Respected sir,
Thank you for all the additions where right hand is used. I meant by manual
grater the CHIRAVA. Coconut halved is  grated on the tongue using both hands.

 Dear folks
Sri Gopalakrishna writes:-
"Either the old manual grater or today's mechanical or electrical grater
requires both hands.  Similarly all type of grinders."
Not quite.
You hold "the old manual grater" by the left hand and the articles being grated
by the right hand.
In the old granite stone aattukkal grinder, you hold and rotate the kuzhavi
with the left hand, but use only the right hand to handle the maavu.
He also writes:-
"For all types of functions both hands are used."
Not really.
You give blessings and aasheervathams with your right hand.  You give
directions by pointing with your right hand.  Same with waving.  You count with
the fingers of your right hand before you use the fingers of your left.
You give blessings, boons, and aasheervathams with your right hand.  You accept
gifts and donations with both hands.
Most footballers kick the ball with their right foot.  Most cricket players
bowl with their right hand.  Most tennis and badminton players use their right
hand.

I am happy over the  number of responses about use of Left and right hands.

I have the following to add to it. Even with the vessels handler from oven
called IDUKKI, not common in all areas, but very common in Tamilnadu, large
vessels can be taken out from oven only using both hands.
Either the old manual grater or today's mechanical or electrical grater
requires both hands.Similarly all type of grinders.

For squeezing coconut milk in kitchen, or clothes washed manually for  semi
auspicious or not auspicious functions, both hands are used.

For all types of functions both hands are used. Either for performing sandhya,
or during prayers, deeparadhana, carrying deity for circumambulation both hands
are used.

For showing the infant for the first time the Sun, infant is held using  both
hands holding  in the palm
No person can wear cloth using single right hand for any type of functions and
many more
Finally I am more left handed, than right handed. I use right hand for writing,
taking food etc, but I cannot serve with right hand, so avoid serving.
