Q1 What is Rama Avatar - Lord Vishnu in the form of the King

A1 Rama is the hero of the famous epic Ramayana. He wasthe prince of Ayodhya,
the eldest son of King Dasaratha and queen Kaushalya. His stepmother,Kaikeyi,
wanted her son Bharata to become the king and Rama to remain in exilein the
forests for fourteen years. She asked for this boon from Dasaratha
infulfillment of a promise he had made to her. Lord Rama left Ayodhya along
withhis wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman to keep the words of his
father.Ravana, the demon king of Lanka sent Maricha, who appeared in the forest
as agolden stag and Sita asked Rama to get her this strangely beautiful
animal.Rama reluctantly left her in the care of Lakshman and chased the golden
stag.Later the demon through his tricks pretended as if Rama was crying for
help andSita forced Lakshman to leave her to help his elder brother. Taking
advantageof this situation, the demon appeared in the guise of a mendicant
seeking almsand cajoled Sita to step out of the protective circle drawn to
shield her. Hethen carried her away in his flying chariot to Lanka. Lord Rama
came to know ofthis from Jatayu, an aged eagle who had fought with Ravana in
the skies but wasfatally wounded by him. Rama befriended the monkey prince
Sugriva and afterkilling his brother Bali, took help of his monkey followers to
build a stonebridge across the seas. Eventually Ravana, theten-headed demon,
was vanquished and Sita rescued.

Q2 What is Krishna Avatar - Lord Vishnu in the form of aCowherd's Boy

A2 Krishna appeared in the Dwapara Yuga along with hisbrother Balarama.
According to the Bhagavata Purana Balarama is said to haveappeared in the
Dwapara Yuga (along with Krishna) as an incarnation of Ananta Shesha. He is
alsocounted as an avatar of Vishnu by the majority of Vaishnava movements and
isincluded as the ninth Dasavatara in some versions of the list which contain
noreference to Buddha.

Because of his great Godly power, Lord Krishna isanother of the most commonly
worshipped deities in the Hindu faith. He is considered to be the eighth
avatarof Lord Vishnu. He played a hugerole in the Battle of Kurukshetra and
helped the Pandavas defeat the Kauravas. He is also a significant character in
the epic of Mahabharata. Shree Krishnadelivered Bhagwad Gita on battlefield of
the Battle of Kurukshetra to Arjun. He, like Lord Rama, is also known for his
bravery in destroying evil powersthroughout his life. The Lord is usually
depicted as playing the flute(murali), indicating spread of the melody of love
to people.

Q3 What is Buddha Avatar - Lord Vishnu in the Form ofBuddha

A3  Buddha isaccepted as an incarnation of Krishna-Jagannatha. Adi
Shankaracharya, who visited Puri in the earlyninth century, restored the pride
of traditional Hinduism and effectivelyeclipsed the influence of the Buddhists.
Perhaps he was also responsible forthe eventual assimilation of the Buddhist
faith in the Hindu belief andacceptance of the Buddha as a god in the Hindu
pantheon. This is clear from the depiction ofBuddha as the ninth avatara in the
sequence of avataras in the walls of theDeul in Srimandira and in other Orissan
temples and other sculptural depictionsof the ten incarnations.

Mynote- My father taught in my childhood days with Buddha as the 9thavathara

Q4 What are the details of Kalki Avatar - Lord Vishnu in theform of Horse yet
to appear?

A4The Kalki Avatar is the only avatar of Vishnu that is set in the future. It
is believed that at the end ofthe present age (Kali Yug), there will be a
deluge when Kalki  the tenth and the last avatar of Vishnu, willride forth on a
horse to redeem humankind and re-establish righteousness.Riding on the back of
a white horse, with a drawn sword, he will destroy theenemies of Dharma and

5. With the baby feet , bangles and other ornaments, withthe  golden
belt,Becoming loose , takinga  small piece of board, falling , walking
falling,When the baby Krishna comes ,with his  entire stomach  full of milk ,I
would like to see  himsecretly at least in my dream, Oh lotus eyed one.

38. They all quarreled with each other  and  fell on the floor  ,Andat the time
Bala Bhadra  fell down on earth,And you the killer  Of Madhu with pleasure lay
on the  top ofhim,As if  to show  his mother his usual  sleeping on Anantha.

41. When one lady came in the street  to sell pickles ,When nobody was there ,
the god withenthusiasm gave her lot of paddy,And then without fail  her vessel
was filled up with gold,

And this was seen with great wonder  by the people crowding the sky.

43. Due to the worry that the milk was  boiling , when  the mother left him
while breast  feeding,

Thinking that  his mother  should be satisfied, with mischief he broke in to
pieces  the curd pot ,And when his mother becameprepared  and wanted    to
punish him for that  ,That illusory  child was seen sitting with happiness on
the mortar and I salute  him.

115. Seeing the prosperous  and pleasant way,

That  thesixteen thousand ladies live ,Even the thousand eyed Indra would be
anxious ,To become  a lady like them, Oh Padmanabha.

123. When the mountain like  emissary of god of death with black eyes,Is
rushing  towards me  with  staring eyes,If he hears one of these songs
extolling ,  the plays of Krishna Will I be able to see that idiot falling and
crying.

129. An inn is seen in one place , in another place weeping and crying due
todeath is heard,Learned men in one place , in another place drunkards  shout
and beat ,A pretty lady  in oneplace  and in another place oldladies  sit and
cry,For the ears and other organs  is it nectar or  poison, Oh Lord , the world
ispeculiar.

131. Oh toungue , there is a big advice for you,

Please hear  asI am trying to tell it by my toungue,When you loudly    shout
the name  of Narayana,Only thingis that  you should not become shy.

136. Oh mind , forgetting  your root , looking after  various affairs,Do  not
suffer in this  cycle  of birth and death ,And  think  of that lord  who
occupies the entireuniverse  And who  plays there and experience  him.

140. To any one the chanting  of the name ,Once in the life is sufficient ,The
shastras  withcertainty  tell,And son of Nanda, thisshould not turn in to a lie.

160. The  firstwisdom got by learning  is like  the  pleasant bite of a
mosquito onthe body,The second state is when you do not feel hunger  or thirst
of thebody,The third state is when you do not feel destruction ,  even if the
body iscut in to pieces,Oh ocean of joy , please make the knowledge "I am that"
firm  in me.
