Q1            How long do I have tobe in the sun to get enough Vitamin D for
the day?

A1            LuciaGarcia Worked at Hospitals Tue

Vitamin D is an essential vitaminand cannot be synthesized by the body. Most of
the vitamin D the body needs comes from sunlight.

The 7-dehydrocholesterol under theskin of the body can be converted into
vitamin D under the irradiation ofultraviolet rays in the sun.
Therefore, vitamin D is also called "sunshine vitamin".

There are two time periods that aremost suitable for sunbathing every day. The
first time period is from 9 am to10 am, and the second time period is from 4 pm
to 5 pm.

In winter and spring, expose yourface and upper arms to the sun for 10 to 30
minutes. In summer and autumn, theultraviolet rays are stronger. Expose the
body to direct sunlight for 5 minutesto 10 minutes a day, 2 to 3 times a week,
so that the body can produce enoughvitamin D.

In fact, in summer, just a fewminutes of sunbathing, the body will produce
about 20,000 international unitsof vitamin D. The body canstore excess vitamin
D in fat for use in winter.

Sun exposure can also stimulate thebrain to release serotonin. Serotonin is a
neurotransmitter that can regulateemotions and make people feel relaxed and
happy.

Q2            Can you eat too manybananas? What is the effect of doing so?

A2            LuciaGarcia Worked at Hospitals Wed

Bananas are rich in nutrients, butyou should not eat too much. It is
recommended to eat up to 3 bananas a day.

Banana is a bit sweet, and itssugar content is relatively high.

A medium-sized banana weighs about 100 grams and contains 14 grams of sugar.

The WHO recommends that adultsconsume 25 grams (6 tablespoons) of sugar per
day, with a maximum of 50 grams.

If you consume too much sugar, the excess sugar can easily be convertedinto
fat, and the accumulation of fat can lead to obesity.

Bananas are high-calorie fruits. Amedium-sized banana contains 90
calories.Taking in too many calories is another factor leading toobesity.

Q4            Will bank employeeslose jobs after privatisation?

A4            KanthaswamyBalasubramaniam Lawyer Tue

Very Unlikely. In fact almostcertainly NO

Neither will there be a singlerupee reduction in Salary or Pay Scale related
increases in the near future

In the next few years - the Greatest fear will be - TRANSFERS

I am certain Private Entities won’tentertain the Circle, Outside Circle Concept
and may post someone working inChennai to Rourkela or Bulandshaher and someone
working in Guwahati toTircuchirapalli. Thisdisrupts life and education of Kids.

>From 1996 - I didn’t attend 7 Promotion Interviews because My Kids neededa
>stable education platform and they had changed schools from Pune toMumbai to
>Kolkata to Mumbai and more transfers meant that more disruptions
>andinstability.

I Simply didn’t attend because i knew if i was promoted - I was certainto be
sent to UP or Bihar or North East where Schools were not of the samequality.

And i stayed for a long time withmy uncle because my father kept going to the
North to Bhatinda, Bikaner, Ambalaetc when he was in the Army.

Likewise Seniority is another thing

The Second greatest fear is -INSURANCE & REIMBURSEMENTS

PresentlyBank Employees can sleep easy because Medical Expenses are covered
100% by theBank for Self and spouse

A Scale V Officer in Bank of Indiacan get 100% reimbursement for a Rs. 31 Lakh
Procedure without a single hitchor issue. They can even get unofficial cashless
claims.

A Scale III Officer can get Rs.80,000/- a month until retirement for Cancer
Medicines without a hitch.

I am sure Private Entities will try to grab this money and ruin it undersome
Crackpot Insurance Scheme which will rip off the employees.

The Third Greatest Fear is -INDISCRIMINATE CRONY LENDING

Banks always are afraid thatPrivate Entities have lesser regulations than Govt
Entities.

Like Yes Bank.

Bank Staff will be held liable for Loans sanctioned by Crony Directors

Q5            I’m 19 my father willretire till 2028, so is engineering a great
career to choose to overcome thefuture livelihood?

A5            DD Rishi Former IRS | Advocate | LL. M.,Ph.D. (Law) | Tue

A large percentage of engineerstoday are not able to get even a job fetching
Rs.10,000 pm in India. Too manyengineering colleges have mushroomed, and the
quality of engineering educationis said to be poor. It does not seem likely
that an engineering degree, expectfrom premium institutions, will be worthwhile
in days to come. Choose only a career which is likelyto be in demand in coming
5–10 years.

Q6             Does getting marriedin May bring bad luck?

A6            RatnamalaKamath M'com from Karnatak University, Dharwad
(Graduated 1988)Wed

“Married in the month of May and you'll live to rue the day”.

Probably you saw this saying andhence the question. I too came to know of this
saying many years after I gotmarried. It was too late by that time because I
had already got married at theend of May as per our astrological charts. If I
had known the saying thenprobably I would have got married in June. I'm a
little superstitious in such things you see.So why take the risk.

There are days when we both rue theday we got married and days when we are
happy to be together. This is probablytrue of most marriages.

But just in case you are superstitious you can get married in June.

“Marrywhen June roses grow and over land and sea you'll go”.

I don't know how far all thesesayings come true and neither I'm promoting
superstition but I feel it's betterto avoid getting married in months about
which you are superstitious ratherthan regretting and getting negative thoughts
later on. You will then end upblaming the marriage month for every fight,
misunderstanding and problems whichare a part and parcel of married life.

FYImy parents were married in the month of December and she wasn't very
happyeither.

According to my son whichever monthyou get married in, you'll rue the day😆😅.

Q7            Where is a highvoltage power supply required?

A7            GirishPatil , Studying electrical engineering Answered 42m ago

The high voltage power supply is generally seen at the industrial sectors. I
live inMaharashtra so there are lots of MIDCs (Maharashtra Industrial
DevelopmentCorporation). Every other big city or strategic location has it's
ownindustrial sector. 11KV and less than that are popular high voltages used
inIndia.

Q8            Do the Swedes usecurtains?

A8            ChrisEbbert  Lives in Sweden Dec 16

Curtainsare known and used in Sweden, though not always in the same way as in
someplaces.

The main difference being thatSwedish home owners do not normally have the
almost obsessive urge of, say, theGermans to draw the curtains and thus make
the inside of the house invisible tothe outside as soon as it’s time to turn on
interior lighting.

Asa result, you can walk down the street in Sweden and look right into
people’shomes very easily.

Only in summer, when the sun never really seems to set, will curtainsactually
be used. And we aren’t talking flimsy things, either, but somevery heavy duty
calibers that block out the light like walls.

Not all curtains are usable though. Often, they are only installed aswindow
dressings, for cosmetic reasons.

Q9            How do you dry itemsafter a wash?

A9            VenkateswaraSwamy Swarna, former Scientist, Metallurgist, Quality
/ NDT Manager atDepartment of Atomic Energy, India (1967-2008)Answered 8h ago

Our washing machine has a spin drying optionbuilt in. So, most of the water is
removed from the clothes after washing bythe same spin drier.

The clothes are then put outside the house on a clothes line or on aclothes
stand. In sunny weather, they dry in a few hours. When it is rainingoutside, we
keep the clothes stand in a room and keep the ceiling fan on. Ittakes many more
hours but the clothes dry out. There are some separate dryersand electrically
heated wardrobes but we don’t use them.

Q10          When the United Stateswas founded in 1776, were teenagers legally
considered minors or adults?

A10          AmyChrista Ernano American all my lifeDec 11

There was no real concept of “teenagers” until the 20th century. A16-year-old
could walk into a saloon and order a beer in most places throughmost of the
1800s — Wisconsin was the first state to establish any restrictionon minors
drinking in 1839,when the state passed a law that anyone under 18 needed a
parent's consent tobuy liquor, and it wasn't until the Temperance movement of
the 1880s that any other statehad legal restrictions on “underage drinking”.

Manypoor kids went to work as soon as they were old (big) enough, to help
supporttheir families. Most American kids who were not aiming for
educatedprofessions like doctor, lawyer, etc., went to school long enough to
learnbasic reading, writing, and math. You could be a schoolteacher while you
werestill a teenager — Laura Ingalls Wilder became a teacher at 15 in 1882.
Wedidn't even have child labor laws until the 20th century. 11-year-olds worked
in factoriesand mines and on farms. They hunted with their fathers and had
their ownrifles.

So,“teenager" is a pretty new concept.
