Q1         Which are the 8 livingroyals of India that you probablydon't know
about?

A1          Gautham Krishnan 3-7-2021 "History Enthusiast" -Blogger - UPSC CSE
Aspirant

The royal families lineage still living - Not ruling any territory buthave
attained the level of Royalty.

Ancient India was ruled by many kings and queens be it a small or large
dominion,India wasn't a democratic country that was made a few decades ago but
It hasbeen democratic in Ancient India too. Now the people elect the government
andthe leader rules the nation, later in ancient India, most of the dynasties
wereautocratic where after the father the eldest prince was chosen as the King.
Though being autocratic whilechoosing the king but the rule was absolutely
Democratic where Kings and Queensappointed the Council of Ministers and
executives under them to look aftertheir Kingdom.

The lineage of every kingdom is present in Modern 21st Century India, some are
living the same lavishlife while some are not in the same status, while some
know who were  their descendants while some have lost theirroots.

Royal Families that still exist in India are the:

Mewar Dynasty-The Wodeyar Dynasty

Gaekwads of Baroda-Nawab of Pataudi.

Well, the above dynasty is whatI am aware of who have attained the royalty
levels but do not rule any dominion

In my opinion, the Only Dynasty whose kings and queens not only attainedthe
Royalty Levels butalso Indirectly have a stronghold in their respective Kingdom
is The MysuruWodeyar Dynasty

One of the oldest and strongest in Karnataka who ruled Mysore from 1399to 1947,
they ruled for over 500 years extending over five centuries which washeaded by
25 kings.

The only kingdom which still has a King, Queen and Prince from over 500years
the kingdom has been ruled by 25 kings.

In 1761 Hyder Ali the commander in chief of the Wodeyar dynasty took overthe
throne and ruled and later his son Tippu Sultan Succeededd Hyder Ali. Afterthe
death of Tippu Sultan in the “Fourth Anglo-Mysore War” he was defeated bythe
British in 1799. Laterthe Wodeyars were restored by the British from 1799 to
1947.

Mysuru Dasara and Wodeyars

The most famous Mysuru Dasara - the state festival of Karnataka which
iscelebrated in the City of Mysore even now for 10 days which is also called
asNavarathri, festival denotes the Victory of Truth over Evil, it was the Day
GoddessChamundeshwari killed the Demon Mahishasura.

Wodeyars took charge of continuing the celebration of Dasara after thefall of
the Vijayanagara Kingdom, the festivities began with the Wodeyar RoyalCouple
performing a special pooja to Goddess Chamundeshwari in the Templelocated on
top of the Chamundi Hill.

During the Krishnanraja Wodeyar 3 in 1805, the tradition of having aspecial
Darbar in the Palace began during Dasara even now to date 2019 theSpecial
Darbar is held and attended by members of the royal family, Guests, officials
and the people.

The present Heir of the Wodeyar Dynasty is Yaduveer KrishnadattaChamaraja
Wodeyar who coronated in the year 2015 after the Death of
SrikanthdattaNarasimharaja Wodeyar in 2013.

So, the Mysuru Wodeyar’s legacystill continuing will continue in the future too.

P.S. - There are other Royal families too who still practice and hostsuch
festivities in the respected places.

Q2         What is the mostinteresting fact that you know and I don't, but I
should?

A2          Lucky Ravula August 25, 2020Football & Knowledge Freak

This is Something unique !! And most of us are unaware of it.

This is aboutOur Indian “Lok Sabha”.

Reason Behind this : In the year 2009, MaulanaBadruddin Ajmal MP from Dhubri in
Assam Was Alloted to Number 420 seat in LokSabha.

420 is the number of theinfamous Section of the Indian Penal Code.

He was Not Happy With That Number and He immediately asked the Lok
SabhaSecretariat to change his number.

He told them to give any numberexcept 420. He also said that he can even accept
the so-calledunlucky Number 13.

He also Said, MP's used to avoid this Number but, he made clear that he wasnot
comfortable with the number 420. Because it's an identity number.

Hence, Lok sabha Alloted 419Aand Lok sabha Abolished the number 420.

Lok Sabha officials said that Ajmal is not the first MP to shrinkDivision no
420. The problem first cropped up in the 14th Lok Sabha. AfterAjmal's Request
They have formalised this Arrangement. And also Number 13 isconsidered as
Inauspicious.

Q3         Which developed areas ofIndia have the best air quality?

A3          Mahi March 31-2021 A Sri Lankan Tamil who love Indianculture

Well as you already know developed areas have high pollution. So i’mgoing to
give places as per their development category. Let’s go from less developed
tomore developed. Be known less development places which come in topwill have
very good air quality.

Mangalore in Karnataka statehas very good air quality for it’s development.

Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu hasgood quality for it’s development. I know
Mangalore is has very good air quality than Tiruchirappalli. But I
considerTiruchirappalli is more developed than Mangalore. I said already
development andpollution are connected at least in developing countries.

Surat in Gujarat and Bhopal inMadya Pradesh have good air quality. Again I
consider them more developed than Tiruchirappalli and Mangalore.

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) and Pune(Maharashtra) are highly developed cities and they
have comparatively better air quality than other citiessimilar in it’s
development. Delhi being worse in that category.

Q4         What is the strangestdiagnosis a doctor on Quora has ever made?

A4          R.K. Shwetabh 4-4-2021Pediatric Specialist at Government ofOdisha
(2020–present)

This diagnosis was not made by me but one of my Asst Prof when he wasdoing SR
ship, and he has narrated this whole incident to me.

So, one day in emergency duty a girl about 13–14 yr old came to hospitalwith
severe abdominal pain and abdominal distension. On asking about history, the
parents were telling that abdominal distension is from past 2 days whilethe
pain abdomen was happening from morning itself. The family was from verypoor
tribal background.

On examination there was no ascites, no jaundice, no murmur,  pedal edema, no
history of diarrhoea, nothingsuggestive of such a huge abdominal distension and
severe pain.Sir was also confused aboutdiagnosis.

Suddenly, he thought of something which is very very rare in Pediatricage group
.He asked the girl to do an emergency ultrasound.

Can you believe what came inultrasound- the girl was pregnant and was having
active labour contractions. This was the reason of such abdominal distensionand
pain. On enquiring strictly ,the parents accepted that the abdominaldistension
was from quite some time and they were also doubtful about pregnancy as the
girl wasin relationship with a boy in the village. But due to society fearthey
were not telling it.

I was also surprised to hear such case. It was really bold decision tothink of
pregnancy at that age with no other history.

Q5         Which is the beststevia-based sweetener in India for a diabetic?

A5          Manish Chauhan Updated March 19-2021Co- Founder at
Arboreal(2015–present)

My father has been a diabetic for a long time and in my personalexperience, the
biggest factor when it comes to choosing a Stevia brand andmaking it part of
your daily life is Taste.

All Stevia based products willhave 0 insulin response and will not raise your
blood sugar levels but when itcomes to Taste, its a bit of a hit or miss with
different Stevia brands.

Another important consideration as many other people on this thread havepointed
out is that most commercial Stevia based table topsweetener products are NOT
pure Stevia (as it is very high intensity andhence needs to be diluted/bulked
with other ingredients for ease of use) butblends of Stevia extract with other
ingredients like Polyols or Inulin. Whatother ingredients are there in a
particular blend (and their safety profile andhealth impact) is an equally
important factor.

I can personally recommendMagic leaf Stevia. My familyswitched over to Magic
leaf a while ago and we find their quality and taste tobe consistently good in
most of our daily applications. All the ingredients intheir formulation are
100% Natural and Safe.

one that stays with themother?

A6          Amy Chai April 1-2021

It is attached to the placenta.

The placenta is expelled from the uterus after the baby is born. It iscalled
the “afterbirth.”All the blood vessel type stuff and the cord comes right out.
It kind of looks like raw liver.Yum!

The part on the baby is clamped, dries up, and falls off after a week or two.

graduate in 2016. Is there anycareer option left for me?

A7   Sam Talreja 7-4-2021·Lives in Pune, Maharashtra, India(2015–present)

Does your gut feeling say? What does your intuition say? Trust yourheart, what
is the career you always wanted to do?.

Anything! You wanna still doand please don't listen to anyone. Society ki maa
ki aakh trust me this B.tech or B.E is waste of time.Even I'll be graduating in
September / October.

I'm not sitting for placements for INDIAN SERVICE BASED COMPANIES, trustme I've
some passion and dreams like yours. So why thinkthere's no career option left?.
There is always and there will be.

I was sincere, the whole 4 years of my B.E, having attendance 100% in 1styear.
And what did I achieve?.Nothing, I did achieve something.

That is Depression, insults, peer pressure, hate.

Still, did I quit? I'm unemployed that doesn't mean I'll quit. So take adeep
breath and trust your gut feeling.

If you believe you'll achieve success by following one path go on.

In the book, 7 habits of highly effective people the author says have amap for
anything and you'll reach it some way.

And don't worry I know how it feels. I'm in a kinda similar situation butdon't
compare yourself to those dummies who are working for SOMEONE ELSE

My note- Today I had written about a person working as technician atSamsung
with BE in the washing machine story. However Samsung tell customers- Our
Engineers will visit you

Q8         If all the products havea maximum retail price (MRP), then why are
chips, drinks, and red bulls soldfor higher prices at airports?

A8          Kanthaswamy Balasubramaniam 4-4-2021 Advisor and Tutor at Staff
Selection Commission CombinedGraduate Level Exam (2021–present)

Maximum RETAIL Price is to becharged by a Retailer. ARetailer has a simple
business transaction - He sells you buy. Plain and Simple

Unfortunately Airports orHotels also provide you additional services like
providing you with Air Conditioning, with a seat etc. Thus since theseservices
cannot be quantified - the Law allows them to charge above MRP. This is mainly
becausethe Hotels or Airports are not regarded as Retailers. Same with Movie
Houses orHalls.
