STRANGE BUT WEIRDEST FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW AND WILL SHOCK YOU. DO WE ALL
KNOW ? PERHAPS SOME!!!!

KR Weirdness will not shock anyone but may surprise and start one’s
creativity. Weirdness is not electricity.

1. Hot water will turn into ice faster than cold water.

KR It is not weird; it is nature Prakrithi aka Modern science.
Water becomes cold due to evaporation. Latent heat is extracted from the
water when liquid water molecules is changed into gases. When the water
body loses heat, the temperature drops, and the water becomes colder than
its initial temperature. The Mpemba effect is the name given to the
observation that a liquid (typically water) which is initially hot can
freeze faster than the same liquid which begins cold, under otherwise
similar conditions. There is disagreement about its theoretical basis and
the parameters required to produce the effect. The Mpemba effect is named
after Tanzanian scientist Erasto Bartholomeo Mpemba, who described it in
1963 as a secondary school student. The initial discovery and observations
of the effect originate in ancient times; Aristotle said that it was common
knowledge. The phenomenon, when taken to mean "hot water freezes faster
than cold", is difficult to reproduce or confirm because it is
ill-defined. Monwhea
Jeng proposed a more precise wording: "There exists a set of initial
parameters, and a pair of temperatures, such that given two bodies of water
identical in these parameters, and differing only in initial uniform
temperatures, the hot one will freeze sooner." Even with Jeng's definition,
it is not clear whether "freezing" refers to the point at which water forms
a visible surface layer of ice, the point at which the entire volume of
water becomes a solid block of ice, or when the water reaches 0 °C (32 °F;
273 K). Jeng's definition suggests simple ways in which the effect might be
observed, such as if a warmer temperature melts the frost on a cooling
surface, thereby increasing thermal conductivity between the cooling
surface and the water container. (KR: subjective and conditional)
Alternatively, the Mpemba effect may not be evident in situations and under
circumstances that at first seem to qualify. Francis Bacon noted that
"slightly tepid water freezes more easily than that which is utterly cold."
René Descartes wrote in his Discourse on the Method, relating the
phenomenon to his vortex theory: "One can see by experience that water that
has been kept on a fire for a long time freezes faster than other, the
reason being that those of its particles that are least able to stop
bending evaporate while the water is being heated.

The following explanations have also been proposed:
Microbubble-induced
heat transfer: The process of boiling induced microbubbles in water that
remain stably suspended as the water cools, then act by convection to
transfer heat more quickly as the water cools.

Evaporation: The evaporation of the warmer water reduces the mass of the
water to be frozen. Evaporation is endothermic, meaning that the water mass
is cooled by vapor carrying away the heat, but this alone probably does not
account for the entirety of the effect.

Convection, accelerating heat transfers: Reduction of water density below 4
°C (39 °F) tends to suppress the convection currents that cool the lower
part of the liquid mass; the lower density of hot water would reduce this
effect, perhaps sustaining the more rapid initial cooling. Higher
convection in the warmer water may also spread ice crystals around faster.

Frost: Frost has insulating effects. The lower temperature water will tend
to freeze from the top, reducing further heat loss by radiation and air
convection, while the warmer water will tend to freeze from the bottom and
sides because of water convection. This is disputed as there are
experiments that account for this factor.

Solutes: Calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and other mineral salts
dissolved in water can precipitate out when water is boiled, leading to an
increase in the freezing point compared to non-boiled water that contains
all the dissolved minerals.

Thermal conductivity: The container of hotter liquid may melt through a
layer of frost that is acting as an insulator under the container (frost is
an insulator, as mentioned above), allowing the container to come into
direct contact with a much colder lower layer that the frost formed on
(ice, refrigeration coils, etc.) The container now rests on a much colder
surface (or one better at removing heat, such as refrigeration coils) than
the originally colder water, and so cools far faster from this point on.

Conduction through the bottom is dominant, when the bottom of a hot beaker
has been wetted by melted ice, and then sticky frozen to it. In context of
Mpemba effect it is a mistake to think that bottom ice insulates, compared
to poor air-cooling properties.

Dissolved gases: Cold water can contain more dissolved gases than hot
water, which may somehow change the properties of the water with respect to
convection currents, a proposition that has some experimental support but
no theoretical explanation.

Hydrogen bonding: In warm water, hydrogen bonding is weaker.

Crystallization: Another explanation suggests that the relatively higher
population of water hexamer states in warm water might be responsible for
the faster crystallization.

Distribution function: Strong deviations from the Maxwell-Boltzmann
distribution results in potential Mpemba effect showing up in gases.

KR: So how in arctic water at 2 degrees will wait to become ice than
the hot water at 100 degrees (faster?)

2. The Mona Lisa has no eyebrows.

KR: If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then our eyebrows must be
the frame - tying together the décor of the face. But after years of Cara
Delevingne-inspired bushy brows dominating the beauty scene, the
lack-there-of is the hottest trend of 2022. So it is not at all weird. Much
like the hair on your head, eyebrows can thin or fall out for a variety of
reasons. Alopecia, chemotherapy, nutrient deficiencies and hormone
imbalances are all reasons why eyebrow loss can occur. There is nothing
wrong with having fair or no eyebrows. And so many celebrities, have no
eyebrows which can be seen in the net. So it is not weird that too to
shock.

4. The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

KR: There is no one answer for this question since there are
different ways to measure strength. There is absolute strength (maximum
force), dynamic strength (repeated motions), elastic strength (exert force
quickly), and strength endurance (withstand fatigue).

There are three types of muscles in the human body: cardiac,
smooth and skeletal.Cardiac muscle makes up the wall of the heart and is
responsible for the forceful contraction of the heart. Smooth muscles make
up the walls of the intestine, the uterus, blood vessels, and internal
muscles of the eye. Skeletal muscles are attached to the bones and in some
areas the skin (muscles in our face). Contraction of the skeletal muscles
helps limbs and other body parts move. Most sources state that there are
over 650 named skeletal muscles in the human body, although some figures go
up to as many as 840. The dissension comes from those that count the
muscles within a complex muscle. For example the biceps brachii is a
complex muscle that has two heads and two different origins however, they
insert on the radial tuberosity. Do you count this as one muscle or two?

Gluteus Maximus: The gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in
the human body. It is large and powerful because it has the job of keeping
the trunk of the body in an erect posture. It is the chief antigravity
muscle that aids in walking up stairs.

Heart The hardest working muscle is the heart. It pumps out 2
ounces (71 grams) of blood at every heartbeat. Daily the heart pumps at
least 2,500 gallons (9,450 liters) of blood. The heart has the ability to
beat over 3 billion times in a person’s life.

Masseter The strongest muscle based on its weight is the masseter.
With all muscles of the jaw working together it can close the teeth with a
force as great as 55 pounds (25 kilograms) on the incisors or 200 pounds
(90.7 kilograms) on the molars.

Muscles of the Uterus The uterus sits in the lower pelvic region.
Its muscles are deemed strong because they contract to push a baby through
the birth canal. The pituitary gland secretes the hormone oxytocin, which
stimulates the contractions.

Soleus The muscle that can pull with the greatest force is the
soleus. It is found below the gastrocnemius (calf muscle). The soleus is
very important for walking, running, and dancing. It is considered a very
powerful muscle along with calf muscles because it pulls against the force
of gravity to keep the body upright.

Tongue The tongue is a tough worker. It is made up of groups
of muscles and like the heart it is always working. It helps in the mixing
process of foods. It binds and contorts itself to form letters. The tongue
contains inguinal tonsils that filter out germs. Even when a person sleeps,
the tongue is constantly pushing saliva down the throat.

KR So tongue is also and it is not weird to be shocked.

5. Ants never sleep!

KR Neither weird nor right. They sure do. And just like us, the amount
of sleep they need varies. Queen fire ants fall into relatively long, deep
sleeps and kip for an average of nine hours every day. The busy worker
ants, on the other hand, get their rest by taking hundreds of short power
naps.

6. “I Am” is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.

KR: Stop! This is a one-word complete sentence. The subject is
assumed to be you, and the verb is stop. No object is necessary for this
sentence, and the thought is complete.

8. The most common name in the world is Mohammed.

KR: According to google, the most common name in the world is Wang,
meaning king, and is the name of an estimated 92.8 million people on
China's mainland. The second most common first name is Maria, a Latin name
that translates to Mary in English, and could have originated from the
Egyptian word Meriam meaning beloved. Maria among woman.

9. When the moon is directly overhead, you will weigh slightly less.

KR: The moon's gravitational force is only about 16.6 % of Earth's
gravity which means a person would weigh six times less on the moon than
they do on Earth. A 45-kilogram person would weigh 100 lbs. on Earth but
only 16.6 lbs. on the moon. No, a person's weight on Earth does not change
based on the position of the Moon. The Moon's gravity does have an effect
on the tides, but it does not have a significant enough effect on a
person's weight to be noticeable. The gravitational force exerted on a
person's body by the Moon is about 1/100th of the gravitational force
exerted by the Earth.

11. There are only two words in the English language that have all five
vowels in order: “abstemious” and “facetious.”

KR: Eunoia, at six letters long, is the shortest word in the English
language that contains all five main vowels. Seven letter words with this
property include adoulie, douleia, eucosia, eulogia, eunomia, eutopia,
miaoued, moineau, sequoia, and suoidea.

15. Minus 40 degrees Celsius is exactly the same as minus 40 degrees
Fahrenheit.

KR It is science and Maths but not weird. (-40°C × 9/5) + 32 =
-40°F.

21. People say "Bless you" when you sneeze because when you sneeze, your
heart stops for a millisecond.

KR: It is science. A sneeze is a sudden burst of air expelled from
the lungs through the nose and mouth. It's the result of the inflammation
of the trigeminal nerve in the nose. This nerve is linked to the “sneeze
center” of the brainstem and sends signals that prompt a person to sneeze.

"Sneezes start in your nerves," says Neil Kao, MD, an allergy and
asthma specialist at the Allergic Disease and Asthma Center in Greenville,
S.C.

"Sneezing is an important part of the immune process, helping to
keep us healthy and sniffle-free" Kao says.

Sneezes are speedy. "Sneezes travel at about 100 miles per hour,"
says Patti Wood, author of Success Signals: Understanding Body Language.
She adds that a single sneeze can send 100,000 germs into the air.

Plucking your eyebrows may make you sneeze. Plucking may set off a
nerve in your face that supplies your nasal passages. As a result, you
sneeze.

When you sleep, so do your sneezing nerves -- which means you usually
don't sneeze when you doze.

Sunshine may make you sneeze. "Bright sunlight causes one out of
three people to sneeze," Wood says. "The light sneezers are called
'photics,' from the Greek meaning ‘of light.' And in fact, light
sensitivity is an inherited trait -- just one more thing we can blame on
our parents."

Sex can be a sneezing trigger. Have sex, must sneeze? It happens
more often than you might think. Researchers believe that the stimulation
of the parasympathetic nervous system fires off signals in some people to
not only enjoy the act of sex, but to sneeze when it's over.

Strange sneezing facts aside, there are some beliefs about sneezing
that just aren't true. *For instance, it's not true that your heart stops*
when you sneeze. When your chest contracts because of a sneeze, your blood
flow is momentarily constricted as well. As a result, the rhythm of your
heart may change, but it definitely doesn't stop.

24. “Rhythm” is the longest English word without a vowel.

KR Not including plurals, there is *only one seven-letter word*
which has none of the five vowels. That word is *nymphly*, which is a rare
variation of *'nymphlike'*. However, two six-letter words, glycyl and
rhythm, can have an 's' added in the plural to make a seven-letter word
without a vowel.

27. It is impossible to lick your elbow.

KR Can be done by practice though initially tough and not so easy.

28. 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

KR It is not weird but mathematical-science.

30. What do bullet proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers and laser
printers all have in common?

KR Is this weird?

Ans. - All invented by women.

31.Question - This is the only food that doesn't spoil. What is this?

KR: So many are there. Salt: Salt is obtained from the land and
contains sodium chloride mineral, which is a natural preservative.

Honey can last forever *if stored properly*.

Ghee: Homemade ghee made with clarified butter without any adulterated
content can last for a year. If opened, it can be stored in a refrigerator
and it will last for the same time.

Liquor: You probably already know this: When it comes to liquor, older is
better. Liquor, except wine, can last forever. It may lose some aroma but
it will mature to become a better drink.

Nature and science have provided us with a range of food items that can be
stored for a long time without being spoiled. Proper storage is key to
enjoying these long-lasting foods

32. A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out.

KR: A short frenulum can restrict your tongue's movement.
Ankyloglossia is most common in newborns and young children, but adults can
have it too. It's associated with breastfeeding (chest feeding)
difficulties and speech problems. Tongue-tie is a congenital condition,
which means people are born with it. Crocodiles’ tongues are not free, but
held in place by a membrane that limits movement; as a result, crocodiles
are unable to stick out their tongues. Crocodiles have smooth skin on their
bellies and sides, while their dorsal surfaces are armoured with large
osteoderms. So it is science where even human beings may not be able to
project the tongue.

48. Like fingerprints, everyone's tongue print is different.

KR: It is not correct exactly as tongue in forensic is yet to develop
and even today it is not as neat as finger print. Tongue prints are useful
in biometric authentication. The methodology used in the study is simple,
easy and can be adopted by dentists on a regular basis. *However,
large-scale studies are required to validate the results and also identify
other features of the tongue that can be used in forensics and biometric
authentication process. *In India, this system of identification is still
in the grassroot level and needs more quantum of research and planning to
implement the same. Creation of a database is pivotal for identification,
but there is no national database available currently in India.
Furthermore, there is no scanning device yet been created for capturing the
tongue print. Visual inspection and digital photography have been the
time-tested methods that have been adopted so far. Lingual impression is
the impression of the dorsal surface of the tongue along with the lateral
borders. This will be useful in determining the shape and the surface
characteristics of the tongue and can serve as a permanent record through
the cast. Identity fraud is a serious threat to society. Innovative and
efficient identification systems are an urgent need to combat this social
issue. Identification of human beings based on characteristic physiological
parameters is the central dogma of biometric authentication and information
security. Verification and authentication are two main functions of any
biometric tool. Tongue print is a unique biometric tool which cannot be
forged easily. Advantages of tongue prints over other biometric systems are
genetic independence (no two tongue are similar), physical protection (well
encased in the oral cavity) and its stability over time.] Research on
tongue prints is at a preliminary stage. A study by Diwakar and Maharshi
reported tongue as a reliable member of biometrics family. Application of
tongue biometrics system in public-use system such as banking system has
been proved by Naaz et al. in 2011. A recent study has validated the use of
tongue prints in forensic identification. The study also proposed the use
of alginate impression in obtaining lingual impression as an efficient
technique. Implications of tongue prints and its use as a forensic tool
remain unexplored in the field of dentistry. To the best of our knowledge,
the present study is a novel attempt and first of its kind.
