A1         Saivinayak Service and Spares,Mon

The amount of laundry you can fit in a washing machinewill depend on a variety
of factors, including the type of laundry you arewashing and the unique build
of the machine itself.

The main factor ishowever always going to be the size of the drum. And although
the capabilitieswill vary depending on the machine, Euronics have set a good
set of guidelinesto help, and they are as follows:

5kg washing machine– can fit around 25 T-Shirts and is suited for people living
alone.

6kg washing machine– can fit around 30 T-Shirts or a single duvet and is suited
for couples.

7kg washing machine– can fit around 35 T-Shirts or a double duvet and is suited
for a small sizedfamily.

8kg washing machine– can fit around 40 T-Shirts or a queen sized duvet and is
suited for a mediumsized family.

9kg washing machine– can fit around 45 T-Shirts or a medium king sized duvet
and is suited for alarge sized family.

10kg washing machine– can fit around 50 T-Shirts or a heavy king sized duvet
and is suited for alarge sized family.

11kg washingmachine – can fit around 55 T-Shirts or a heavy king sized duvet
and is suitedfor a very large sized family.

12kg washingmachine – can fit around 60 T-Shirts or a heavy king sized duvet

Q2         Why are Andhra mess very famous inBangalore, and why not Tamil Nadu
mess?

A2         Namma Karnataka,Answered by Mrs LiliBasu Biswas Sun

Andhra Foods or Kerala foods etc are being invested byfood business industry.
There are many differencesbetween tastes of Andra foods or Kerala foods and
South karnataka foods. Thoughmany similarities are there also. But there is
enough differences to use it forbusiness promotions. So food business owners
are using this opportunity.

Food culture of South Karnataka and Tamilnanu is verysimilar. Those Foods which
is being liked by Kannadapeople is also liked by Tamil people. So there is no
scope to differentiate forbusiness branding is too difficult. Some food
business has tried for it but didnot take off.

We are living inBangalore for last 7–8 years. And also travel to Salem, Chennai
etc inTamilnanu. We have realised that good culture is very similar in both
place.Though slight differences are there but that is not enough to promote it
as adifferent business.

Like we have foundthat the Sambar food taste is little different in Karnataka
and Tamilnanu. Butingredients are 80% similar. I have found Dosa food is liitle
spicy inTamilnanu than Karnataka

Q3         It feels like 80% of the IT industry isfilled with Telugu and Tamil
people. Why is it so?

A3         Achal Gautam, A seasoned ITprofessional Oct 9

There areno stats that say that 80% of the IT industry isfilled with Telugu and
Tamil people. And this is not the fact and thisperception is false.

The biggest IndianIT centers are - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, NCR
(Gurgaon, Noida),Mumbai, etc. Other centers are Kolkata, Nagpur, Jaipur,
Mysore, Trivandrum, etc. So out of thebiggest 5 centers, two are in this (Tamil
& Telgu) belt - Chennai andHyderabad. The largest IT city in India - Bangalore
lies in theKannada-speaking state even though Bangalore has a good number of
native Tamiland Telugu speakers. But there may be fewer native Tamil and Telugu
speakers inother hubs like Gurgaon, Pune, Navi Mumbai, etc.

So, theassumption that 80% of Indian IT professionals are Tamil & Telegu
speakersis wrong. Yes, there areenough IT professionals whose mother tongue is
Tamil & Telugu. The reasonsare that these states have the highest concentration
of Engineering collegesand IT jobs. These three states have good education
levels and the penetrationof English is also good. EvenBangalore is not far
from Tamil Nadu and Andhra/Telangana. I havemany friends who come from Tamil &
Telugu belts. These guys are very brightas any Indian. Lets us not create
divisions in our industry on basis of region, language, etc. We are one Indian
IT industry.

Q5         Why is Indian Railways providing manyVande Bharat and Tejas rakes to
Mumbai and Delhi while Howrah is yet to getone?

A5         Dinesh Binjola, Lives in Delhi NCR Fri

The first Vande Bharat Express presently runs between NewDelhi and Varanasi.
The Indian Railways has plans to extend the same up toKolkata but the tracks
are not yet ready for this purpose. Also, if we believe the news then it may be
seen that Kolkata Ranchi VandeBharat Express may start running in the near
future.

Besides, there areplans to phase out all the existing Rajdhani, Shatabdi and
such high classtrains and to replace them with Vandce Bharat trains.Very soon,
India may be having hundreds of Vande Bharat trains.

My note- How much waste of money while phasingout Rajadhani/Satabdi express
coaches? Most coaches are in fine condition. Arethey going to be used in
express/superfast trains???

Q7         Do Britishers know the differencebetween North Indians and South
Indians? Do they know that South Indians arenot like North Indians?

A7         Aravind Varier, Teacher(2011–present)Sep 24

There are two queries in this question and Iwill answer it separately

Query 1 : DoBritishers know the difference between North Indians and South
Indians?

Reply 1 : YES, Britishers knew the difference betweenNorth Indians and South
Indians.

Query 2 : Do theyknow that South Indians are not like North Indians?

Reply 2 : YES, Britishers knew North Indians spokelanguages that belong to the
“Indo—Aryan” languagefamily and South Indians spokelanguages that belong to the
“Dravidian” language family.

This is the exactreason Britishers printed major Dravidian languages along with
major Indo Aryanlanguages on the currency notes with the same font size that
they releasedduring their time for the convenience of people living in South
Asia.

Currency note released by the Government of India duringthe British era gave
equal importance to major languages spoken in South Asiaduring that time.

Reference Picture 1: A ₹10 currency note released by Government of India in
1910, Image Courtesy,Banknote Index [1]

In Reference Picture 1, we can observe all the major Indianlanguages including
Tamil, Telugu and Kannada are clearly visible on the frontside of the currency
note.(Picture not added here)

However, afterindependence, all the major Indian languages except Hindi have
been relegatedto a small corner on the back side of the rupee note which can be
only seenafter careful observation.

Bank of India in 2016, Image Courtesy, Reserve Bank ofIndia.

Part 16 inReference Picture 3 shows the position where Indian languages are
printed on acurrency note.

When we compare theIndian currency notes released before independence and after
independence, wecan understand that Britishersprinted all the major Indian
languages including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada onthe front side of the currency
note with same font size.

However, afterIndependence, all the Indian languages except Hindi was printed
in a smallerfont size and that too on the back side of the currency note.

Q8         Is it possible to fly around the worldwithout stopping as a
passenger of an airplane (without any stops)?

A8         Andrew McGregor, PerformanceMeasurement Lead at Fastly (company)
(2019–present)Sep 11

No, it isn’t. Fortwo reasons.

One, an airplanethat could do that as a commercial flight doesn’t exist.

Two, a flight aroundthe world with no stops has no commercial value, so no
airline will do it.

The minimum stops possible is currently three, forexample SYD-SIN-LHR-YVR-SYD.
You also need to use at least two airlines.

When Qantas startstheir “Project Sunrise” routes, you’ll be able to do it with
two stops,SYD-LHR-JFK-SYD (or maybe another New York airport).

Somewhat technically, this counts as two… but I don’tthink it fits the spirit
of the question, as it never crosses the equator, oreven gets close to it:

Q9         Why is it that in India, only the righthand is used to eat with the
hand? What is the problem with the left hand?

A9         Aishwarya Kher, Food is my first love, husband comes second :)Sep 20

Funny, I rememberasking this question to my grandparents as a kid.

I am a right handed person. Whenever I used the left handto even touch the
food, I was scolded and told that we use left hand to cleanourselves so it’s
gross and dirty to use it while eating.

In India, as rightacross Asia, the left hand is for wiping your bottom,
cleaning your feet andother unsavory functions (you also put on and take off
your shoes with yourleft hand), while the right hand is for eating, shaking
hands and so on.

While you can hold a utensil in your left hand whileusing it, you may not get
away with using the left hand to tear your bread. Also, it’s expected that you
should not eat, pass food or wipe your mouth withyour left hand.

This rule extendsbeyond food. I was told to not pass anything to anyone with
your left hand, orpoint at anyone with it either. In general, you should accept
things given toyou with your right hand – though using both hands is a sign of
respect.

It surely soundedlike an illogical argument because the right hand also get
dirty due tomultiple reasons and either way, we wash both hands properly with
soap beforeeating.

My understanding isthat this cultural habit evolved during the times when
proper sanitation wasnot available. Today, many people enforce it strictly in
their homes and somedon’t.

I use just one handto eat out of habit, but also find it most preferable
because that way you cankeep the other hand free for holding something dry like
a phone, glass, cup, orto pass on a dish to someone. It just feels more
sophisticated and organized tome.

Thanks for thequestion Fernando Ayoroa !!

My note- There are a good % of left handed people. Thoughthey may use right
hand for writing etc, for many jobsthey use left hand. A left handed person can
serve only using left hand. Formany food preparations both hands are used.
Priests use both hands for doingpooja, we pray with both palms jointed, a heavy
vessel is taken out from oven usingboth hands only. Either for peeling or for
scrapping, both hands are used.Washing utensils both hands are used etc etc.

Q10              Why is gold so expensive?

A10       Jason Jimenez, Studied Geology (collegeminor) (Graduated 1996)Updated
Sun

Because historically since the first human civilizationsGold has always been a
precious and expensive commodity

Gold is worth somuch for two reasons. One,it’s malleable and two because it
doesn’t oxidize.Gold doesn’t rust, doesn’tlose its luster.

It’s this aspectwhich is why it has captivated humans since their first
civilizations. Gold was worth much in ancientSumeria much like it is today.
Gold’s lustrous and metallic qualities Make itdesirable and it never loses its
luster.

And as I mentionedabove Gold is malleable. It’s beautiful and it can be easily
fashioned into aplethora of different objects.

Gold’s lustrousand metallic qualities, its relative scarcity, and the
difficulty of extractionhave added to the reasons why it is so expensive and
always has been.

And finallybecause gold is also a wonderful conductor of electricity.

Also, white gold does not occurnaturally. It’s only made artificially in the
lab by using 75% of yellow goldand the rest, I think is made of zinc, copper
and palladium.

Finally, platinumis also very malleable and also does not oxidize nor rust.
Platinum is chemically heavier than gold. It is also chemically inert and will
notoxidize in air at any temperature. It is resistant to acids and is not
attackedby any single mineral acid.

Platinum isincredibly rare and is 30 times more rare than gold.

If all theplatinum ever mined were melted and poured into an Olympic-sized
pool, theplatinum would barely reach your ankles. Gold, however, would fill
three pools. Finally platinum is also a wonderful conductor of electricity.

I hope that clearsup any confusion

I 💖C2,questions, disagreements, curses and hexes!
