Mr Gopalakrishnan speaks something unique about the USA which is not so at present. A nation well forward in thinking and grooving in all fields faster and acts swiftly, works without fear or favour. The library card is misplaced by me; library membership is so easy here, and you can have one card to go to the state library and another to go to federal ones wherever you have holding the card from. And I misplaced the state card; so added my name with PIN online; immediately recognised , pronouncing my name as well as editing all my visits and books taken as a catalogue. When I went to the library to get my card in person, the librarian( here more people work as free beings from neighborhoods also) for ID took my PR status but insisted that i shall show proof of address. The status itself is like our aadhar card, but red tapism as old as >40 years still going strong; the funny part of it the citizenship is not address proof; the online ID rendered by that library is not; the regular emails sent to me are not; but only one cover bearing my name and address alone is resident proof. My central card is not proof; nothing other than that envelope; she said she will issue me a letter and I shall come back wih that envelope to show it as a proof. Always righteousness is not believed; but bending the law is: In 2002 I posted a letter to myself and took that envelope to join as a member; today she also says the same thing. People think India is rubbish; no, there are so many nations like that. And after 15 minutes debate the climax was funnier; chief lib came there; saw the cards and enrolled online membership and the previous membership card and said to her:'' he is a donor, don't you see?; issue the card.
