Krishna replied,“50 lifetimes ago, you were a hunter. While hunting, you tried 
to shoot a malebird. It flew away.

In anger, you ruthlessly slaughtered the 100 baby birdsin the nest. Father-bird 
had to watch in helpless agony.

Becauseyou caused that father-bird the pain of seeing the death of his 100 
sons, youtoo had to bear the pain of your 100 sons dying.

Dhritarastra said,“Ok, but why did I have to wait for fifty lifetimes?”

Krishnaanswered, You were accumulating punya (pious credits) during the last 
fiftylifetimes to get 100 sons - because that requires a lot of punya.

Then you got thereaction for the pap (sin) that you have done fifty lifetimes 
ago.

 

Krishna says in theBhagavad-gita (4.17) "gahana karmano gatih". The way in 
whichaction and reaction works is very complex. God knows best which reaction 
has tobe given at what time in what condition.

Therefore, somereaction may come in this lifetime, some in the next and some in 
a distantfuture lifetime.

There is a saying,The mills of God grind slow; but, they grind exceedingly 
fine. So, every singleaction will be accounted for, sooner or later.

Srimad Bhagavatamgives example: if we have a cowshed with 1000 calves and if we 
leave a mothercow there, she will easily find out where her calf is among those 
thousands.She has this mystical ability.

Similarly, ourkarma will find us among the millions on this planet.There may be 
thousands going on the road but only one meets with an accident.It is not by 
chance, it’s by karma.

Thus, the lawof karma works exceedingly fine, it may be slow to act, but no one 
can escape.

To produce “hand-torn steel,” a steel plate must undergohundreds of rolling 
processes to be transformed into a steel foil thinner thanpaper. This process 
requires not only high purity ofmaterial but also strict precision requirements 
for the rolling mill. Theresearch and development team had to explore and 
identify the most suitableparameters from tens of thousands of roller 
compositions.

Due to the extremethinness of the targeted steel strip, even a single fracture 
could cause theentire strip to disintegrate into powder instantly. The rolling 
process for“hand-torn steel” typically involves 5 to 6 rolling passes, each 
consisting ofover 20 operations. If afracture occurs during the final 
operation, all the previous efforts would bein vain. Moreover, all the rollers 
contaminated with powder must bedisassembled and cleaned with meticulous 
effort, which is a tedious andlabor-intensive task.

Failure became aconstant companion, compelling the research and development 
team tocontinuously search for new solutions.. 

Despite numerousfailures, the R&D team persisted and persevered through two 
years of trialand error. Finally, in early 2018, they achieved their goal: 
thesuccessful development of “hand-torn steel”, measuring 640 millimeters in 
width and amere 0.02 millimeters in thickness. 

As mentionedearlier, “hand-torn steel foils” have become indispensable in 
various high-techmanufacturing industries. Theiroutstanding resistance to 
corrosion makes them ideal for producing lithiumbatteries. Additionally, the 
exceptional resistance to heat qualifies them asexcellent materials for aero 
engine blade. Moreover, while“hand-torn steel” can be easily torn by hand, it 
exhibits remarkable resistanceto folding, enduring continuous folding up to 
200,000 times. This uniquecharacteristic makes it suitable for diverse 
applications that demand greatflexibility, such as foldable screens.

 “Hand-torn steel” commands a premium price due to its substantial addedvalue. 
However, the landscape has since been transformed. In 2022, Chinaachieved an 
annual production output of 25,000 tons of “hand-torn steel foil,”generating 
profits exceeding 26.5 million yuan or 3.7 million US dollars. 

The availability ofultra-thin “hand-torn steel foils” has not only lowered the 
cost of thesehigh-tech materials for manufacturers in China and globally but 
has alsostimulated further research in the field to develop even thinner steel 
foils.

The successfuldevelopment of "hand-torn steel foil" exemplifies China's 
remarkablecommitment to fostering technological innovation. In 2022, China 
allocated asubstantial 3.1 trillion yuan (430 billion US dollars) towards 
research anddevelopment (R&D), equivalent to 2.55% of the country's GDP 
solidifyingChina's position as the second-largest spender on R&D globally.

 

While acknowledgingsubstantial gaps between China and more advanced levels in 
many fields aroundthe world, it is important to recognize that it is these gaps 
that have spurredChina to push boundaries, bridge divides, and strive for

My note- As I understand, plastic bags/ containersof thickness below the 
standard 100 microns only are barred. So bagsabove the thickness is reusable 
and permitted. 

Our daily milkcomes in plastic pouches of above 100 microns. Many companies 
pack oils inpouches above 100 microns. Detergent liquids now comes in pouches 
above 200microns. 

So I think carrybags above 100 microns are permitted.
