Even the Shatabdi Express, running between these two stations do not gofully packed as well. The same is with the Anand Vihar(T) - Lucknow Jn DDExpress. The time when this train was introduced, just like the Dhanbad DD,there were many other good and economic trains are there. And they are not justgood but are ISO Certified and most preferred trains, like Lucknow Mail,Lucknow AC Express and even a Shatabdi as well. The third is the technical reason as well. Unlike the conventionalcoaches, It is wider than other trains and during trials, the outer shellscraped against the edge of the platforms. There usedto be deep scratch marks on the exterior after every trial run. Basically inBally Station during trails of Dhanbad - Howrah DD. The height even pose a problem there. The OHEand the Overhead wires were too close to the coaches. Hence CRS (COMMISSIONEROF RAILWAY SAFETY) didn’t gave the nod for subsequent service, before producingthe modified versions of the DD Coaches.
