Q1         What can I learn in 10minutes that will be useful for the rest of my
life?

A1          Pulkit Lathar 19-3-2021SeniorAnalyst at Tata Motors (company)
(2018–present)

We all buy these small plastic bags or packets for milk, buttermilk, curdand
other dairy products.

And we all usually “khachak” (snip) the tip of the packet with a pair
ofscissors in bollywood style and draw the milk out..right??

You guys must be thinking …How else are we supposed to draw the milk outfrom
the packet...?

Arey ruko thoda, sabar karo... (Have patience… Didn’t you want a 10minutes
hack?)

So last year I learnt this thing that we should never snip off thesepackets in
such a way that it becomes difficult to recycle it.(Not to cut fully the corner)

We can all make a small cut on the edge like this-

and can pour out the stuff inside without wasting even a fraction ofplastic
that otherwise goes unused.

Edit:It is written on the top left of the packet that it is a 100% recyclable
plastic.

What I feel is that our job is tonot separate the tiny bits as it becomes very
difficult to find them onceseparated. And these bits end upclogging the water
bodies or drainage system. Just imagine the number of thesesmall plastic bits
that are created if there are millions of daily users andare snipping the tip
off.

There is a whole process involvedonce the garbage is dumped. Afterdumping,
segregation of waste is there and then depending upon the waste, further
processes are done.

The point is if the plastic isrecyclable (as mentioned by the company itself)
then why waste any of this by throwing away even a smallfraction of it that
would otherwise remain unused.

My note- I suggest a betterway of taking milk from the packet. Pierce with a
knife  having bend tip or with the scissor itself on the corner. Hold
thepierced end on a sauce pan. Milk would fall in saucepan without losing milk
andcover would  just with two small holes inone end.

Q2         What happens with flatsafter 50 or 100 years?

A2          Prasanna Bhalerao November30 2020  Real Estate · I have
experiencein real estate deals.

Load bearing buildings have alife of 30–40 years. RCC Buildings have a life of
75-100 years. But this depends uponconstruction quality. Unmaintained, empty
buildings can lose some life. So toowill be the case if there is been a major
natural calamity such as earthquake, flood, torrential rains, land slipping
below the foundation, etc.

In all such case the buildings have to be rebuilt. Naturally flats insidethe
building that is being rebuilt will be demolished.

Q3         What is something thatmost people don't know?

A3          Flavian Mwasi 16-3-2021.PersonalDevelopment | Motivational Coach at
Motivation

Babies are born with a naturalinstinct to swim underwater. A reflex called the
bradycardic response makes babies hold their breath and open their eyes
whensubmerged under water. Thisis no coincidence since babies have adopted this
instinct by literally‘swimming’ in their mother’s wombs for almost nine months.
However, parents do not bother thereafter to help their babies learn how to swim
in a‘real’ swimming environment, so this instinct dies with time.

The emotion of fear is verypowerful and can actually impact negatively, on your
ability to become successful in life. What you become in life mightbe as a
result of something positive or negative someone said to you as achild. Each
time you facecertain risky conditions that remind you of fear, you might either
fightor flee from that scenario, as the words come ringing back in your memory
wherethey were implanted in your subconscious brain.

The secret to longevity isliving a happy, fulfilled life without stress.
However, this is cliché. Thereal secret to longevityis to develop conditions
and habits that bring happiness, and a fulfilled life, like forgiveness and
loving others like you love yourself. This eliminates allpossibilities of fear,
which is the primary cause of stress.

Smart people are probably themost miserable people on earth. The real smart
people were people behind many inventions, discoveries, andbreakthroughs, but
they had no desire for fame or financial gain. Most peoplewho are today
regarded as smart are not actually smart. They stole their ideasfrom the real
smart people, and also brought themselves into the limelight, which means they
also stole the limelight.

Our brains determine ourpotential to experience the world around us. Scientists
believe our brains are shockingly under-utilized. They believe we only useless
than 10% of our brain potential. In fact, 90% of humans use only 2% of their
brainresources. If every human being on the face of the earth could use only50%
of their brain capacity, we would travel forward, several light yearsahead,
which would bring us to near-perfect utilization of the resources wehave on
earth.

My note- I read some other scientific reading , we all use our brainsfully.

There’s no such thing as anaccident. What we commonly refer to as “accident” is
a result of human error of judgment as a result of our uncontrollablenature as
humans to compete with time and ourselves.

Almost everything we observe inthe universe is relative to our imagination,
comprehension, intellectual capacity, your relative position, andthe speed of
light. That is because we have collectively agreed that’s thereality. If anyone
comes and disapproves what we already know, we tend to firstresist it, mock it,
and if it withstands the test of time, we finally accept itas the new reality.

Surprisingly, everything wewill ever need as humans is right here on earth, and
every potential we will ever need as humans is built right into our DNA.
Shockingly, due to our insatiabledissatisfaction and insane curiosity as human
beings, we would rather destroywhat we already have, and then spend
quadrillions of dollars creatingand destroying vehicles to take us into Space,
where we would continue ourdestruction spree.

Contrary to the central banks of most nations around the world, the South
African Reserve Bank hasalways been 100% privately owned since it was
established in 1921 as a directresult of the unstable economic conditions post
World War I.

It is the oldest central bank in Africa. As of February 2020, it hasaround two
million issued shares and over 783 shareholders, the majority ofwhom are South
Africans. Just over 8% are foreigners who are mainly Germans. The other reserve
banks worldwide that have shareholders other than thegovernments of their
respective countries include Belgium, Greece, Italy,Japan, Switzerland, Turkey
and the USA.

The world-wide-web is huge—nobodyknows how big it is, but what we do know is
that the part of it that is reached and indexed by search engines is justthe
tip of an iceberg. Approx. 547,200 websites or web pages arecreated each day.
Most of the web is buried deep down—in dynamicallygenerated web pages, that are
almost impossible to index, and not linked to byother sites and pages that
require logins, which are not reached by searchengines. Most experts think that
this deep, the hidden web is several orders ofmagnitude larger than the 2.3
billion web pages[1] that we can see.

One shocking conspiracy theoryabout cryptocurrency is that the mysterious
inventor of the bitcoincryptocurrency, Satoshi Nakamoto, could be a government.
Nakamoto is attributed with the invention of thebitcoin, the authorship of the
bitcoin white paper, the original referenceimplementation, and deployment of
the first blockchain database. This would bescary, because if this theory turns
out to be true, then this government couldeventually control the world’s
digital money, and subsequently, the world’seconomy.

Cybersecurity is currently thebiggest concern for governments, companies and
individuals. The demand for cybersecurity experts has been growingexponentially
over the years. More than 500,000 cybersecurity jobs in the U.S.are unfilled,
and postings are up 74% over the past five years. Of those jobs, some of the
highest-paid positions start at $140K per year on average. 95% of cybersecurity
breachesare due to human error. Shockingly, the tools to hack a machine,
awebsite or a network, are freely available on the Internet for anyone to use.

Q4         What causes a doublerainbow? When can Isee it?

A4          Kristopher Tucker, N/APhysics & Mathematics, University of
Minnesota - Twin Cities 19-3-2021

All rainbows are actuallydouble due to there being two angles of refraction by
which light escapes the raindrop. The second rainbow results from the anglethat
refracts less light however, and can only be seen when the rain to light ratio
is just right.

Q6         Which inspirational storydo you have?

A6          Gurmeet Bishnoi February15, 2020.Lives in India (1996–present)

It's a butter.

Once, there was a farmer who regularly sold butter to a baker. One day,the
baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting the exact amountthat
he asked for. He found out that he wasn’t, so he took the farmer tocourt.

The judge asked the farmer if he uses any measure to weigh the butter. The
farmer replied, “Your Honor, I’m primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but
I do have a scale.”

The judge replied, “Then how do you weigh “the butter?”

The farmer replied; “YourHonor, long before the baker started buying butter
from me, I have been buyinga pound loaf of bread from him.

Every day, when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale andgive him
the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it’s the baker.”

Moral : In life you will get whatyou give. So never cheat on anyone.

Q7         What is the most cleverlife hack you've learned?

A7          Aaron Smith 18-3-2021 Livesin Los Angeles (2016–present)

1.If you want to wear something white/ light in color, wear underwearthat
matches the color of your skin, not white.

2. If you have trouble choosing, flip a coin. While you're waiting to getthe
result, your mind automatically starts to wish for what it wants. Then youcan
choose easily.

3. Honey does not go bad, if it has gone solid it has just crystallizedand can
become liquid again with just a little heat.

4. To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug inan old
radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.

5. If you put something down temporarily, say out loud "I've put thescrewdriver
by the microwave" or whatever.

6. This engages many more areas of the brain (particularly the languagecentres)
which creates a richer memory making it less likely you'll forgetwhere you put
it.

7. Whenever you have a time to be somewhere, aim to be there 15 minutesearly,
to allow for 'time snags' or for traffic. People respect punctuality.

8. If you have bad-smellingshoes, place a few dry tea bags inside each shoe to
absorb the smell. If your shoes are not just smelly but also wet, fill them with
a mixture of rice and baking soda and leave for a few days.

9. If you suspect you’ve been given a wrong number, read it back to
themincorrectly. If they correct it chances are you were given the correct
numberin the first place.

10. Rubber band around a paintcan: Remove excess paint from your brush by
placing a rubber band around the open paint can. Just genius!

Q8         What are thedisadvantages of electric cars?

A8          Steve Baker 14-3-2021Bloggerat LetsRunWithIt.com (2013–present)

There are really only three:

Range. This has become almost adisease of car buyers: “RANGE ANXIETY!!!” -
where people imagine that the range of an electric car is so horriblyshort that
it’ll be awful to own. It turns out that electric car owners feel nosuch
problem…so this is an entirely imaginary disadvantage - it’s not real.

Up-front cost. Because this issuch a new technology, the purchase prices are
still rather high…which is obviously a barrier to many potentialEV converts.
However, numerous studies show that a $40,000 electric car costsabout the same
as a $25,000 gasoline car when taken over a typical 5 yearownership period and
saves you a MOUNTAIN of money when taken over 10 years. So the problem is one
offinancing more than the technology itself. It doesn’t help that thereare so
few used electric cars on the market and that their resale values are sohigh -
that you really can’t find a $5,000 “clunker” yet. So people who wantcheap used
cars are going to have to wait a while.

Charger availability inApartments and Town Houses. The main reason why “Range
Anxiety” is not a problem is that most people who own them have agarage or
car-port and canrecharge their cars overnight. But as prices go down, and
people wholive in apartment complexes or town-homes without car parking start
to buy them- the issue of how theycharge overnight will become problematic.
Cities around the worldare working to change that - adding chargers in the base
of street lamps (whereparking is allowed) is VERY cheap. But that won’t be
enough when there are alot more EV’s on the roads. We’re going to need to force
apartment complexes to add kerbsidechargers - to expect employers to add them
into their employee parking places. This CAN be solved - but until there are a
lot more EV’s on the road, thepressure to fix it just isn’t there yet.

The price and chargeravailability problems are going to fix themselves - cars
are getting cheaper - companies like Kandi are making $10,000 electriccars that
are really quite good…and because chargers can make a profit, thelaws of supply
and demand will ensure that there will be chargers in the placeswhere people
need chargers. The profit motive will ensure that.

We are at the point now where in the middle of2020, the world passed the
“tipping point” for electric cars. There is now zerodoubt that they are our
future.

The most valuable car company in the world is now an electric-only carcompany -
and the old-school car companies are rushing out electric models asfast as they
can.

China - which has never reallygotten into car making for the world are now
RAPIDLY cranking up theirproduction of cheap EV’s.

This one is $18,000…

The one on the left is $9,999 - and if you live in California - it’s$7,999
(after rebates):

This one (who’s price has not yet been announced) is a lot like a SMARTcar -
but I *really* think they need to lose the slightly manic-looking “happyface”
for the US market!…

and if you’re a REAL cheapskate - the Chang’e costs $1,200 - includingshipping
to the USA. (You can get it for $930 if you supply your own 12v
marinebatteries!) Hmmm…they might want to lose the stickers.

Q9         As a dentist, what is onething you think all people should know
about dental hygiene that they might notknow already?

A9          Ashley Stewart UpdatedOctober 27, 2019 Teacher at Metro Nashville
Public Schools (2019–present)

I worked for a dentist for three years and what I learned was that:

Dental health is 50/50. Half isgenetic and half is your hygiene habits.

Breastmilk, milk, and juices and obviously sodas all contain natural oradded
sugars. So, if you are having kids drink those, have it with meals and orfollow
it up with some water. The main reason being cavities can occur easily when the
sugar justlays on the teeth afterwards. So even a sip of water can help that.

Flossing is more important thanbrushing. Brushing feels a lot better and tastes
a lot better. But the food and plaque build-up makes the teeth weaker.Flossing
helps keep your teeth roots strong. It’s hard to commit to orimplement in
children, but it would help even if it’s only once a week.

Also, brushing is onlyrecommended two times a day. More than that can be
damaging because after brushing, your teeth are more sensitive. Sodefinitely if
you brush before having something highly acidic, like coffee, isnot a good idea.

Q10        What is the name of the biggest volcano?

A10        John Portwood, ManagingDirector at Insurance Brokers (1983-present)

Olympus Mons is the biggest oneof which we know. There maybe (in fact probabply
are) bigger volcanoes somewhere in the universe.

Q11       What is said in the DharmaShastras about raising a daughter?

A11        Rami Sivan January 8-2021

The general rule is that a daughter is always to be protectively indulgedand
never punished harshly - itis forbidden ever to lift a hand to strike a
daughter.

Manu 4:185. One's slaves as one's shadow, one's daughter as the highestobject
of tenderness; hence if one is offended by (any one of) these, one mustbear it
without resentment.

Mahānirvāna Tantra Chapter 8

A father should fondle andnurture his sons until their fourth year, and then
until their sixteenth theyshould be taught learning and their duties (45). Up
totheir twentieth year they should be kept engaged in household duties,
andthenceforward, consideringthem as equals, he should ever show affection
towards them (46).

In the same manner a daughtershould be cherished and educated with great care,
and then given away withmoney and jewels to a well educated and qualified
husband (47)

Q12       What are the types ofvolcanoes on the basis of their origin?

A12        Stephen Peacock, formerRetired CEO of a DBMS Archetechture Dev
Co.19-3-2021

Almost all of the volcanoes come from a sea plate slipping under acontinental
plate. All ofthe volcanoes in the ‘Ring of fire’ is a result.

A ‘stationary hot spot has formed the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii isconnected to a
moving plate that passes over the hot spot.

There is a super volcano in the far future of Yellowstone National Park.
