Q1 Whatare the types of water purifiers? Do you think a 7 liter water
purifier is goodenough for a family of 5?
A1 Bhagat Jacky, Lives in Japan(2019–present)3y
These are the maintypes of water purifier that are used to purify water.
Whichwater purifier to use will depend on the impurities that are in the raw
water. Water purifier canremove salts from water.
Activated carbonfilter
Sediment cartridgefilter
Gravity based waterfilter
Adsorbent Mediabased water purifier
UV water filter
Membrane waterfilteration
UF membrane waterfilter
NanofilterationMembrane water filteration
Activated carbon filter.
Activated carbon inwater purifiers removes many dangerous organic chemicals
like pesticides whichmay be present in the water. Activated carbon in water
purifiers also removeschemical in water which causes to taste bad.
Activated carbonused in water purifier are mostly made coconut shell charcoal
which has beenactivated using steam.
Sediment filter water purifier
Sediment cartridgefilter are usually the first in series of different filters
used in the moresophisticated water purifiers. The primary job of the sediment
filters is toremove the larger solid particles like mud, dirt and other such
solid particlesin water.
Adsorbent media based water filter
The adsorbentfilter other than Activated carbon are very rarely used. One
famous adsorbentbased water purifier is the Whirlpool defender. The whirlpool
defender purifieris very effective for tap water purification.
Gravity based water purifiers
Gravity based waterpurifier are a combination water purifier using multiple
filteration process.Gravity based water purifiers are cheap and used by many in
India. The mainadvantage of gravity based water purifier are that they are
cheap and work without electricity.
Gravity basedpurifier as the name implies, depends on gravitational forces to
make the waterflow through the several filter cartridge elements .
Of course, yes a 7liter water purifier is good enough for a .family of 5.
My note- I think 12 litre water purifier tank is better.Cost difference is very
less
Q2 Whichis the best water purifier without RO technology?
A2 Anurag Pathak, Content Writer atBlogging Pixel (2016–present)Mar 7
See, RO Technology is required when you use water directlyfrom the water source.
For instance, ifyou are using bore-well, tanker and river water directly.
Due to the heavyindustrialization, the water bodies are heavily polluted by
industrial wastesuch as arsenic, lead and fluoride.
The only RO technology can remove it.
On the other hand,The water purifier without RO are meantfor Municipal water.
The Municipal wateris perfectly purified in Advanced water treatment plant of
Jal Board.
Thus such water isnot needed to be purifity further by RO at home.
What you need aNon-RO water purifier that can remove dust, pathogens and
suspended particlesmixed into it while travelling in water pipe lines.
There are following types of Water purifeir without ROavailable in the market.
UF + UV water purifier
NF + UV water purifier
Gravity Based Water purifier
You can usefollowing crieteria to select a water purifier without RO for your
home.
NF + UV waterpurifier - TDS between 250 - 500 PPM
UF + UV waterpurifier - TDS 150 - 300 PPM
Gravity Based WaterPurifier - TDS below 150 PPM
Q3 Whatare the disadvantages of not having a kitchen sink?
A3 Pooja Goswami, Project Manager(2018–present)Mar 27
You can’timagine a kitchen without a sink as it tends to mess up your kitchen
space.
Disadvantages of not having a kitchen sink:
There is no spacefor keeping dirty dishes.
Sometimes washingdishes and cooking go alongside which can’t be possible when
there is no sinkin your kitchen.
The sink is helpfulin washing vegetables and fruits while cooking which is not
possible without asink. The sink is the main part of a kitchen that keeps
yourkitchen area neat and clean.
So for me, Kitchenis not a kitchen if there is no Sink installed in it.
Brands that sellthe best Kitchen Sink:

Not having a kitchen sink can be a major inconvenience inthe daily life of any
household. Without a sink, itcan be difficult to clean dishes and food, as well
as perform basic tasks suchas washing hands or rinsing fruits and vegetables.
Additionally, not having a kitchen sink may lead to an increase in the spread of
bacteria, asproper handwashing is essential for maintaining good hygiene.
Finally, without a sink, it can be harder to keep the kitchen clean and
organized, leading to an overall decrease in efficiency and productivity when
preparingmeals.
Q4 Firstclass air travellers, have you or anybody you know taken a
shower on anairliner that offers the service? How was it?
A4 Erika Fernandez, Experience in Aviation Field6h
I did not get achance yet but I’m happy to share with you some of my friend’s
experiences infirst-class who have taken a shower on an airliner that offers
the service. Taking a shower on an airlineris a rare and luxurious privilege
that only a few airlines and aircraft provide. It can be a refreshing and
relaxing way to enjoy yourflight and arrive at your destination feeling fresh
and clean.
Here are some of the common features and impressions of theservice that I heard:
The shower suitesare located on the upper deck in front of the first-class
cabin, and theyinclude a toilet, sink, and ample space to change clothes. The
shower service is exclusive tofirst-class passengers, and it requires a
reservation in advance. Each passenger can book one shower session per flight,
which typically lastsfor 20-30 minutes. However, the actual running water time
is limited to 5minutes, which can be paused and resumed by pressing a button.
The shower attendant will alsoremind the passenger when they have one minute of
water left.
The shower serviceis designed to be comfortable and enjoyable, with various
amenities andfeatures. The showersuites have heated floors, adjustable
temperature and pressure, rainfallshowerheads, and hand-held showerheads. The
passengers can alsochoose from a range of toiletries, towels, bathrobes,
slippers, and hairdryers. The shower suites also have mood lighting, music, and
aromatherapyoptions to create a soothing atmosphere.
Also, the showerservice is also safe and hygienic, with strict protocols and
standards. The shower suites are cleaned and sanitized after each use by the
showerattendant, who wears gloves and a mask. The water tanks are also
regularlychecked and refilled by the ground staff. The water quality is also
monitoredand filtered to ensure it meets the highest standards.
Overall, most of my friends who have taken a shower on anairliner have reported
positive and memorable experiences. They have praised the service as being
luxurious, refreshing, relaxing, fun,and worth trying at least once in a
lifetime. Some of them have even said thattaking a shower on an airliner was
one of the highlights of their trip.
Q5 Dopilots have the authority to fly faster if their plane departed
late to make upthe lost time?
A5 Vishnu Ravi,Aerospace Engineer |Aviation Enthusiast & Content
Creator Jun 21
In the realm oftime management for pilots, there exists a delicate balance
between making up for lost time andadhering to various constraints. While
pilots possess the ability toenhance their speed, they must also abide by air
traffic regulations, speedlimits, and predetermined flight routes. When
confronted with delays, pilots can minimize groundtime by tactfully reducing
taxiing duration.
Additionally, theyhave the flexibility to adjust their altitude in pursuit of
calmer weatherconditions, potentially mitigating the impact of headwinds.
Nonetheless, it iscrucial to acknowledge that external elements, such as wind
speed anddirection, significantly influence flight duration. Should a
delaysurpass the 50-minute mark, the scope of time that can be recuperated
whileairborne becomes inherently limited.
Consequently, pilots lack the jurisdiction to exceed the established limits
imposed by airtraffic regulations, speed limits, and predefined routes, even if
theirdeparture was delayed, in order to regain the time lost.
My note- A few years back my indigo fight wasdelayed by 20 minutes from
Bangalore to come to Chennai. But the pilot announcedhe would make up and reach
in time. Normal flighttime is 45 minutes.
But the pilot landed in Chennai, 5 minutes before scheduledarrival. Only thing
I could note was landing wasfrom a different direction. Probably he would have
permission to take adifferent route. The speed was little high.
