Q1         Why does the middle classalways has to suffer in India?

A1          Ramadevi Gidugu FormerSelf Employed, Full Time Mother.

They don't know the tricks about other flourishing middle class people inother
countries. That's why they suffer.

They are middle class. Born to suffer.

Middle class people believerich are born rich and they became rich by looting
poor.

Right? You are wrong.

No one has to suffer in India or anywhere just because they are frommiddle
class.

If you want to depend on external elements and support for your progress, you
have to suffer. you may be from any class. Life won't spare you.

Just use the brains and oppertunities. Never depend on only educationaldegrees.
Of course, they are useful and needed but at the same time should notmould you
to think in a certain way. If you let that happen, you would suffer.

A small example.

My neighborhood family had a garden like us. They too had some plantaintrees.
They went to their native place and stuck there because of corona. Theycame
back last month. Their plantain tree had a nice big banana bunch andalmost half
grown.

I watered it along with mine since it got fruits and they were not there. In
fact I climbed on a stool and with a long pipe watered it.

They came from their place last month. The next day cut the tree. I wasshocked.
Said with anger ' what a stupid thing you did! Why you cut it? It'snot ready.
Just one month if you could wait, you would have got nice babanafruits
organically grown. They are expensive in market.’

Do you know what answer I got? They both are well educated techies.Staying for
rent. Dream about buying this kind of house. They could stay herejust because
their company paying rent.

That young lady told me ‘Bananaplant should not flower facing south!!! It's
inauspicious. So I only told security fellow' to cut it.

I was speechless. When you plant a banana tree at North edge of yourcompound
wall leaving no place to grow, won't it flower facing south? It'snatural.
Moreover their previous tenants planted those trees. Sun is falling onthat
plant from that southeast corner only.

She said ‘no aunty! Anydirection is ok but not south. You should have known
before watering it. You are my mom's age. Don'tyou know? My mom and Mil both
told this'.

I murmured ‘stupid junk'! in my mind and left.

I called the security. Asked him what he did with it.

He said Amma, that ma'am gave me 100 rupees and asked me to cut it. WhatI can
do with this? Fruits Not ready also! I don't have family and you know weall are
staying alone. What I would do with these? I would throw it away.

I asked him to wait. My milk vendor is a Malayali. He may be knowingsomething
to do with it. Such a big healthy bunch. Easily fetch 1000 rupees inmarket.
Three months I watered and indirectly grew it. I didn't get heart tothrow it
like that.

He runs a small eatery joint with bajji, type snacks etc in the eveningnear our
colony gate. I phoned him.

He came and told he would not take it for free. Gave three  hundred rupees to
the security fellow' andtook the whole bunch away.

Evening he sent few banana bajjis and some other items made with not
ripenbananas.

Evening I saw my neighborhood lady's husband bringing fresh bananas fromoutside.

I just sighed. Brainless couple!

God gave them freely. They did not know the value. Just carried away bysome
blind ideology.

With a little effort security got 300 hundred rupees.

Without any effort and for giving just an idea, I got free snacks.

That eatery fellow' got free material worth much more than what he paidfor his
business.

The couple who is actually entitled lost what actually rightfully theirsand
have to spend money again to buy them from market.

Now do you understand why middleclass has to suffer?

The above is one example and reason out of many.

Some other reasons are,

1. Fail to recognise the potential in anything.

2. Stuck in unknown fears. They didn't get the idea, failed to think, after all
it's a plant fruit. Won't kill them! Atleast would have tried once. But no!! No
guts to experiment and walk in a new path. New grass won't grow ona path where
everyone walks. This much they don't know?

3. Blindly moulded to think in a certain way. Like a partially blindfolded
horse tied to a cart. It can see only straight.

4. Got used to work for others. Never think why can't they create
anyopportunity.

5. Fear. Fear. Fear. This is theroute cause of suffering. Fear andtoo miser to
think or dream big. Some are opposite. Think they deserve morethan what they
can afford. They too suffer because of false prestige. It'sdangerous also. Only
hard work won't bring gains. It should be a smart workalso.

Whoever come out of that shacklesare creating wonders and remaining others are
suffering.

Q2         Do South Indians not getmad when North Indians are flocking to the
South for better opportunities, food, and safety?

A2          Bhuvana Rameshwar Bornand bred a S. Indian 10h ago

No.

India is a vast country commonfor all Indians. We can work, buy land, build and
live in any part of India.

People from Northern India, N. E, get transferred to South on jobs, orfor
business, production, marketing and in search of jobs as seen in ourmigrants
from various states. Many places in the south like Bangalore, Tirupur,
Hyderabad, Trivandrumand Chennai are very dependent on migrant labour for
various jobs in textiles, real estate, hospitality, health care and other
industries. They form thebackbone of our development and good GDP.

There are just a few things we do not like about them…

Purposely talking to us only inHindi. Not trying to speak orlearning southern
languages or the common language English.

Introducing live in, party andpub culture to South.

Their dressing sense especiallygirls and women is also toomodern by average
South Indian standards. Generally South is still conservativeand orthodox be it
in school, home, office or college.

Many youngsters have loudparties with TV blaring right upto3 am in the nighs
even when living in apartments or near other houses. Thisculture of disturbing
others in name of party is very irritating. Some scream too after a few pegsof
hard drinks. Usually it is mixed gender parties which is not verycommon in the
south. Hence they get pulled up by society heads.

Spitting in every availablecorner with red stained betelleaves or tobacco
gutkas irritates us. They dirty our govt buildings, apartments and shopping
malls and public parks

We are now a little sceptical/scared of migrants as many rob, murder people
living in single houses, jewellery shops, ATM. Good examples arethe groups
which came as labourers with women members but turned out to beorganised
robbers and murderers.

Cost of living is high in Bangalore,Hyderabad, Chennai and othercities , rents
are exhorbitant and building boom is a result of vast migration of North
Indians to thesouthern India.

Otherwise north, east or west Indians, including Ladakh, Kashmir are
allwelcome. We are all Indians.

Q3  How did they shower in medievaltimes?

A3          Matt RiggsbyMAArchaeological Studies, Boston University Tue

They did not. Showers require areliable supply of runningwater coming from
overhead, which in turn requires some moderately extensiveand sophisticated
plumbing. None of that was at all common in the Middle Ages.Or, indeed,
anywhere until well into the modern era.

And that’s why historicallynobody showered. People bathed. How they did that
depended on circumstances. Some societies had public bathhouses equipped with
large, luxurious tubs of hot water, big enough to sharewith friends. However,
this kind of bathing was associated with various kindsof immorality in
Christian Europe, so people would bathe in very small tubs(typically doing
double-duty as some other container) or would justsponge-bathe, cleaning
themselves strategically with water and cloths.

Q4         Was Mahabharat fought forland or the honour of a woman (Draupadi)?

A4          Anything From Anywhere Answeredby Sipra Sibani Parida June 5

Neither it was fought for landnor the honour of a woman(Draupadi).

Mahabharat was fought tounderstand people what is a person’s real DHARMA, what
is the position of every women in the world, what can happen whenyou bet on
human.

Once Krishna said inMahabharata that ,” karuna (kindness ) is the root of the
tree , dharma is thetrunk and bachan (words) is the branches.” It means if one
branchwill broke then there will be no effect on trunk it clearly means that
ifanyone will break his word for kindness then it's not wrong. And in short
inkaurava duty sabha no one break there bachan and dharma which ravage the
karunaof a stree .

And to teach the world the real meaning of Dharma and bachana and toteach the
human being to respect every women this was fought.

And also this is not any kind of revange in Krishna's word , this was notfor a
single woman (Samragi Draupadi) , this was for the whole nari jati .

Q4         Why does Purana tell us"Pandu Putra" to all Pandavas? There is no
one from Pandu and Kunti,so how can they claim in Indraprastha?

A4          Kavana NLives inBangalore, Karnataka. Sun

Pandavas are very well Pandu's sons only by all means.

Firstly, Pandavas were born through Niyoga.

In Niyoga, the sons belongs tothe son of Mother's husband . SO THE PANDAVAS
BELONGED TO KUNTI'S HUSBAND THATIS MAHARAJA PANDU.

The biological father had no claim on son.So, Normal birth and Niyoga hasa very
big difference. So Pandavas had all claim on Hastinapura.

If Pandavas had no claim, thenDritarashtra also had no claim. But it is not
true, both have claim on Kingdom.

Q5                If you don't milka cow every day, does it harm them?

A5          Donna Fernstrom Lives inVirginia Sun

Yes. It would be very painful for the cow and could lead to harm if youwere to
skip a day.

Even if you’re milk-sharing with a calf, the fact that you have beenremoving
additional milk means the cow will produce more. If it’s notremoved, it will
build up in the udder and cause pain.

Q7         How satisfied with lifeare middle-class Indians?

A7          Ratnamala Kamath M'comfrom Karnatak University, Dharwad (Graduated
1988)Mon

This incident happened beforeCorona.

My mangalsutra chain which I have been wearing since the day I gotmarried
broke. So Itold my husband that I had already repaired it quite a few times so
this time Iwas going to exchange it for a new one. We went to one of the well
known jewellery store which we frequent andfrom where all my wedding jewellery
was brought.

I showed the sales person my broken chain and requested him to show menew ones
as I was thinking of exchanging it for a new one.

The prices of the new chainmade my head spin and my husband uncomfortable. It
was not that we didn't have the money, butspending so much on it that too with
my husband's retirement round the corner seemed foolish andunnecessary.

Seeing our faces, the salesperson gently suggested that my old chain could be
repairedby paying a nominal amount. I sighed and agreed. Perhaps some
othertime. Though in my heart of hearts I know that perhaps that day may never
come.Still it doesn't hurt us to be optimistic and hopeful.

This is how satisfied we middle class are with our life.

We adjust, we compromise and we make ourselves believe that we are muchhappier
than we actually are.
