FROGS IN THE WELL II
In the history we read, Kings run away into the forests,
and live hiding self and others, waiting to bounce back. They were doing it
as a strategy to come back again who knew what to do. There are many who
devise strategies as to escape the wrath, hide under the gunnies; when
getting wrong, cover your faces; like Kerala joke which cannot be written
here, to cover up the face when in shame, lifting the veil and explaining
the act. I do not like his face; so, what to do? asked a reader in old
Illustrated weekly: Khushwant answered, “hide yourself within the four
walls corners of the little home”. So too many worms out of animosity
shrink due to weathering storms. Incidentally Madras weather is entering
all the wells and so even one cannot become the frog in the well;
down-pour; when large buses are held up, poor Toads, where will they go? So
long they thought that the world is so large from within the well; In the
rain flood took them away to sea. Well frogs are pitiable; neither know
what to do? had to believe its leader of four; and had to abide having
slipped many times; lost the independence to think independently; and get
along the WELL-WAY. I do remember the poem in English:
The world is round and deep and cool
The bottom of the world's a pool
With just enough room for a frog alone.
Where a few less than ten live; cramped tight;
Neither cared for ; nor anyone to care;
The walls of the world are of stone on stone.
At the bottom of the world,
When I look up high,
I can see a star in a little round sky....
That too one star through the gaping hole! KR IRS 21122
