Yesterday while my wife was aboutto leave in the morning to the nearby temple she did not find her lota lotakuta (almost damaged umbrella) for shade from getting hot Sun. She made aquery- where is my umbrella? Only we two are in the home. Sothe query is intended to me either to answer where I would have taken it andkept for tidiness or help her in search of it leaving my laptop work and searchas the MAIN SEARCHER. One can search things like a lotalota umbrella easily if kept anywhere if nothing is kept over it like clothesto be folded or half folded. If such things like pillow are kept over it afterafternoon siesta? If sofa’s removable back is kept after comfortable siesta? Ifnewspaper is kept haphazardly over it? She came to my room and searchedthe over the sofa in my room. My lap top bag and Hand bag kept over it came asthe biggest hindrance for her search. She looked at the umbrella kept by me foremergency in my almirah. It is a slightly costly umbrella purchased a yearback. I thought I could give it withconditions. However I told something else. The periods (Main and sub) are not so good to me of the planets. I said- “Kuntham poyal kudathilum thappanam”. (If spear is lost one hasto search in the pot also) She retarded- You search in Kutam(pot). Unless I join search, theatmosphere would not be good. It was getting late for her to go to temple. Nowhere umbrella is seen whereshe normally keep it. After a few minutes of search I just murmured- Did youkept it in Satchdananda sabha. Yesterday she had gone there formeditation. I did not add, meditationshould give more concentration. She stared at me- It was in thelate evening. Will I take umbrella in the late evening? What is your querywithout sense? So I did not ask whether shemissed in the nearby bakery or vegetable shop after that. I recollected- It was a yearback. She had gone with a few friends to a temple about 3 KMs away with brandnew umbrella brought by son from Arab country. After two days she recollectedabout the umbrella kept in the temple and forgot to bring back Hiring an auto she went there insearch- Phalam poojyam. (Result negative) Money lost above the cost of a localumbrella as auto fare. Son comforted her at that time -I would bring another umbrella next year. Missing umbrella is common amma. Chargeof the lengthy ISD call too would have been more than the cost of umbrella- Iam sure. Nobody would normally touch it.It has handle come out if not careful and two or three rods are protrudingcoming out of stitching in the cloth frame work. If umbrella is un-whirled it wouldappear almost a square. Now in an effort of comforting Itold- You may use my umbrella and open it slowly and close slowly. Also you should be careful.The terms and conditions were most irritating. She replied – Guiding me like achild? I would better go with Sari folding over my head or with a cap. I did not tell- Going to the templeis not like an excursion to wear the cap. By the time lady servant had comefor works. She was having the umbrella given by us on a rainy day about 3months back. She said- Amma intha koda edutthukunka. (You may please take thisumbrella). I cannot write the complex feelings appeared on my wife’s face atthat time. Holding the umbrella used by servant lady for months? She left telling sun is not thatmuch hot, tacking beautifully the situation. Temple is only three minutes’ walk. Absorbed in the iyer the great 2ndpart, I was in its preparation surfing the net etc. Temperature was gettinghigh I switched my Air Conditioner. After one hour she returned. In the temple she had received acall about the hospitalisation of a cousin sister. A little worried of it, shefirst asked- have you got the umbrella by this time searching it? I said- The servant lady wascleaning. I should not slip on the wet floor. She replied – It is one hoursince I left. You never bothered of the umbrella so precious to me. After a pause enjoying the coolbreeze she asked- This morning itself you are switching on AC. If I put AC inbed room now what would be your comment? She looked at the modem lamps- Alwayson internet. I felt I would close the internetpages and take the prasna. I did not recollect the periods (Main and sub) arenot so good to me of the planets for now in the hurry of closing pages. On closing finally the yahooopening page appeared. Witha photo of the young girl showing the loin area and measuring with a tape andcaption-“Get a flat belly” For a moment she looked at it. InYahoo opening pages it is common to have these types of pictures and they wouldchange after a few seconds. Can’t you read the full details-Innocent I am – said yes? Can’t you see the snap too. Now I understood whereshe is going to trap me. I changed the topic- We would seethe prasna. Understanding clearly I am changing the topic she said close allthose things and then she would come to see the prasna.
