Q2 What are some smallmistakes that make huge problems? A2 R.K. Shwetabh Sun PediatricSpecialist at Government of Odisha (2020–present) When you will work in rural/semi urban area you will get many (at leastonce in a week) children who will come after accidental ingestion of Keroseneoil.Initially anyone will get curious as why so many children are coming tohospital with ingestion of kerosene oil. You will try to enquire how thechild got assess to Kerosene oil. On enqiring in 99 % of cases you will findthat the parents had kept Kerosene oil in empty “Sprite” bottle somewhere inreach of child.Out of curosity orthirst the child took the bottle and drank the content inside it.Since, thebottle of “Sprite” is not transparent but green in colour so even a grown upchild mistakes the content for water and drinks it. In maximum cases its 500 ml of bottle I have seen many childrendeveloping pereistent cough, respiratory difficulty ,pneumonia, pleuraleffusion (collection of water in lungs in simple words) and even death due to kerosene ingestion. Isn't it such a small mistake made by few parent for which huge price ispaid. PS-This post is not against “Sprite” but against small careless mistakeof keeping kerosene in empty “Sprite” bottle which leads to such complications. Q3 o all waves need somematerial to travel through? A3 David Casey, formerElectronic Engineer Answered July 7, 2019 Do all waves need matter totravel? Electromagnetic waves don’t need mater to travel. The changing electric field induces a changingmagnetic field which propagates the electric field in empty space. I think you need anaccelerating electric charge on some matter to create the electromagnetic wavethough. Gravity waves probably propagate in empty space also. Sound waves and surface wavessuch as on water do need mater to propagate. Q4 Why can't the Earth'score melt the whole planet? A4 Shiva Kumar N R, Alwaysdreamt of being a theoretical physicist. 8-3-2021 Think about a frozen-over lake in the winter. The water underneath isliquid, but it doesn't melt the ice. In fact, it wasn't even able to stop theice from freezing as the weather got colder in the winter. The surface of thelake was losing heat faster than it could soak up heat from the warmer waterbelow, so it froze while the deeper water was still liquid. The earth was completely moltenright after the impact that formed the moon. That's like the lake at the end of fall. The liquid surface radiated heat away into spaceuntil first the surface solidified (pretty quickly) and then the depth of solidrock got greater and greater. The hotter molten rock down below just couldn't heat up the surface fastenough to keep it molten. Q5 What are the weirdestbuilding designs ever made? A5 Shabarinath Nair sat StudiesBachelor of Architecture at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur(Expected 2023) The unofficially named ‘FishBuilding’ is actually the Regionaloffice for the National Fisheries Development Board, located near Hyderabad,India. This building became the poster boy for bad architecture in India. In fact it's considered so bad that mostArchitecture schools in India start their classes by requesting their students never to design any suchmonstrosity when they become Architects. The building has received a number of criticism due to its simplearchitectural form that literally copied the shape of a fish and pasted it ontothe site. 2. The Crooked house of Poland I understand that the Architect was trying to garner attention bydesigning something different but come on! Anybody who tries to live in this will get dizzy and high. 3. This building located inAustria was named House Attack for a reason! Here's what the architect had to say -“House Attack a symbol for aneveryday occurrence as well as small-mindedness”. He intended that the project would break architectural thinking fromso-called ‘normal’ limits. 4. The architect was feeling sogenerous that he left out all the space around the two boulders and built the house exactly between those two boulders forCasa do Penedo in Portugal In fact it looks so weird thatthere was a rumour going around that this building actually doesn't exist andits just a Photoshop hoax XD. Q6 What was the funniestthing you saw/heard today? A6 Prakhar Tomar 8-3-2021 InCollege in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering, Indian Institute of SpaceScience & Technology (IIST) (Expected 2024) So I was travelling by Rajdhani Express today to reach my college, whichhas reopened. When one of the IRCTC worker passed by, I saw something writtenon the back of his T- shirt. It stated, “No bill, no pay”. The funny thing is that none of them weregiving bills for what they were selling😂. Probably this is because they cannot read what'swritten on their back😂😂🤣. This is both funny and hypocritical😂. Q8 Who is elder- Muruga orMahaGanapathi? This is quite tough a question to answer with conclusive proof. Sri Ganesh is described as“Skanda purvaja" in some hyms and Sri Kartikeya is described as“Ganatheesha purvaja” in others. In North India, Sri Kartikeya is believed to be the first born, DownSouth, Sri Ganesh is considered the eldest. Similarly, it varies from scripture to scripture. It is quite difficultto conclude. It is surprising to see that all versions of Skandapurana/Kandapuranamare quiet in this regard. In fact, Sri Ganesh is hardly mentioned anywhere, except in the final chapter ofKandapuranam, in which He plays a major role in the divine union of SriKartikeya and Sri Valli. Other than this, no introduction or interactionbetween the divine brothers is mentioned anywhere. Surprisingly , there's a mention about Ayyappa Swamy. If we check the chronological order of events, in Ramayana, Maharishi Viswamitra narratesthe story of Sri Kartikeya to Sri Ram and Lakshman. But there's no mentionabout Sri Ganesh in Valmiki's Ramayan. The story of Sri Ganesh stopping Ravan from carrying Atmalingam to Lankais narrated only in Ramcharitmanas. In Mahabharat, the birth of Sri Kartikeya is mentioned, though with a lotof variations regarding His birth. Further in Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna specifically states that He isSkanda among Generals. Howeverthere's no specification about Sri Ganesh in Bhagavad Gita, though Sri Ganeshis portrayed in the Vishwaroop of Sri Krishna in paintings and Tv shows. Above all, one of the ,9 forms of Maa Durga is Skandamata which supportsthe view that Sri Kartikeya is her first son. So, based the above findings, I'm tempted to conclude that Sri Ganesh was born much later than Sri Kartikeya. But myinner conscience is not permitting this. We can't come to any sort ofconclusion as all Puranas and epics are heavily interpolated and altered overcenturies of time. But chances are the two divine brothers manifested in different orders indifferent mahakalpas, based on the need at that time. Both the Gods are manifestations of Parabrahma. They are absolutelydivine, adorable, compassionate and loving towards Their devotees, both of Themare easy to please and ever merciful. There's a lot to learn from them, followThem, love Them and be devoted to Them and finally be one with Them. Why not assume that the two divine brothers manifested at almost sametime? They look too cute that way right? Q8 Whichis the most overrated and underrated Indian city? A8 ShreyasSahoo 2h ago Creative Writer (2020–present) Most Overrated City In India — Mumbai It's a heaven for the rich , hellfor the poor. High population density (2.5crpeople living in 120km radius). High crime rate. High House Rents (almost double ofwhat you will pay for the same area in any other city). The city would turn into a lake with just few hours of rain. Widening gap between rich and poorthat's hard to be bridged Most Underrated City in India — Chandigarh The only city that was planned endto end. Negligible water flooding due tolevelling throughout. One of the greenest cities.Greatmedical facilities. Clean and wide roads that add tothe infrastructure of the city. Not very expensive to live in! It'sa cycler's city , which is very connected to the national highways which makesinterstate travel more convenient. Also the fresh air engulfs the city as itenters through the hills. Positive criticism must be accepted , calling something overrated doesn'tmean I am spreading hatred towards it. I have expressed my opinions in thisanswer. Q9 What is somethingelectrical engineers know that others don't? A9 Sai Sasank February 21,2020 Btech from Electrical and Electronics Engineering You are not allowed to carry anumbrella with you when you visit substation. If you are going to visit a substation during rainy season you are not allowedto carry an umbrella with you due to induction effect. When a conductor is moved between amagnetic field a voltage is induced in it.During rainy season, the moisture content is veryhigh in air and if it rains the water will fall from the transmission lines. If you see an umbrella it has asharp pointing metallic rod at its tip which acts like a conductor. A person is subjected to an electric shock if he is under thetransmission lines and due to the induction effect as the person is standing onthe ground his body actsas a path for the flow of electricity through him.
