I am happy over the number of responses about use of Left and right hands.
I have the following to add to it. Even with the vessels handler from oven called IDUKKI, not common in all areas, but very common in Tamilnadu, large vessels can be taken out from oven only using both hands. Either the old manual grater or today's mechanical or electrical grater requires both hands.Similarly all type of grinders. For squeezing coconut milk in kitchen, or clothes washed manually for semi auspicious or not auspicious functions, both hands are used. For all types of functions both hands are used. Either for performing sandhya, or during prayers, deeparadhana, carrying deity for circumambulation both hands are used. For showing the infant for the first time the Sun, infant is held using both hands holding in the palm No person can wear cloth using single right hand for any type of functions and many more Finally I am more left handed, than right handed. I use right hand for writing, taking food etc, but I cannot serve with right hand, so avoid serving.
