CHEVI- KATHU- EAR

One will be sharper for theannouncing of their turn with token or physically
calling while waiting inbanking institutions. Though another friend may talk in
low tone, yourconcentration would be more to the announcement. If during your
turn, you haveslipped, in some institutions you have to take another token. You
may behearing just like that but not concentrating to another’s talks.

Sharpness of the ear is more prevalent in otheroccasions like- while waiting
for the bus, watching for the starting of a train, aeroplane etc. Though most
airports are silent, many times those who have notboarded are either physically
called or through loud speaker.

Sharpness would not be there, while waiting to hear the water falling on filling
from overhead tank. If atall some more water over flows nothing important to
happen. Some birds maydrink or soil may get wet. However, now summer, mostly
overhead tank gettingfilled itself is rare.

On those days while waiting forPostmen, people used to be more alert if some
communication, money etc. areexpected. Whatever work they do, attention would
be towards the sound of bellfrom cycle or from his voice in the street.

Though I said on those days, nowtoo many items are received by speed post,
registered post etc. If a passporthas to come and on tracking the passport has
reached the speed post PO, theconcerned person would be more attentive to the
Postman’s arrival because ofthe importance of the item. After the item is
received he would listen to otherthings.

A person sitting anywhere elseslightly distant     may also   recognise, if
more time pressure cookergives whistle in the kitchen, water from overhead tank
is falling more time andmotor is not switched off etc. This is an imposed
alertness created by the situation.

The ear wax if not falling downautomatically hearing may not be proper. It is
best to contact the local doctoror ENT. However there could be a natural
hearing loss as age advance more withmany. Not with all. Some would have lost
almost vision in old age, but sharp in the ear.  Some would hear something not
pertaining tohim VERY CLEARLY, but would not hear something told to them!!

Both ears simultaneously providegood hearing. However our phones we hold to one
ear, but other ear also catchesthe sound and you hear properly.

Ear is a small organ inside thebody and what we see is the earlobe- an outer
shield. The hair inside the ear filter the ear, earwax lubricates the ear.  The
outer shieldis different with different animals. It could be vertical, towards
side,falling type etc.

Elephant is having the biggestear lobe and this animal can move the ear to
drive away insects and CONTROLHEAT on the body. Humans cannot move ear lobe
normally just like moving hands, legs, eyes etc. by mind control.  (Exceptvery
rare people who slightly move ear lobe without touching it).

Ear is there for the vessels.Only difference- we use widely the ears of vessels
for handling and duringcooking. But human ears should not be pulled, dragged or
blown over it. Ear is a sensitive organ.

Though handles have come topressure cooker, saucepans etc., for iddali cooker,
milk cooker etc. stillhandles are to be used. All large cooking vessels are
handled using their ear-chembu, vaarppu, kuttakam etc. Their top handles with
strength are calledkathu. There is a vesselalso by name Nilakkathu.

A person more attentive is saidto have ears of snake, though snakes have no
organ like ear, and their totalbody functions as ear.

Some people are born with deafear, sometimes not able to speak also. Otherwise
they are smart in appearanceand dealings. Some institutions employ physically
challenged people and theymanage things by actions and writing. Hearing aid may
not be suitable to manyhard of hearing people.
