Respected Mr Rajaram,
I had stopped writing replies to your responses on the request of a very learnt
member.
Regarding question answer 3, did I mention any thing about you?

Why you respond- "Will the author after reading it change? As it might apply to
him G "
First of all I am compiler and not author. Understand the difference between
the two words.

What is meant by it might apply to him G?  This sentence is wrong. to you G
must be the correct construction.
While I did not mention  any thing about you, your response is  indirectly
starting an argument.
The question was Q3         Can you tell a few Signs of extremelylow
intelligence?
Your response means I am a person of low intelligence.

Committing the above two mistakes even in the response it is evident you are a
person of lower intelligence than me. Stop making idiotic statements.
Everybody in the group knows you are argumentative, never admit when you are
proved wrong-  one of the signs told in the answer of a person with low
intellegence.

Please stop with this or again start arguments. You are a person not able to
think and write  two sentences correctly.

Q1     There is a proverb: Only one who has good thick hair can have the
hairdressings; today they substitute hair artificially also; but by both

not strong enough to draw the protein. So they do not and not because they have
become aveg and a Rishi. Male mosquitoes feed only on plant juices, such as
nectar, to get the sugar they need for energy and survival. As males do not
bite, they cannot transmit diseases. Female mosquitoes, on the other hand, need
protein from blood for the development of their eggs.Proboscis: In female
mosquitoes, this mouth part pierces the skin of a person or animal and sucks
out blood. The male's proboscis is not strong enough to pierce the skin, and
males do not feed on blood. Both female and male mosquitoes use the proboscis
to feed on flower nectar and fruit juices.ii     Again it is science; the baby
sees the world slowly as tools are grown. Why only Red first is the point:
Wavelengths below 400 are too short for human eyes to see. A typical human eye
responds to wavelengths between 390 nm and 700 nm. An infant can't focus
farther than 8-12 inches away. Since red has the longest wavelength, the colour
doesn't scatter easily and can even be seen or detected from a long
distance.iii       1. It’s estimated that there are 300 million color blind
people in the world!
2. Color blindness is more common than you might think! 1 in 12 men is color
blind while only 1 in 200 women have the condition. This means that 95% of the
color blind community are men. 98% of those with color blindness have red-green
color blindness.

3. Red-green color blindness is passed down through the mother on the
X-chromosome. However, there are different ways the “color blindness gene” can
show up! Learn more about how color blindness is passed down.

4. Red-green color blindness is the common name for the two most common types
called Deutan and Protan. It is given this name since red and green are the two
colors that are typically most difficult to distinguish by color blind
individuals with either of these conditions. Learn more about the types of
color blindness.

5. Red-green color blindness is caused by a defect in a person’s
light-sensitive cone cells. The green-sensing M cone and the red-sensing L
cone’s sensitivities overlap more than they would in a normally-sighted
person’s eyes, which creates color confusion across the spectrum.

6. Babies are born color blind! As they grow, their color vision improves and
is typically fully developed by the age of 6 months.

7. It’s possible to be color blind in one eye and have normal color vision in
the other. This is called unilateral dichromacy and it’s very rare.¹

8. John Dalton, a scientist, wrote the first paper on color blindness in 1794.
He believed his own color blindness was caused by a discoloration in his
aqueous humor - learn more about John Dalton.

9. On the atoll of Pingelap in the Pacific Ocean, 4.9% of the population has
achromatopsia or complete color blindness. In the US, only .0003% of the
population has the same condition.²

10. People who are red-green color blind are often surprised to find out that
peanut butter is NOT green!

11. The mantis shrimp has 12 types of cone cells, 4 times as many as humans!
Scientists aren’t sure why they have such a complex visual system yet, but it
is known that the animal can see infrared and ultraviolet light. Learn more
about marine animals’ color vision in our blog.

12. Contrary to popular belief, dogs don’t actually see in black and white.
They are dichromats, which means they have two types of cone cells, and see in
mostly blue and yellow. Their vision is somewhat similar to a color blind
human’s color vision. Learn more about our furry friends’ color vision.

13. Peacocks are known for their colorful plume of feathers that are dazzling
to humans. However, what’s most important to peacocks is the number of
eye-shaped marks on the ends of the feathers. Peacocks see these ‘eyes’ in
ultraviolet light, so the more eyes a male peacock has, the more attractive it
is as a mate.

14. EnChroma is the #1 online color vision test used by more than 1 million
people worldwide. It is the first test of its kind, designed to identify
different types and severity of color blindness. A properly administered color
blindness test requires that one not wear filtered lenses or glasses, including
EnChroma color blind glasses. Take the color vision test..

15. The Ishihara color blind test was invented by Dr. Shinobu Ishihara in 1916
while he held a military position in the Japanese Army. The test was originally
developed exclusively for use by the Japanese Army, but became more widespread
in 1917.
Color blindness can cause some unique problems in a color blind person’s life
that occur in everyday situations that non-color blind people might take for
granted. Here’s a list of just some of the issues it can cause:

16. In Romania, people who are color blind are not allowed to obtain a driver’s
license.

17. In some countries, there are barriers to entry in certain professionals for
people who are color blind. In England, color blindness may prevent you from
becoming a doctor; in the US one cannot get a pilot’s license; and in many
parts of the world, it’s difficult to become an electrician.³

18. Because color blind people have a hard time distinguishing between green
and yellow, they often have a hard time knowing when a banana is ripe. Many are
accustomed to the bitter taste of an unripe banana!

19. People who are color blind often have trouble cooking meat to the proper
temperature. Much of the process relies on monitoring the meat’s color and they
cannot distinguish between the shades of cooked and uncooked meat.

20. To the normally sighted person, a rainbow features all the colors of the
rainbow. For many color blind people, however, a rainbow only appears to have 2
or 3 colors: blue and yellow.

21. To a color blind person, the green light on a stoplight may appear white or
even blue, while the red and yellow lights may look similar to each other.

22. Many color blind people struggle to match their black and blue socks and
can find themselves a little mismatched from time to time. Read more about what
color blind people see.

23. Another interesting fact about color blindness is that some of your
favorite celebrities may be color blind! There are many public figures with
color blindness, here’s a list of a few:

   - Robert Redford - American actor
   - Sting - British musician
   - George Clinton - American musician
   - Jack Nicklaus - American professional golfer

VI Whatever your age, your body is many years younger. In fact, even if
you'remiddle aged, most of you may be just 10 years old or less.
This heartening truth, which arises from the fact thatmost of the body's
tissues are under constant renewal, has been underlined by anovel method of
estimating the age of human cells. Its inventor, Jonas Frisen, believes the
average age of all the cells in an adult's body may turn out to beas young as 7
to 10 years.

But Dr. Frisen, a stem cell biologist at the KarolinskaInstitute in Stockholm,
has also discovered a fact that explains why peoplebehave their birth age, not
the physical age of their cells: a few of thebody's cell types endure from
birth to death without renewal, and this specialminority includes some or all
of the cells of the cerebral cortex.

It was a dispute over whether the cortex ever makes anynew cells that got Dr.
Frisen looking for a new way of figuring out how oldhuman cells really are.
Existing techniques depend on tagging DNA withchemicals but are far from
perfect. Wondering if some natural tag might alreadybe in place, Dr. Frisen
recalled that the nuclear weapons tested above grounduntil 1963 had injected a
pulse of radioactive carbon-14 into the atmosphere.

Breathed in by plants worldwide and eaten by animals andpeople, the carbon-14
gets incorporated into the DNA of cells each time thecell divides and the DNA
is duplicated.

Most molecules in a cell are constantly being replaced butthe DNA is not. All
the carbon-14 in a cell's DNA is acquired on the cell'sbirth date, the day its
parent cell divided. Hence the extent of carbon-14enrichment could be used to
figure out the cell's age, Dr. Frisen surmised. Inpractice, the method has to
be performed on tissues, not individual cells, because not enough carbon-14 gets
into any single cell to signal its age. Dr.Frisen then worked out a scale for
converting carbon-14 enrichment intocalendar dates by measuring the carbon-14
incorporated into individual treerings in Swedish pine trees.

Having validated the method with various tests, he and hiscolleagues have
reported in the July 15 issue of Cell the results of theirfirst tests with a
few body tissues. Cells from the muscles of the ribs, takenfrom people in their
late 30's, have an average age of 15.1 years, they say.

The epithelial cells that line the surface of the gut havea rough life and are
known by other methods to last only five days. Ignoringthese surface cells, the
average age of those in the main body of the gut is15.9 years, Dr. Frisen found.

The Karolinska team then turned to the brain, the renewalof whose cells has
been a matter of much contention. Prevailing belief, by andlarge, is that the
brain does not generate new neurons after its structure iscomplete, except in
two specific regions, the olfactory bulb that mediates thesense of smell, and
the hippocampus where initial memories of faces and placesare laid down.

This consensus view was challenged a few years ago byElizabeth Gould of
Princeton, who reported finding new neurons in the cerebralcortex, along with
the elegant idea that each day's memories might be recordedin the neurons
generated that day.

Dr. Frisen's method will enable all regions of the brainto be dated to see if
any new neurons are generated. So far he has tested onlycells from the visual
cortex. He finds these are exactly the same age as theindividual, showing that
new neurons are not generated after birth in thisregion of the cerebral cortex,
or at least not in significant numbers. Cells ofthe cerebellum are slightly
younger than those of the cortex, which fits withthe idea that the cerebellum
continues developing after birth.

Another contentious issue is whether the heart generatesnew muscle cells after
birth. The conventional view that it does not hasrecently been challenged by
Dr. Piero Anversa of the New York Medical Collegein Valhalla. Dr. Frisen has
found the heart as a whole is generating new cellsbut he has not yet measured
the turnover rate of the heart's muscle cells.

Although people may think of their body as a fairlypermanent structure, most of
it is in a state of constant flux as old cells arediscarded and new ones
generated in their place. Each kind of tissue has itsown turnover time,
depending in part on the workload endured by its cells. Thecells lining the
stomach, as mentioned, last only five days. The red bloodcells, bruised and
battered after traveling nearly 1,000 miles through the mazeof the body's
circulatory system, last only 120 days or so on average beforebeing dispatched
to their graveyard in the spleen.

The epidermis, or surface layer of the skin, is recycledevery two weeks or so.
The reason for the quick replacement is that "Thisis the body's saran wrap, and
it can be easily damaged by scratching, solvents, wear and tear," says Elaine
Fuchs, an expert on the skin's stem cells atRockefeller University.

Q1         What are some mind blowing facts thatmost people don't know?

A1          Factsky Answered by Krishna Kamat, May 26

Only femalemosquitoes bite humans and animals. Males are vegetarians.

The first primary color your baby can see is red.

Color blind people have better night vision.

Amazon, originally a printed book seller company, nowsells more e-books than
printed books.

Polar bears have an excellent sense of smell and candetect seals nearly a mile
away (1.6 km).

Beaked whales can hold their breath for over twohours.

Every atom in your body is billions of years old.

There are more historic artefacts under the sea thanin all of the world's
museums.

Q2         Why did the Navy ban facial hair?

A2         JaiNarayan,14h

We often associate facial hair with sailors:

For quite along time, they did have facial hair. But in the military sense,
facial hair wasn’t practical. The U.S. Navy disallowedfacial hair in 1984. The
primary reason was they couldn’t wear breathing masksfor both scuba diving and
protection from poisonous gas.The hairgets in the way. Also, it looks a lot
more professional when soldiers have aclean-cut look.

There areexceptions. While in Afghanistan, many of the SEALs grew out some
pretty thick Gandalf beards.Butupon return, they were required to shave them
back off.

Q3         Can you tell a few Signs of extremelylow intelligence

A3         Humanmind readers, Answered by Elia Juniana, Jun 17

They never change their minds, even after being provenwrong;

Inability to take on board new information and changeyour position on certain
issues.

Never having the ability to admitthat they're wrong, orthat they don't know
something, or that they've made a mistake, no matter howobvious.

Having your hand bigger than your face.

People unable to think independently and unable tosolve small problems on their
own.

Parroting the talking points without being able todiscuss them even in their
most basic terms. This indicates that they have no knowledge and nocuriosity
about the world.

It is difficult to win a debate with a smart personand impossible with a dumb
one (It is extremely common for people to hold on toideas even after being
presented with evidence that they are wrong.)

Having strong opinions about topics you don't understand.

My note- I have highlighted 4points  which I felt prominent. I do notmean  any

Q4         What has Lord Shri Krishna said toArjuna in the Bhagwat Gita about
happiness and sorrow?

A4         Sanatanfacts,Answered by Surendra Kumar Kumawat, Apr 29

Happiness is astate of mind and has nothing to do with material possessions.

We see the multi-millionaire crying and feeling sadbecause he lost a bundle on
Wall Street playing stocks;

Also, we get to see a man who is enjoying living in aleaky hut, not even sure
where he will get his next meal.

Seems contradictory but true.

Truly, nothingin this world can make us happy, unless we are happy from within.

Lord Krishna alsosaid to his best friend Arjuna:

Arjuna, everything in life comes and goes. Pleasure andpain are temporary
experiences that arise from sense perception. Heat and cold, pleasure and pain
will come and go. They do not last forever.    (Bhagavad Gita) Chapter 2:14)

Q5         What should every Indian know butprobably does not?

A5         AnjanaE, Like to spread inspiring stories about real people3y

Odanthurai is a village panchayat located in theCoimbatore district of Tamil
Nadu, India.

For more than a decade, this village has been a modelvillage for the entire
country.

Why?

With the help of government development and welfareprograms, they managed to
achieve the following.

In 2006, thevillage panchayat took a bank loan of Rs. 1.15 crore and set up a
windmill that produceselectricity without causing air pollution. This wind farm
generates 8 lakhunits of electricity annually, but the village needs only 4.5
lakhs. So, itsells the additional units to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board
(TNEB) and earnsan annual income of Rs. 23 lakhs. Within seven years, it repaid
the bank loantoo. This is the first big project that was undertaken by a local
body in India

A biomassgasifier plant was installed to reduceelectricity charges. For
example, the gas produced from this plant helped toreduce the charges from
Rs.84,000 to Rs.30,000

Constructed 775 houses and became a ‘hut free’Panchayat

Laid bore well, overhead tanks and installed waterpurification systems

Constructed a small bridge and concrete roads

Constructed aschool with many facilities like library and provisions for games

Installed 119solar street lights

Constructedrainwater harvesting structures

Behind all thisis an innovative man Rangaswamy Shanmugam, President of the
village panchayat (2001-2009). Many researchers, World Bank experts, IAS
officers and students visit the village to learn his strategy.

Every villagein India needs an honest and committedleader like Shanmugam.
