Imagine the situation, when evolution did not develop the Brain in humans. Then the human organism was depending on the stem of the spinal cord, to smell, sense, perceive, understand, act and interact, totally depending on the smell messages of the air. Every other organism in the Biosphere was similarly depending on smelling, sensing and interacting. Smell was the common language of all organisms of the Biosphere. Messages were exhaled, responses were inhaled, meeting the needs of all organisms and enabling the contribution of every organism, to the economy of the Biosphere. Barter was part of the Biology and Zoology. Economics was Ecology. And Gaia or the planet earth was a living bio organism, with every organism, as her organs. The Biosphere embedded into the lithosphere, and the hydrosphere and all of them depended on the atmosphere, making every mountain, hill, river, sea, ocean, waterfall, ice sheets, hot deserts, the cold deserts..., all as part of the bone frame of Gaia. When the human developed the Neo Cortex or Brain, it started, hindering the spontaneous participation of the human, in the life of the Biosphere as one organism. Imagine what happens, when an organ becomes dysfunctional and corroding and destroying. That dangerously sick organ was the human of Gaia. Nature created the God idea in humans to stop vandalizing. Every other organism by sending smell messages strived to fortify the God concept. The idea of God was emotional, felt and compelling, to revive the Biosphere as one organism. But the Human organism, as is the feature of lunacy, developed the delusion of superiority over every other organism. It developed the disease of technology and mechanization, converting all nature including its own organs of the human body, into economic resource. Economics today, is the activity that continuously destroys nature, poisoning, the land, water, air and every organism including the human who eats the poisoned foods, breathes the poisoned air and drinks the poisoned water. Our macro body is mutilated. God desperately tried to create sanity amidst the drift into industrialization by creating guilds etc, but the Rationalists or simply the champions of technology and mechanization have driven away the real feeling as God. We have today the Bhaktas in Temples who give bribes to jump the queue, so that the monotony of Darshan is finished of quickly. Science has created the belief that God can be duped, and so the queue can be jumped by bribing. Even today, we stare at the vacant space to feel and pray to God. But we just cannot smell, sense and feel God, thanks to industrial and urban pollution. What all one can do now is, to sit in front of a flower and smell talk with it.
