Q1           Whyhas Microsoft Edge become such a bloated browser?

A1           Digital Services And Products,BusinessConsultant | Digital
Marketing Services | IT Guru2h

Microsoft Edge is apopular web browser that was introduced by Microsoft in
2015. The browser is based on the Chromiumengine, which is an open-source
browser engine used by several popular browserssuch as Google Chrome and Opera.

While MicrosoftEdge is known for its speed and performance, it has also become
notorious forbeing a bloated browser. In this article, we will explore why
Microsoft Edgehas become such a bloated browser.

1. Feature Bloat

One of the reasonswhy Microsoft Edge has become a bloated browser is due to
feature bloat. The browser has several featuresthat are not used by most users,
but they still take up valuable resources. For example, Edge has a feature
called "Reading List" that allowsusers to save articles to read later. This
feature may be useful for someusers, but it is not used by the majority of
users. Similarly, Edge has afeature called "Web Notes" that allows users to
annotate web pages.Again, this feature may be useful for some users, but it is
not used by mostusers.

2. Tracking Prevention

Another reason whyMicrosoft Edge has become a bloated browser is due to its
tracking preventionfeature. Trackingprevention is a feature that blocks
third-party cookies, which are used byadvertisers to track users across
websites. While this feature isuseful for users who are concerned about their
privacy, it also takes upvaluable resources. Microsoft Edge has a more
aggressive tracking preventionfeature than other browsers, which means that it
canbe slower and more resource-intensive.

3. Integration with Windows

Microsoft Edge istightly integrated with the Windows operating system, which
means that it hasseveral features that are not found in other browsers. For
example, Edge has afeature called "Web Capture" that allows users to capture
ascreenshot of a web page, which can then be saved as an image or shared
withothers. Similarly, Edge has a feature called "Set Aside Tabs" thatallows
users to save open tabs for later use. While these features may beuseful for
some users, they also take up valuable resources.

4. Add-ons and Extensions

Microsoft Edgesupports add-ons and extensions, which are third-party software
that can beinstalled in the browser to add new features or functionality. While
add-onsand extensions can be useful, they can also be a source of bloat. Some
add-onsand extensions are poorly optimized and can slow down the browser or use
upvaluable resources.

5. Background Processes

Microsoft Edge hasseveral background processes that run even when the browser
is not in use. These processes are used to keep the browser up-to-date, sync
data with otherdevices, and perform other tasks. While these processes are
necessary for thesmooth operation of the browser, they can also be a source of
bloat.

In conclusion,Microsoft Edge has become a bloated browser due to several
factors, includingfeature bloat, tracking prevention, integration with Windows,
add-ons andextensions, and background processes. While some of these features
may beuseful for some users, they also take up valuable resources and can slow
downthe browser. Microsoft is aware of these issues and has been working
tooptimize the browser to improve its performance and reduce its resource usage.

My note- I use Microsoft edge when privacy isrequired. Many times the websites
whichcannot be brought by chrome, Firefox  etc. are obtained by edge. The
opening pagegives a lot of information. I have included the QA for the
detailedinformation about Microsoft edge.

Q4           Ifhumans walked out of Africa 200,000 years ago, and colonised
Europe 40,000years ago (sapiens book), then what explains the 400,000 year old
Hoxne handaxes, seen in the British museum?

A4           Matt Riggsby, BA Anthropology, U.C.Berkeley2h

There’s a somewhat off date here.Humans, in the sense of Homo sapiens, expanded
out of Africa more like 70,000years ago. Our ancestorsdeveloped in Africa about
300,000 years ago, but that’s a relatively recentdiscovery and somewhat older
sources usually have a 200kya date.

Anyway, whatexplains artifacts predating that is that we’re not the only
tool-usingspecies. We’ve got relatives. Stone tools first appear over three
million yearsago, probably made by some species of the genus Australopithecus.
Andabout two million years ago, Homo erectus, our predecessor species,
alsoexpanded out of Africa. Their descendants developed into a few other
species, notably Neanderthals in Europe and western Asia. Those 400,000year old
axes were likely made by Neanderthals or their immediate predecessorspecies.

Q5           Isit necessary to change spark plugs while doing the engine tune
up? How do sparkplugs affect the engine performance and fuel economy?

A5           Erika Fernandez,Car LoverTue

During an enginetune-up, professionals do a comprehensive inspection of the
engine and replaceany worn or defective parts. Spark plugs are one of the
components that may be included in a fulltune-up, as they play a critical role
in ignition and engine operation.

Spark plugsignite the fuel mixture in the engine, providing the power to make
the car go.  Over time, spark plugs can wear out and cause stalling, starting
problems, and engine misfires. Replacing spark plugs can improve
fuelatomization and flow efficiency, which can lead toimproved engine
performance and fuel economy.

The frequency of spark plug replacement depends on the typeof spark plugs used.
Conventional spark plugs may needto be replaced every 30,000 to 40,000 miles,
while higher-cost platinum-tippedspark plugs may not need to be replaced as
often.

Q7           Ismango a vegetable or a fruit?

A7           Chef Vaidehi Pathare,Bachelor of Artsin International Culinary
Arts, Queen Margaret University (Graduated 2020)  · 2h

As a chef, I canconfidently say that mango is a fruit. While many people
mightassume it to be a vegetable due to its sweet and tangy flavour, the
botanical definition of a fruit is the edible reproductive part of aplant that
contains seeds. And that's precisely what a mango is!Mangoes are

Mangoes are actually considered a stone fruit, justlike peaches, plums, and
cherries, which means that they have a hard seed or stone in the
centersurrounded by juicy, fleshy fruit. They grow on trees and are nativeto
South Asia, but are now widely cultivated in tropical regions around theworld.

In culinary terms, mangoes are incredibly versatile and can be used in both
sweet and savoury dishes. Sonext time you're enjoying a juicy mango, remember
that it's not a vegetable, but a delicious fruit that adds a unique touch to any
dish.

Q9           Whatwill happen if I turn my air conditioning unit off and then
back on again injust a few minutes?

A9           Gopala Krishnan, Former AssistantGeneral Manager 1996-2004 at
Department of Telecom (1966–2004)Just now

Perhaps with modern technology, there will not be muchproblem I think. I use
the AC in my room frequentlyON and OFF when I relax, since it is fitted to that
side. where I relax. 14 years so far, no problem has come in the electronic
parts.

I am not justifying frequently switching ON and OFF, buttoo much worrying is
not required.

Q10         Whatis the bottom drawer of the refrigerator best used for?

A10         Steven Settles, Research & ContentManager at WorstBrands.com
(2021–present)Mon

The bottom drawer of a refrigerator is typically referredto as the "crisper
drawer" and is designed to help preserve thefreshness and quality of fruits and
vegetables. The drawer is usually humidity-controlled, allowing you to adjust
the humiditylevel based on the type of produce stored.

High humidity settings are best for vegetables,as it helps to keep them crisp
and fresh for longer periods. Conversely, low humidity settingsare ideal for
fruits, as it helps to prevent them from drying out andshriveling up.

In addition tofruits and vegetables, the crisper drawer can also be used to
store herbs, cheeses, and other foods that are sensitive to moisture levels. By
using the crisper drawer to storethese types of items, you can help ensure that
they remain fresh and flavorfulfor longer.

t's worth notingthat not all refrigerators have a dedicated crisper drawer, and
some models mayhave multiple drawers that serve different purposes. In any
case, the bottomdrawer of a refrigerator is typically best used for storing
produce and othermoisture-sensitive items to help preserve their quality and
freshness.

My note-Whirlpool produced fridge with top door, middle large door and bottom
drawerwith less cooling for vegetables. I do not knowwhether the model is in
the market.

When I saw theiradvertisement in TV  I purchased one.Since the drawer has more
depth in addition to vegetables spices etc are alsostored.
