Q1         Isdrinking water right before sleeping good or bad?

A1          Health Director | Loving Father | Business Director UpdatedJul 27

Drinking water right before going to sleep can be both good and baddepending on
the amount of water consumed.

Drinking a small amount of waterbefore bed can help keep you hydrated and
ensure that your body has enoughfluids to function properly throughout the
night. However, drinking too much water before bed can cause you to wake up
during the nightdue to the need to urinate, and can also lead to other health
issues.

To start, drinking a small amountof water before bed can be beneficial as long
as it does not cause you to feeluncomfortable or bloated. Staying hydrated is
important foroverall health, and drinking water before bed can help replenish
any fluidslost during the day. It can also help you feel more refreshed
andenergized when you wake up in the morning. Drinking water before bed mayalso
help the body maintain a steady temperature throughout the night and canhelp
reduce cases of night sweats.

On the other hand, drinking too much water right before bed can cause you to
wake upmore often during the night as your body needs to urinate more
frequently. Thiscan lead to a decrease in the quality of your sleep, as it
takes yourbody a few minutes to fall back asleep after waking to use the
restroom. Additionally, drinking too much water before bed can lead to a
conditioncalled hyponatremia, a condition caused by an electrolyte imbalance in
the bodydue to an over-consumption of water. Symptoms of hyponatremia include
nausea, confusion, musclecramps, fatigue, and headaches.

In conclusion, drinking water before bedis generally beneficial as long as it
is consumed in moderation. Drinking small amounts of watercan help you stay
hydrated and get a better night's sleep. However, drinkingtoo much water before
bed can cause you to wake up during the night and canlead to other health
issues such as hyponatremia. It is best to listen to yourbody and avoid
drinking large amounts of water before bed.

My note- Diabetics may urinate more and it is best to have waterbottle by the
side of cot, for diabetics. They may require water at any time.

For hiccups or sudden thirst, in general it is most required to keepwater
bottle by the side by all.

Neera Arya was a lesser-known freedom fighter who madesignificant contributions
to the Indian freedom struggle. She was born on March5, 1902, in Khekra Nagar,
Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Despite being sent to Kolkatafor education by her
businessman father, Neera developed a deep sense of patriotism as she grewolder.

Passionate about the cause ofnational freedom, Neeradecided to join the Rani
Jhansi Regiment of the Azad Hind Fauj, established byNetaji Subhash Chandra
Bose. She actively participated in the freedommovement and fought for India's
independence as part of the Azad Hind Fauj.

However, her life took a different turnwhen she married Srikant Jai Ranjan Das,
a British Army Officer and CIDInspector. Their conflicting ideologies emerged
after marriage, withSrikant repeatedly pressuring Neera to reveal Netaji's
location and plans.Despite the tension, Neera remained loyal to the Azad Hind
Fauj and neverdivulged any information.

One fateful day, Srikant attempted to kill Netaji when he followed Neerato a

Consequently, Neera was chargedwith killing a British CID officer and sentenced

Throughout her time in prison,Neera faced intense torture by the British
authorities who sought to extractinformation about Netaji's whereabouts. They
subjected her to daily torment, culminating in a brutal act where they used a
sharp cutting tool to harm herbreasts in an attempt to force her compliance.
Despite the pain and threats of further mutilation, Neeranever disclosed
Netaji's location.

After India gained independence, Neerawas released from prison, but she faced a
lack of respect and acceptance insociety. She lived in a small roadside hut,
which was laterdestroyed by some individuals, leaving her homeless and
destitute.

On July 26, 1998, Neera passed away, unrecognized and unsung, despite her
immense sacrifices for Indianindependence.

Neera Arya's story is a stark reminder of the countless unsung heroeswho played
significant roles in the freedom struggle but haveremained unnoticed by
