Q1     What would you like to remind everyone?

A1     Blue, I am warm like a cup of tea. Fri

My friend just gavebirth to a baby yesterday. Today, she sent me a photo of the
baby. Icongratulated her and asked if she was okay to take a video call? She
said yes,then I called her.

When I saw her onthe call, the first question I asked her was, “Are you still
in pain much? Have you been able to eatanything yet? You can walk to the
bathroom yourself or need help?”

And just like that, she cried. “You’re the firstone to ask me if I’m doing ok.
Everyone else just asks if the baby is ok and ifI have breastmilk to feed the
baby yet”

And that is something I’d love to remind everyone. The moment when a baby is
born, the mother is also born. Those firststeps after giving birth; those first
nights; those first months will bedifficult. Support her.

Q2     Do other animals besides humans have a"teenage" life stage?

A2     K. Fletcher,Master's Degree in Psychology,Harvard University (Graduated
2011)11h

Yes.

One that immediatelycomes to mind is the male lion because it actually has a
markedly unique stageof life at this time: nomadic

All animals technically go through a sub adult stage, but few have a visibly
different way of life while in it than maleLions. Male lions are evicted out of
their pride in their teenage years to liveon their own as nomads. It's
ultimately when nature decides whether they'restrong enough to pass on their
genes. This is when most males will inevitablydie.

They aren'texperienced hunters, don't have a territory of their own, & aren't
welcomeANYWHERE by any other lions. But if they manage to lay low, scavenge
kills, andget bigger they will one day be able to use their combined strength
to take overa pride of their own. But, that's usually a year or so off.
(Depending on howearly they were evicted & why; some stay far longer than
others)

You can typically tell a nomadic or sub adult lion by itsmohawk mane, smaller
bodies, pink nose and lack of other pride mates aroundthem. (Although they may
technically still be with their prideand be a subadult, not yet to become a
nomad.)

My mother told me this story when I was kid.

One night, theEmperor Akbar had a strange dream. He woke up worried next
morning. For he had dreamed that he had lost all except one of his teeth.

Akbar summoned theastrologer and told him about his dream.

" What can mydream mean? Tell me at once" he demanded.

The astrologerlooked grave when he heard all the details.

"O Emperor! I amsorry to tell you that your dream means that all your relatives
will die beforeyou", he said.

Akbar did not likethe astrologer's remark. So he did not reward him.

And then the Birbalcame to court later that morning. Akbar narrated his dream
and astrologer’sremark.

" Can you tellme what my dream means , Birbal?" Akbar asked.

Birbal thought for a while.

And then he replied "O Badshah! Your dream tells methat you will live longer
than your relatives!'

My note- Withouttelling Birbal was reward

Q5     Why do some intelligent people fail toachieve their potential?

A5     Sean Kernan, Updated 5y

One of thesmartest, perhaps the smartest person on the planet, Kim Ung-Yong,
was doingcalculus and speaking five languages before age five.

By age eight hewas doing math at NASA and finished his Ph.D. prior to age
fifteen.

None of this was byhis own decision. Afterthe discovery of his genius, an I.Q.
of over 200, he was placed on anultra-fast track program for his life.

After accumulating amind numbing pile of academic accolades, he worked at NASA
for years until he abruptly quit.

Here you have the smartestguy in the world, someone whose intelligence dwarfs
most Harvard students’, andhe walks away from it all.

Why? He wasn’thappy. It was all too much intensity for him. He felt like a
machine and just wanted something normal.

He now works in a normal university faculty position as aprofessor. A
prestigious job for most people. But for him? Notso. Kim is still periodically
targeted by Korean newsoutlets for being a “failed genius”. With all of his
gifts he was expected to change the worldand innovate within several science
fields.

It begs thequestion, who decided Kim was supposed to change the world? It
certainly wasn’thim.

Mr. Kim might not besomeone most of us can relate to. But he is analogous,
ground zero even, forthe problems intelligent people face with regards to
“potential.” Just because someone is smart, strong, creative, doesn’t mean they
want to be king of the world.

Some people are happy with a low key life. Happiness isthe great equalizer. If
they are happy, yourexpectations no longer matter.

Once "Raghuram Rajan" went for a guest lectureat IIT Delhi. He gave his lecture
to the enthusiastic youth. Allthe students were so much interested in his talk
and after his session, a boy asked him a question.

He asked, "Sir,you are an epitome of success especially for a student like me
and to my entirecollege, you are recognizednot only in India but you are a
worldwide known person for your work andthesis.

So my questionis Does it really matter to do studies from abroad, I mean Ivy
league Collegeshave elite professors and they have a lot to bring to the table,
and also thebrand value that makes a lot of difference, what are your thoughts?"

Raghuram Rajan smiled at him and said," Honestlyspeaking I did my graduation
from IIT Delhi and did my MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and did my Ph.D. from MIT. I
can't drawa difference among the professors they were all the same. But the
thing thatmatters and for who I am today is due to my peers.

You learn a lot from them because you are notwith your professors all the
time. You are with your peers doing works learningtogether making mistakes.
They have a lot to offer, you have a lot to offer. So the thing which matters
is the people around you.”Always surround yourself with people who motivate you
& bring thebest in you!
