Q1            Are Havells water purifiers betterthan other water purifiers of
the same price range?

A1            FirdoshSholapurwala, Systems Designer at Hormuzdji &Sons Military
Electronics (1990-present)Answered October 4, 2019

No there is Nosuperior and No Inferior water purifier.

All the purifiermanufacturers are using RO filters from one popular
manufacturer.Hence the costand superiority boils down to how well the device is
packaged. How well itselectronics is designed etc.

Check out thesefeatures before jumping to buy a brand.

2ND ANSWER- Pradip Shah , B.S.M.E from ChicagoTech (1973)Answered July 3, 2019

Havell afterforeign buyout is simply a marketing company with practically
ZEROmanufacturing facility for anything other than their core
“un-insulatedelectrical terminal” business. Personally I would not touch a
single productwith their brand name. AFAIK they are simply rebranding others’
products.

Q4            What happens if a plane loses allits power? I know that a
commercial liner can glide for some distance, but whatif it is over the Pacific
Ocean?

A4          Colin Riegels    admitted as a lawyer in five countriesAugust 19

According to mybrother the pilot, a jumbo has a glide ratio of around 15:1. So
if it is atnormal cruising altitude (around 32,000 feet), then it can “glide”
for a littleover 90 miles.

So if you areflying transcontinental, then you probably have options. If you
are flyingacross the Pacific, unless you are extremely lucky, you probably
don’t. On theplus side, if you do crash near an island it will probably have a
smokemonster, and you’ll get to meet Evangeline Lilly.*

However, myunderstanding is that the engineering of the planes is designed such
that theengines are as independent of each other as possible. So you would have
to bepretty unlucky to simultaneously lose all of your engines.

Q5            Why does expensive chocolate meltfaster than cheap chocolate?

A5            BhuvanaRameshwar nature lover Fri

Expensivechocolates contain pure cocoa powder, cocoa butter and milk powder
etc. Thisbutter has a low Melting point from 25 to 30 degree C. So good
chocolatesimmediately melt in our mouth.

But cheapchocolates are adulterated with palm oil as the main fat or butter. It
also hassoy lecithin as an emulsifier which holds the cocoa and butter
together. Thispalm oil has a higher range of solidification from 41 to 31
degree C. Thesetake a longer time to melt in our mouth . Some companies even
added pig fat ielard. Kit kat was said to add beef juice as taste enhancer.
They also havenature imitating chocolate flavours, colours and tastes . It is
like eatingflavoured palmoil fats.

worksperfectly. Washing is more good drying is good.

I have a front loadSamsumg washing machine purchased in 2008. Now 13 years, it
works some whatgoof, problem is not getting spare for a corroded part. The
advantage withelderly people is manual work is less comparing to semi automatic.

Q12                  Almost every sadhu/Baba/yogimeditates without something on
top, how do they manage mosquitoes? Whenever I’mpractising in the forest, I get
too many bites.

A12           DevalaRees Hindu practitioner and scholar of Paganreligions
August 1

Diet is a bigfactor. If you eat very little sugar, little processed food, and
mostly a verysimple diet of roti, dal, some fruits and nuts, etc., like
mostsadhus/babas/yogis do, insects are much less attracted to your body. You
smelland taste different. This has been widely reported by many people
practicing“primitive” diets and the like. It takes a while to cause this change
though.

This is also onereason why many of them rub their bodies with ashes. Mosquitoes
and most otherinsects hate the scent of ash, associating it with dangerous
forest fires andthe like, and are repelled by it. Even better, sit near an
actual burning fire,as many sadhus do.

Also, as Mita Shahcorrectly says in his answer, there are various herbal
remedies that they useto protect themselves from insect bites and stings. Some
of these are given inthe Atharva Veda, in the Sanhitas of Ayurveda, and in
various other Shastras, and many more are passed down orally.

Once you startgetting into a deep Yogic state, your body’s metabolic
functioning shifts. Yousweat less, breathe less, emanate less body heat, etc. -
all the ways thatmosquitoes locate hosts. And if such an advanced yogi does get
an occasionalbite, it won’t bother them.

If you just want topractice meditation in the forest, go ahead and wear clothes
and use naturalbug spray. You don’t have to emulate these intensely dedicated
specialists. They didn’t just walk into the forest and start doing what they’re
doing now;they learned from a Guru, slowly, over many years.

Q13          What are the most harmful foods? Why?

A13     Satjot Sandhu             Lives inPunjab, IndiaUpdated January 23

I used to be a bigspicy eater. I loved spicy food. Red chillies to be precise.
I would sprinklesome red chilli powder on every dish without even tasting the
requirement. Ialways believed I have a good digestive system. A bit of chilli
won't hurt. Andthis continued for years.

Until one day, Isuffered from severe epigastric pain. I brushed it off and had
a drink of warmwater. The pain subsided for a while. But the next morning, it
was worse. Icouldn't eat or drink anything. I threw up nearly 15 times that
day. My entireabdomen was burning and I felt that somebody was drilling holes
into my stomachwall. It was a very painful experience.

I was prescribed toheavy medications. I was supposed to be on a liquid diet for
at least a week.Since I couldn't take anything orally, I was given major
nutrients via I.V.

My father suspectedthat I had damaged my mucosal lining from all the spicy food
and now the acidcreated was damaging my peptic wall. It was the most severe
form of gastritis Iever faced. All for the sake of satisfying my taste buds.

So what are the most harmful foods?Anything that involves intolerable level
ofspice, red chillies.
