10. Origin of Kaveri the river.

Once sageAgasthia was coming through south. Not able to get separated from wife
Lopa mudra , he changed her towater, and poured in  Kamandalu and wascoming.
Lopa mudraalways desired to be come a river.

It was time for sandhya, sage kept Kamandaluon a rock, went to a small water
pond near and started performing sandhya.

Lord Ganesha took the form of a crow. He came near the kamandalu. He tilted it.
The lid got opened, waterstarted flowing as a river. This is the origin of
river Kaveri.

11. Lord Saneeswara and the crow.

LordSaneeswara hold a crow in his hand. It is told to ward of evils if any
occur during Sanidasa, sani subperiod, or Kandaka sani or ezharasani, to feed
crows.

WhetherSani dasa is there or not it is good to feed crows. It is good to give
themwater to drink. Now having multiplex buildings, no cleaning of vessels
outsidekeeping with water, they really become thirsty without getting water.

Once ourmember Sri  Srinivasa raju iyer suggestedthrough his postings to keep
some water on terrace in a flat pot withoutfalling in summer . They would come
and drink water. Following the suggestion, last summer I kept a small bowl every
day filled with water. The crows startedeating biscuit bits dipping in water.
Rarely drinking water without biscuit bit.

I haveseen many times crows sitting in the overhead water tank overflow pipe,
todrink excess water while falling waiting for falling. Many days I have run
themotor for flowing water, not one crow , two or three crows I found
drinkingwater flowing down through the pipe.

12. Cawling and guests.

In pastwhile crows crawl, it was usual to say an indication of guests or some
letters.70% this used to be correct. This was there in the response by Sri
Venkitaraman on 19-2-2021 also.

Now a daywe hear crows caw in the early morning. Hearing it mostly my wife
wake up. Afterwards they are mostly silenttill evening. Evening again they caw
while going to nests.

Nowadays  a lot of crows caw   meanssomething has occurred to one among them.

Whilefinding good food, they caw, but limited. Probably they have also changed
theirpattern of living.

I forgotto say- The crows more like other eatables like biscuits , pappadam,
vada etc.I have tried. if we keep rice and near some biscuits , crow first take
biscuitsand not rice. Further they estimate the quantity, caw once or twice.
Stop cawingafter wards. Silently as in a que, they take biscuit bits and fly.
Some taketwo in the beak if they are more hungry.

Update- I am not sure  how  the pattern has changed. Nowadays in the
earlymorning   they like rice left over previous day intendedfor cows. After
seeing they are eating from it, smallquantity of rice is kept in the gate now.
They eat partially.

I will continue in next posting.
