Honda Accord Sedan Car Complete Information And Pics

Being that time of the year where most automakers in the United States
release their updated models, Honda decided to launch its 2010MY Accord
line-up that receives a small number of new features. To be honest, they're
so insignificant that we'd advise you to totally skip this post if you don't
want to waste your time, but if you insist to find out, well just follow the
jump.

Changes for the 2010MY Accord include the expanded application of Bluetooth
HandsFreeLink to vehicles equipped with leather seating surfaces that was
previously exclusive to navigation-equipped models, new rear seat
ventilation ducts on Accord Sedan EX and EX-L models and a more-contrasting
"lighter" gray color theme for the climate control buttons on all models.

Also, on models equipped with the available dual-zone automatic climate
control, the manual fan control override button now includes on/off
functionality with corresponding changes to the button graphic while the
dual-zone activation button name changes to "SYNC" from "DUAL" - supposedly
for additional simplicity.

Currently available as a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe (the five-door
Crosstour will enhance the rang this fall), the Accord is offered with a
2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a 3.5-liter V6. Prices start from $21,055
for the sedan and from $22,555 for the Coupe. For detailed pricing on all

Honda Accord Coupe 2010 Highlights And Pics

Eighth generation of Honda Accord is very near to its release. So how would
2009 Honda Accord Coupe that is going to be launched around the spring or
summer of 2008 look like. We have very little information on that but what
we could claim is that it would very much resemble 2009 Honda Accord Coupe
Concept, revealed in January at the North American International Auto Show
in Detroit.

We could very much expect a choice between 4-cylinder engine and a V6. The
next generation V6 (with Honda’s i-VTEC variable valve timing) is going to
be more fuel efficient as claimed by company. V6 with its Variable Cylinder
Management (VCM) technology will surely make it possible as the technology
de-activates every other cylinder when the car is cruising under light load
to reduce fuel consumption. Once higher power is required engine runs with
its all the cylinder activated.

There is no doubt for the safety features of the future Honda Accord Coupe
due to Honda’s Safety for everyone initiative. Honda has set up a baseline
of safety features for all its future models. 2009 Honda Accord Coupe will
be for sure have front and side-impact airbags for people sitting at front
seats, the curtain style head protection airbags for both front and rear
would fall in the basic safety features. The electronic stability control
and advanced anti-lock brakes presence could not be denied. ACE i.e. Honda’s
Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure would be present which
incorporates a front-end frame structure primarily designed to wholly soak
up and dissolve crash energy over a big area in case of a frontal collision.

We wish that 2009 Accord concept Honda will make it to production without
too many changes.

Honda City 2009 Detail Pictures Information

The details specifications of the new Honda City 2009 are now officially
available as it has been released in Thailand. It is expected to be priced
around Rs. 12 lakh in Pakistan. For the first time, Honda is also releasing
Honda City in Europe which means that Honda is expecting alot from this new
Honda City 2009. I am not surprised to see such expectations from the new
Honda City as a detail look at it really impressed me alot.

According to Pautan, the following are the details of the 2009 Honda City:

The European market Honda City will be fitted with a 100 PS 1.4 liter i-VTEC
engine mated to a 5-speed transmission, and apparently the new City - like
its European Jazz and Civic hatch siblings - will feature a 6-speed i-SHIFT
automated manual transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifts will serve
those who do not want to bother with a manual clutch on a daily basis.

The 5-speed manual transmission has been improved over the previous version,
now featuring a carbon synchromesh for smoother gear changes as well a new
set of gear ratios optimised for the new engine.

In one of their other posts they gave the following details for the version
released in Thailand and which is expected to be released in Pakistan as
well.

The new Honda City is powered by solely by a 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine mated
to either a 5-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual It is 4,395mm long,
1,695mm wide and 1,470mm tall, so it is slightly longer (+5mm), slightly
wider (+5mm) but not as tall (-25mm) as the previous model. Making it wider
and not as high reduces the whole hatchback with a boot tagged on look that
the City it replaces had.

It s quite an attractive car and the lines flow alot smoother than the model
it replaces. I hope that for those who don’t fancy the grille at the front
all that much (as expressed in some previous posts), there will be a
replacement Modulo grille that they can opt for. This was an option that
Accord owners who preferred not having an “empty†grille - they could opt
for a Modulo grille that had a little bar running through it.

Below are some of the latest local Pakistani pictures after the car has been
made public here.

The 2003 facelift, designated the CH series[6], introduced a heavily
updated VR-X, which included new 16" alloys, stiffer suspension, body
styling kit, and gear shifter borrowed from the Lancer Evolution. In 2004,
the new Lancer wagon was introduced as a direct replacement for its ageing
predecessor.

In August 2005, all Lancers were upgraded to the 2.4 L 4G69 engine,
producing 115 kW (154 hp) and 220 N·m (162 lb·ft) of torque. The upgraded
engine also saw a change in trim levels and upgraded equipment—the ES and LS
models now featured a more upmarket looking black interior, while the VR-X
gained a new black grille to closer resemble the Lancer Evolution IX. The
equipment levels of all models were also upgraded, with the LS and VR-X
gaining climate control, and a premium audio system sourced from the luxury
Mitsubishi Verada. The Exceed model was discontinued, and all updated models
now used JDM sized rear bumpers instead of the larger USDM sized versions.
Additionally, the wagon also saw these changes; and as of 2007, continues to
be sold alongside the sedan.

The ES and LS models were given a minor facelift for the 2007 model year;
this time gaining the same front grille as the US models, and putting it
into line with the current corporate look—similar to that of the Colt and
the locally built 380. Prior to the introduction of the all-new ninth
generation Lancer, a limited edition ES model dubbed 'Velocity' went on
sale. This package included VR-X grill, rear spoiler, leather/alcantara
bolsted seats, sports pedals, 15" OZ alloy wheels and chrome exhaust tip—all
for the same price as the previous standard ES.

In North America, additional minor styling changes also occurred for 2005
and 2006. For the 2005 model year, the grille was changed to include more
fins to reflect a closer similarity to the North American Galant. For the
2006 model year, the fascia was changed again from a bridged fascia to one
with an open vent after Mitsubishi received complaints from current owners
regarding its similarity in appearance to General Motors Division Pontiac's
corporate look, and to bring the appearance closer to its bigger brother,
the Evolution.

In Mexico, the Lancer was available in DE, ES, LS and GS trims with a 2.0 L
DOHC 4G63 engine. There were no estate versions: only the four-door saloon.

The year 2000 saw the release of the seventh-generation Lancer Cedia in
Japan (meaning - Century Diamond); though in most markets the seventh
generation Lancer continued, built at Mitsubishi's Mizushima plant in Japan.
The new model was available in sedan and station wagon forms. The Mirage,
apart from the export models, became a different car in Japan that was
unrelated to the Lancer. In Europe, the Lancer was not offered in some
countries, being too close to the size of the Dutch-built Carisma, so the
Evo VII model sold there bore the Carisma name. This is the first generation
in many years where the Lancer nameplate is universally used. It is still
sold in Japan where the eighth generation Lancer is known as Galant Fortis

In North America, the Lancer Cedia was introduced in 2002 as a direct
replacement for the Mirage. It is powered by a 2.0 L 4G94 engine producing
120 hp (89 kW) and 130 lb·ft (176 N·m) of torque.

In Australia, the seventh generation Lancer was introduced as the CG series
in July 2002 with the 2.0 L 4G94 engine. It was introduced as a replacement
for the seventh generation sedan, and was sold alongside the popular seventh
generation coupe.

In Australia, the sixth sold from 1996-2004. It was designated as the CE
series. Like the previous generation, it was available in a variety of body
styles, which helped to cater for a more broad audience. The introduction of
a sporty MR coupe helped to target this model directly towards a younger
audience.

The station wagon continued on as a CE model, even though it was essentially
carried over from the previous generation. This model had an unusually long
model run, becoming increasingly uncompetitive as the years went by and
often heavily discounted by dealers. Towards the end of its model run,
Mitsubishi introduced some limited edition models (based on the GLi) to
remain competitive with its rivals, these editions featured extras such as
sports interiors, alloys and body kits off higher spec models. Generally,
this generation sold well throughout its production run.

The first Pajero prototype was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November
1973. The Pajero II prototype followed in 1978, five years later.
Mitsubishi’s aim was to create more of a recreational vehicle, not just an
SUV.

In January 1983, the first Pajero made its debut at the Paris Dakar Rally,
taking first place in 1985 at only the third attempt. To date, the Pajero is
the most successful vehicle in the Dakar Rally. This not only gave the
Pajero an offroad reputation, but also helped in the sales department.
