Q1         Why did so many Telugussettle in Tamil Nadu even though Andhra
Pradesh was richer than Tamil Nadu?

A1          Prabhakar V Knows TeluguMon I don't feel like writing a long
answer. Here's little something in brief.

Not all Telugu people are from Andhra. Most from North Tamilnadu are native to
Thondamandalam,a bilingual Tamil-Telugu region sandwiched between fully Tamil,
Telugu Regions.

First wave of Telugus moved to Southern Tamilnadu to liberate Maduraifrom
Madurai Sultanate, they eventually settled there, and started ruling Madurai and
Surroundingareas. These Telugus from Vijayanagaram, started inviting more and
more Telugustowards South, these migrating Telugus took along with them other
working classTelugu castes to support them in daily activities.

With the fall of Vijayanagaram, even more Telugus moved South and took refuge in
what is now Tamilnadu, to escape incoming Islamic Rulers. Telugus are migratory
in nature, arealso adaptive to their surroundings and very enterprising. Hence
aresuccessful in every field they venture into, be it in Tamilnadu,
Karnataka,Maharashtra, or Odisha. Telugus are the Jews of Southern India.

Q2         According to relativity, the faster you move, the more mass you have.
Then why does light, which travelsso fast, have no mass?

A2          Anush Gudimetla Studentat 7th grade|| astrophysics enthusiast Dec 2

This doubt pops out in everyone’s mind while studying relativity.

The simple answer for why light’s mass doesn’t become infinite is that, photons
are massless particles.Any massless particle can travel at light speed. They do
not need energy toreach that speed.

So why can’t particles withmass reach that speed?

The reason is because, aparticle with mass, needs to accelerate all the way up
to the speed of light. To reach any speed, we need energy. The more massit has,
the more energy it would need to reach a specific speed. More energy ithas, the
more mass it gets.

Massless particles basically don’t increase their mass, since they don’teven
need to use energy to reach that speed. Their mass is zero, and
sinceenergy-mass are equivalent, the energy they would use is zero too.

A particle with mass uses energy, and more energy it begins to use, itsmass
increases more. So hence, their mass becomes infinite at C , unlikemassless
particles. (basic) math would clear the doubt-

E=MC2

Mass is zero, so let us substitute it -E=0C2   E=0

As you can see, a massless particle literally needs literally 0 energy totravel
at light speed. Energy and mass are equivalent.

If it needs zero energy, then it wouldn’t even increase its mass
whiletravelling at light speed. As I said before, energy and mass are
equivalent.

Hence photons and all massless particles don’t get infinite mass evenafter
reaching light speed, unlike particles with a mass.

IMPORTANT EDIT:

I have realised something -

Photons get energy frommomentum. The general equation of energy-mass
equivalence is this -

E2=p2c2+m2c4

For massless particles, it reduces down to E=pc

. Photons are massless, so it reduces to this. They get energy from
theirmomentum.

Q3         After the marriage oftheir son and the arrival of the
daughter-in-law, what are the things thatparents need to keep in mind so that
the relationship with the son anddaughter-In-law remains good?

A3          Sravanthi Married for 5years Dec 1

Except for a few good people(parents), it's difficult to change people.

After the marriage of their son and the arrival of the daughter-in-law,what are
the things that parents need to keep in mind so that the relationshipwith the
son and daughter-in-law remains good?

No need for a list of things because it will not work.

Only one thing to keep in mind for the betterment of any relationship, begood,
It will benefit all the people of family, maintains peace & goodhealth.

Of course, many do not want peace, they love to crop up on one or theother
issue & create scenes.

Q4         What are the chances ofhaving worms?

A4          Ken Saladin Formerprofessor of histology (microscopic anatomy)21h

If you go to the bait shop with a little cash, the chances are very good.

If you’re wondering aboutparasitic worms in your body, it depends entirely on
where you live, youreconomic status, your habits, and your common sense. I’ve
been to places in the world where pretty much100% of the people are infected
with worms (like rural Dominican Republic) andplaces where almost no one does.

Q6         Do commercial airlinersturn off vents during boarding?

A6          Stephen Smith Retired LtCol, USMC. Fighter pilot. Airline pilot.
Nov 29

Generally, theaircraft is cooled on the ground through large hoses connected
topreconditioned air, of from bleed air from the APU. If you look outfrom the
terminal and see a large, usually yellow colored hose, it is
probablyconditioned air. Thesehoses can come from a permanent ground unit, or a
wheeled cart, or truck.

Of course, not all airplanes are the same size, and sometimes you willsee a big
kink in the hose as it is routed to the connection on the fuselage. That will
probably cause a loss of pressure into the cabin, similar to waterflowing from
a kinked water hose.

If not from preconditioned air, the air conditioning comes from a smalljet
engine in the fuselage of the airliner. This small engine does not givethrust
for flight, it gives backup electrical or air power. It does not put outnearly
as much air as the engines do. Also, most two engine airliners taxi out with
only oneengine running. When they start the second engine, air which has been
coolingthe cabin is sent to the starting engine to rotate it for start. Atthis
point, very little air will go to the cabin. But this only lasts for aminute or
so. From then you have two engines to provide “bleed air” to run theair
conditioning. Any airconditioning shortage will quickly disappear once the
engines accelerate fortake off.

meansa mish mash of things. That's what this dish is.

It's a popular, tasty and healthy dish from Kerala

Q8         What invention made youshake your head in disbelief?

A8          Nor Reza Lives in Selangor, Malaysia (1998–present) Nov 19

For me? The typewriter.I can't believe before modern day keyboards. This was how
humanity wrote downwhat it wants besides by hand.

And man you can't make a single mistake otherwise it's hard to correctunlike
today's “press the delete button” all clean and simple. It just can't be“wiped
away” with correction fluid or by using an eraser.(Technically they canbut the
final work or erasure method would be messy and too much extra effortfor
something that's suppose to make it easy)

Q9         Why is an air conditionerunit placed near the top of the ceiling in
a room?

A9          Richard Mallon,Mathematics Educator at North Georgia Technical
College (2010-present)AnsweredApr 11, 2018

Cold air is denser than warm air and so it sinks to the bottom of theroom. If
you were toplace an A/C close to the floor there would be a “puddle” of cold
air at yourfeet. The A/C would take in the cold air and cool that instead
ofcooling the hot air. Sometimesthis is the only practical place for the A/C
but the air can be stirred up witha fan or ceiling fan (preferably).

My note- While the works of additional building and jointing with
presentbuilding of my office in Trivandrum, I had to vacate my cabin and occupy
the CGM operation’sroom,  after his transfer toTrichur and no posting was done.
The split AC were fitted about 4  inches above floor level. The room was
verycool having 3 such units and often I had to switch off AC

Q10              Why do people takeshowers instead of baths nowadays? Why was
taking baths more common in the olddays?

A10        Bhuvana RameshwarLives inChennai /Ooty/Bengaluru (1979–present)7h

Ever since the shower facilitywas brought to Indian bathrooms I have been using
only these.

A regular conventional bath needs a bucket, a mug and lots of water. Theperson
taking mugs full of water and pouring it all over the body patiently istiring
physical task . Bigger mugs make it more tiring. Besides mixing of hot, cold
water is needed. This is a very tiring process and makes people come outtired.
It needs at least 20 to 25 litres of water for a good, satisfying bath.

A shower bath is comparativelyquicker and uses very less water, almost one
third the volume say 8.-10 litres . Here we do not pour mugs full of waterbut
the same volume of water is sent in a sprinkler form for a much longertime.
This saves water. It is best for water shortage areas. It doesn't require
physical workand is not at all tiring.

So we come out refreshed from a shower bath. It ensures full body iscovered as
we rotate. Best for lazy people like me. Last but not least itdoesn't disturb a
sleeping person in the adjacent rooms as it is a soft, gentleshower of water.
Our water bill is less thanks to these shower baths.

Using a solar water heater together with this reduces current bill too.

Bath tubs filled with freshwater and flowers, fragrance are only for houses
with big wash rooms , excellent water supply and for people with time.Maybe in
high end bungalows, five star hotels or health spas it is offered. Nowit is a
luxury in a world facing water shortage. Ask African countries they maycall it
as a criminal offence too.Switch to a quick, easy shower bath.
