The foods we buyare idlies, dosa, pooris vadas, full meals.. Both veg and non veg. We also getfish fry, prawns fry, chicken gravy, fried boneless chicken, egg masala and eggdosa regularly. All taste good, the prices are low, good quality and quantityand the hotels are clean. Their one meal parcelled and brought home serves twoof us. So we always carry plates when on tours. They even do home delivery, notthrough apps but by a simple phone call. Whereas a neatlooking glass walled Vasantha Bhavan on the ECR road fleeced us for its poor quality , slowlyserved food just because they are on the way to Covelong and Mammalapuram !!Another is hotel Guru. Brand names and location and want of a clean restaurantsometimes raise the price exhorbitantly but I take myrevenge by giving my frank reviews online. Even if I forget, Google promptlytracks my whereabouts, reminds me of the place with dt of visit and asks me,ofcourse after complimenting me for the previous photos and review. As far as the Anjappars, Sangeethas, Star biryani, SaravanaBhavan, Thalapakattis, Ponnuswamy, A2B etc (brand power) are concerned theywere always on the higher end, not only inChennai but in all other places and highways too. They ensurequality, but not quantity but service is good. The bills are highbrought with sugared fennel seeds and with the additional taxes for state andcentre. So my suggestion islook for good budget hotels and keep the brands for occasions like bdays andgatherings. Q5 Why can't the capital of AndhraPradesh change from Amaravati to Vizag? I don't even consider the cons ofcyclones because vizag iswell protected natural harbour and you can build a SCR( state capital region)in areas like sabbavaram away from the sea. Area constraint is alsojust a myth because outskirts do not have geographical barriers like hills orsea. Area between vizianagaram and vizag , selected by the government, is noway different from Chennai. But at this point, its my personal opinion that the capitalshould continue at Amaravathi. Enough of this uncertainty and politics. Both vizag and Amaravathi, and eventually state, is loosing in this political fisaco of capitalbuilding. People are left ina limbo. Investments are at halt. Farmers ofAmaravathi ( and their supporting political parties)are not going to give up onthe legal battle. And I believe they are more likely to win than thegovernment. This waste of precious time is going to cost the state. We arestill dependant on Hyderabad. And most importantly, we have to dissociate from this“Capital means development” theory. New York, Sydney,Cochin, Ahmedabad aren't capitals. And it's also my opinion that Amaravathi needn't be thegrand scale city CBN wanted it to be. It better belike Bhubaneswar or Gandhinagar. An Administrative centre growing at its ownpace. And we can focus on vizag as the financial capital. This can be donewithout giving the names. But alas. Let them bear the lossalthough the builders mayrecover some money from their insurance companies. Here the creditorbanks may also lose money as do the buyers if the Supertech company provesinsolvency .They have as compensation swapped other flats under their construction for afew buyers in other places in Noida. The actual cost of construction of those 900 apartmentswas only 70 Crores (price in 2014) although theirvalue in today's price in 2022, is 500 + crores. So the total loss seems to be 70C +20 C minus the insurance amount they get . The company say its earning wouldhave been 1200 C if all flats got sold in today ‘s rate ! Standing tall all31 floors..Gone in seconds.. They have tocompensate all the apartment buyers full amounts with an interest of 12 %.Besides this they have to give the Residents association 2 C for themental torture .Supertech says they lost totally 500 crores in buying land, in paying for Noidabuilding Authority, govt permissions , NOC, (Bribing included) , bank loans,interest, construction and demolition. Why didSupreme court wait for the builders to complete the construction before passingthe final judgement to demolish the building? Anyguesses? Our judges know how to punish big offenders?
