People will always speak of your infamy, and for a respectable person,
dishonour is worse than death. The Lord says, “Arjuna, if you leave the
battlefield before the battle even begins, people will call you a coward.
And if you think that people may call you bad names but that you will save
your life by fleeing the battlefield, then My advice is that you’d do
better to die in the battle. For a respectable man like you, ill fame is
worse than death. So, you should not flee for fear of your life; better to
die in the battle. That will save you from the ill fame of misusing My
friendship and from losing your prestige in society.”
KR: What are those seen in the opening? How to face the disrespect
even if it is from KARMA. Even returning a nice favour at the appropriate
time, is also standing against disrespect. Running away from the battle
field, and giving up, where there is disrespect, is an act of admonition.
When one says that he is turning away, it means HE IS GUILTY. Had the
Kautilya, when insulted by the Nanda King, gone off the field, a big
history of a kingdom renowned, a great book Artha sastra and the name
CHANAKYA, would not have been there. After all, when someone in Kolkata
spit on her hand, while asking for charity, had Mother Teressa had
withdrawn, there would not have been a golden charity foundation existing
even after her demise. Only when pushed to the wall, one has to bounce
back; telling I will settle on the floor nearer to the wall, is demeaning
the laws of Physics. Withdrawal is absolutely, different, from the total
walk away. Kalam karudi yiruppar diplomats will wait for the right time.
Running away is childish. On the contrary one will have to analyse
unbiased, the causes of that situation, when such insults occurred. Suppose
the guilt is with him only, then how can one withdraw? He has to apologise.
That is humanity. When Amitabh in his early prime tie, went to studios for
a chance to act, so many made fun of his height and face; had he retired
then, whose loss is this? Today those who abused him then, are standing in
queues, pouring money for the same face.
Suppose there is a person. He voluntarily goes to someone and talks
about someone evil natured. Moves closely. And suddenly he says that this
person is answering negatively, so I shall ace off. Who is guilty? He is
responsible for all his actions and publicizing as if he is dharma, will
really, bring out smiles, in all the faces, who knew him. Forgiving
someone is an act but it does not mean that he is withdrawing. One who
knows the consequences and respects the levels of thinking, like Pandavas,
will wait for others to change their minds. For example, when someone is
making a jibe, just out of bias, he will not be provoked openly .as there
were no open confrontations t ll. Diplomacy by diplomacy only, but the
punch shall be finishing the battle. Another example; someone always
adopting the western styles, while advocating the fall of Indian system and
opposing the evils of Indian society; that is again a bundle of
contradictions; nothing wrong about west adoptions; that is also a
knowledge; however, when the home-front has those qualities in abundance,
unaware of all of them, sending the west to aa place where he himself also,
turn into aa pleader of peace, isa mockery; when the Indian stuff is
projected and without any proper understanding, one shall presume it as a
disrespect, and project an idol of greatness, by turning away; that too,
again after the west style expressions. Well, there is no loss in that face
off. But that is ana act of cowardice only.
In short, dushtanai kandaal thoora vilagauvathil kutramillai (when
one stays off the rowdy, it is not a crime). But assumptive projections of
false judgements and projecting them as a valour, are all bad crimes which
is, interpreted by the knowledge as indecent behaviour, shifting the
self-crime, on some one innocent. When it happens in unknown territory or
between anon and strangers, effect is not visible; but when it arises in
the close quarters, his hara-kiri might create a bad signal in many minds.
It is also not any highhandedness, in telling the householders, to eat at
home as good food is available here; enniya enniyangu
eythuba, thinniaragapperin=one strong in the mind, he gets what’s he wanted
