN too, but since they removed the feature I lost the interest in MSN, and now if I need any search I goes to Google to do it. Bing is like a child to Google and frankly many people are claiming that it is better than Google but I have not yet found it interesting. So far I guess there will be vary less number of people who completely left Google and started doing search in Bing. As far as browsers are concerned, Microsoft is far better than Google. One of the most important reason behind this was the popularity of Windows which comes with IE. Many research shows that IE is the most used web browsers in the world, although I seriously doubt on this. I have not touched IE from last four years. I usually prefer Mozilla Firefox, than any other web browser. Even I know that my websitewww.inewsindia.com is not looking good in IE, while it looks perfect in Firefox, still I don’t consider this as a big problem. A few months back, when Google launched Chrome, I too tried them, but did not found them interesting so I dropped them. So in the case of web browsers Chrome is like child to IE. But, the future is of browsers, and it is supposed that after some time browsers will act as an operating system too. And with time Chrome will become more and more powerful than IE, or any other web browser. Now if we come towards the operating systems, then frankly Google is like child in front of Microsoft. It is true that with the announcement of Chrome OS every body is looking towards Google, but it’s not like that Chrome OS will capture the market instantly from Microsoft. Microsoft is the king of operating system business, they are in this line from 1979 and the best part is that they have the hold over the computer users. There are millions and billions of people around the globe, who are not at all aware or comfortable of any other operating systems than Windows, and it will take huge time of Google to convert them from Windows to Chrome OS. So I guess MS is not so much worried about this development. It is true that earlier MSN was a serious threat to Google, but with time Microsoft neglected them (no one knows the reason why?) and now Microsoft is trying to come up with Bing, while Google is giving them serious threat in case of Web Browsers and Operating System too. Future will reveal which company will become winner, but this fight will give some interesting development to the end users.
