Q1 What do you know thatmost people don’t? A1 Shiva Shukla 26-3-2021-ProcessEngineer at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Yesterday while cooking I opened the tap of my aqua guard and draw 1bottle of water. Ohhh!! it was not even complete 1 liter. As my bottle got full I got busy in cooking. After 2 minutes or so, Iobserved water coming out from the “reject" line of aqua guard. Out ofcuriosity and to check what's the efficiency of my new aqua guard, also what'sthe permeate to reject ratio. (Chemical engineering gyan :- Permeate is purewater & reject is the waste water going to drain). I grabbed a bottle and start collecting the drain/reject water in aseparate water bottle. In no time it was full. I grabbed a glass from nearbyand collected the draining water further. Wait it was not over still. I have toagain grab a glass. See the picture below:— I was shocked. For less then 1 liter of purified waterthe amount of reject was approximately 1.8 times. I couldn't believe myeyes. I thought of repeating the experiment again. This time I took out only a glass of Pure water from aqua-guard. Somewhatas below In 1 min the reject water started coming out, I had all tools ready bynow. And the end result was:— THIS Shocking 😳😳😳😳 For a glass of water the amount of water going to drain was approx. 2.2times. As, I was free from cooking I sat and started Googling the actualefficiency of an aqua-guard. Source:- Google Guru Even best aqua-guard or water purifier are only 20–30% efficient. Fora glass of purified water we are wasting a lot of less purified water. So, please draw purified waterfrom your aqua-guard wisely. Ihave seen a lot of people filling there bottles and than throwing water afterfew hours. Or pouring that water to plant or using purified water for washingfruits and vegetables. Please realize “Every dropcounts". One can use the collected less purified water (reject) for :— Boiling egg Gardening Face-wash Dish washing Gargle In washing machine Moping etc. I have intentionally used thereject water as less purified nomenclature to make you realize that the watergoing to drain is not a waste water. It's only less purified. If you use the same reject as feed for newaqua-guard i.e 2 aqua-guard in series the efficiency goes high up to~ 65%. And adding 3 aqua-guard inseries will increase the efficiency to 90%-92%. But usually combining 2 to 3 RO in series is only done for industrialpurpose. For house hold we have only one option:— reduce waste of drinkingwater so the reject can be reduced. Hope this post strikes you while draining water from aqua-guard. My note- The less purified watercan be connected to another purifier and increase efficiency and less wastage of less purified water is a newinformation. What I have observed is after changing carbon and paper filters, the lesspurified water flow is less. The less purified water is used for cleaning portico, cemented surfaces outside. Q2 Have you ever gainedrespect for somebody instantly? A2 Yash Ghule 25-3-2021Student Few months ago, construction started behind our house. It was not aproblem for us, The real problem started when the construction reached some meters high, They constructed their walls onour compound wall ( WHICH IS IILEGAL) . so my father decided to talk tothem. My father agreed and again construction started. As construction were ongoing, they were ruining our house buildings, the cement was falling on ourhouse. We talked to the owner, he said thatafter construction we will clean it. Till now it is not cleaned. Today my mummy was talking to our neighboring aunty, she said This construction is being carried out by girl (financially), she isdoing it for her parents. Actually she is a engineer. Before marriage she decided to helpher parents by constructing a house for them and the first floor for rent. She decided to do marriage after the construction. Also I seen that Didi many times, when she was coming and keeping a watchon constructers. After listening this I was like-How great is she🙏🙏 I am feeling from bottom of my heart, to touch her feet, for this greatwork. Q3 What are the fastestwaves from an earthquake? A5 Lalit Sharma March 21-2021.5+yearsin Teaching Future technologies in Pune My Mom gave me Meal in plate. Chapati and Daal(Lentil). I started picking ginger(being Used in Tadka/Masala) pieces from Daal andputting aside so that i should have my meal free from Ginger since i do notlike it.It went on like this for next few days. But my mother didn't stop putting ginger in Daal.Neither she saidanything to me why are you putting aside etc etc. But out of curiosity i asked her, i do it every time you gave me Daalhaving ginger in it and you don't even say a single word that i am wastingginger or anything else. She quietly said You have got 2options with you. 1 is Yes and other is No.So right now you are using No.It hit me hard. After few days i thought of giving it a try. tried to eat and it was bitharder for me to have that taste. So for next few days i stopped. Then again i started and thistime it was not that bad. Slowly and slowly i startedeating ginger in daal and No more separations of ginger from Daal. A6 Steven HaddockFebruary26-2021LL.B. degree, 25 years in litigation, administrative law, collections, bankrupty and professional regulation Concrete is great in compression. You comfortably put 500 times theweight of the concrete on top of concrete with no problem. Unfortunately, concrete totally sucks when it comes to resisting tension.Over very short spans, it has troubleresisting the load of its own weight, let alone any other weight on top of it. In other words, great for columns, terrible for beams Concrete handles tension about as well as stone does, which is “not atall” Stonehenge - massive columns, tiny beams. However, there is a trick Steel works great in tension, not so good in compression - it makes a better beam than a column. Combine the two, and you get a substance that’s very strong in bothcompression and tension. You don’t need much steel either - just enough to keep everything together. In addition, the concrete acts as fire protection for the steel, meaning the structure remains strong even in a fire (which as we know canturn steel to butter, but doesn’t affect the strength of concrete. Q7 How to deal with wild elephantsin Thailand? Q9 How can it be possible tobe alive for the great saga Vishvamitra in both Ramayan and Mahabharat time? A9 Nagendra March 15-2021 Interestedin Indian history Ramayan took place in the Tretayug while Mahabharat took place in theDwaparyug. It is a fact ofno surprise that Sage Vishvamitra was alive during both times. Infactmany people from Ramayan era were alive during Mahabharat era, even Revati — wife of Balrama was from Satyayug. It is a well known fact that four yugas — Satyayug, Tretayug, Dwaparyugand Kaliyug constitute a Mahayuga or Chaturyugi. Seventy one Mahayugasconstitute a Manvantar. In each Manvantar, the cosmic positions such asposition of Indra, position of Manu, Position of Saptarishis changes. Sage Vishwamitra was one of theSaptarishis as stated in many texts for example, here is a citation from SrimadBhagavat kaśyapo ’trir vasiṣṭhaś ca viśvāmitro ’tha gautamaḥ jamadagnir bharadvāja iti saptarṣayaḥ smṛtāḥ || 5 || Translation Kaśyapa, Atri, Vasiṣṭha, Viśvāmitra, Gautama, Jamadagni and Bharadvāja are known as the sevensages. Being one of the Saptarishis,he will be alive during the whole Vaivasvata Manvantar. Hope it clears your doubt. Let me know my mistakes in it.
