CULTURAL QA 12202328A

Q1 What is the funniest joke you've been told that you still think
about to this day?

KR I cannot laugh to a rabbi GOD son joke as I don’t know the
impact of Jew and Bible. But I can laugh over a Malayali joke which I
remember always: TAKKOL IVVIDE UNDU.

Q2 What does 1.9 creatinine level indicate?

KR Creatinine is a chemical waste product of creatine. Creatine
is a chemical made by the body and is used to supply energy mainly to
muscles. This test is done to see how well your kidneys work. Creatinine is
removed from the body entirely by the kidneys.

A 1.8 is generally high for even a very muscular athlete. A 1.3
to 1.5 would not be for many patients. Serum creatinine over 2 are
generally reason for real concern. Also, simple dehydration can cause some
elevation. So, 1.9 is not to be feared because you might have forgotten to
drink water or walked in the hot sun without water. Creatinine is a
breakdown product of creatine phosphate from muscle and protein metabolism.
It is released at a constant rate by the body.

     Warning Signs of Kidney Problems

You're Always Tired. 1/10. Kidneys filter waste from your blood and ship it
out in your pee. ...

Poor Sleep. 2/10. ...

Itchy Skin. 3/10. ...

Swollen Face and Feet. 4/10. ...

Muscle Cramps. 5/10. ...

Breathlessness. 6/10. ...

Foggy Head. 7/10. ...

Low Appetite. 8/10. And in spite f all these, symptoms, still you can be
healthier; and without any such symptoms, a runner sportsman, could have
been affected by creatinine problem at age 16 also. Watch your steps,
without sitting back and no fear is needed K SARA SARA. NB White frosted
urine may be excess phosphate also AND NOT EXACTLY EXCESS PHOSPHATE
CREATININE OUTCOME.

Q3 What are five things senior citizens should not do at the age of
65 and over?

KR I am reading it again and again and If I am right even Mr VG wrote
it.

***Stop worrying about your children’s lives and finances. Stop spending
your retirement money on your children. Focus on your remaining years and
your relationship. Do not refinance your home or borrow money. Enjoy
spending your children’s inheritance, you earned it.

KR Not exactly as envisaged here and at the end. Every adult born
out of us, needs space, enough space to fly. Every son will listen only
to his wife as you did; and every daughter will abide only her husband as
your wife did to you. As parent forget, that they were once children and
husband and wife, one unit runs into problem taking too much of pressures.
But as elders, we must speak to them your mind in an unorthodox fashion,
whenever it shall be done. That is your duty. And as Radar, set an eye on
them also. At the right time, when they open it up, stay with them,
financially if you can or emotionally. And without money you can die but
small plantations must grow. It is not suicidal or self-preservation but
pragmatic way of life. When you had nothing did you not survive so why you
weigh so much your retirement money, if there is a better use? If all that
treasure you considered is wiped out, what will you do later? Wont you ask
your children? Had you focussed all these years on your relationship, why
the hell now as if afresh? Today the word relationship carries adverse
meaning. Refinancing word is not in our Indian loan dictionary; only in
west especially USA it is famous; and after 60 in India , no bank will give
you even the personal loan, unless you have something solid in the bank So
these notes re taken out by the writer from west-bank and neither original
nor Indian. Enjoy inheritance of children? After their demise? Or what?

Q4 What shocked you today?

KR I went through and there is an end to running a fabricated
tales so dextrously. This the Dr ; https://youtu.be/_TdxjrlbAWU; and he is
highly inoffensive and not an ordy man; and such doctors are all over India
,including the south and T amil Nadu. Even few villages uneducated ladies
have the Padma awards who are not spoken thus. Every one in high positions
will only be cool; and when teased, will bear the forbearance; but when far
exceeding, something will go wrong; world will still call them cool and
simple. Gandhi and Mandela are rare species.

The reality of husband and wife are as under:

Q5 What are some mind-blowing facts that sound unreal but are
actually true?

KR Toxoplasmosis Also called: toxoplasma

OVER VIEW OF A SATIRE NARRATED: A disease that results from
infection with the Toxoplasma gondii parasite. This could be due to eating
undercooked, contaminated meat (especially pork and lamb) or shellfish,
drinking contaminated water, accidentally swallowing the parasite after
contact with cat feces containing Toxoplasma, accidentally ingesting
contaminated soil (like not washing hands after gardening or eating
unwashed fruits or vegetables from a garden) or mother-to-child
(congenital) transmission. It could also be caused by receiving an infected
organ transplant or infected blood via transfusion, though this is rare.

Toxoplasmosis is considered to be a leading cause of death attributed to
foodborne illness in the United States. Very few have symptoms because the
immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. However,
women newly infected with Toxoplasma during or shortly before pregnancy,
and anyone with a compromised immune system should be aware that
toxoplasmosis can have severe consequences.

Symptoms include muscle pain, fever, headache, and generalized fatigue all
of which can last for weeks. Severe cases may develop confusion, lack of
coordination, seizures & blurred vision.

Medication can reduce infection severity. But the best approach is
prevention by avoiding exposure. People with weakened immune systems
(pregnant women, children, elderly and immunocompromised) should use
preventive medicine.

And similar Dog urine touched; dog urine over coca cola bottles kept
in the shops; and many animal infested; and sick animals flesh consumed;
{KR: all these I had narrated yesterday and in earlier days also which
cause problems to non-vegetarians and people generally; my father in law
was deducted to exposure animal urine rain water , through which he went
out to help people; he suffered for a day and was no more; the awesome
factor is, he told me as an ace astrologer, that he will die in public
service; and I did not think this way} And tell me what is the satire in a
serious conditions of human health? Of course truly speaking, for a few,
“Only Kaivisham will go, not hereditary behaviour. I could not control my
laugh.”

CULTURAL QA 12-2023-28A

All the below QA are from Quora DIGEST to me on 28-12-2023.

Selected quora answers generally interesting are included .Still they need
not be 100% correct answers.

Compiled and posted by R. Gopala Krishnan, 80, former ITS on 28-12-2023.

Q1 What is the funniest joke you've been told that you still think
about to this day?

A1 Francis Mulhearn, Former I already have a fraking credential Nov

A Jewish son tells his father he is moving out. The son returns a year
later and tells his father that he has converted to Christianity.

The father is upset and calls his friend who is also Jewish. “You won’t
believe this, my son David moved out for a year and came back and told me
he converted to Christianity.”

His friend says, “you won’t believe this...my son Benjamin moved away for a
year and when he came back HE converted to Christianity too”!

Both upset, they call their rabbi and explain what happened. The rabbi says,
“you won’t believe this, my son Joshua moved away and when HE came back he
told me he converted to Christianity too”!

The rabbi suggests they call God and tell him. The rabbi tells God that all
three men had sons who moved away and converted to Christianity and don’t
know what to do.

God says to them, “you won’t believe this...

Q2 What does 1.9 creatinine level indicate?

A2 DocTube, By doctors, for patients Updated Tue

Creatinine is a waste product that is produced by the muscles and is
normally filtered out of the blood by the kidneys and excreted in urine.

Elevated levels of creatinine in the blood can be a sign of kidney
dysfunction or impaired kidney function. The normal range for creatinine
levels can vary slightly.

However, in general, a normal creatinine level for adults is usually
between 0.6 and 1.2 mg/dL.

A level of 1.9 mg/dL would be considered higher than the normal range. In
many cases, kidney disease can cause a decrease in the kidneys' ability to
filter creatinine from the blood, leading to higher levels in the
bloodstream. Dehydration can also lead to a temporary increase in
creatinine levels because the kidneys may conserve water and reduce urine
output, leading to higher concentrations of creatinine in the blood. In
addition to these, some medications can affect kidney function and lead to
elevated creatinine levels.

My note- I have added this QA for the meaning of creatinine. As age
increase without any reason creatinine can be slightly high

Q3 What are five things senior citizens should not do at the age of
65 and over?

A3 D. Compton, Recording Engineer, Arranger, Composer. Dec 3

***Stop worrying about your children’s lives and finances.

Stop spending your retirement money on your children.

Focus on your remaining years and your relationship.

Do not refinance your home or borrow money.

Enjoy spending your children’s inheritance, you earned it.

My note- The answer is by a westerner. Any Indian parents cannot remain
without worrying about children’s lives and finances. A widowed/ divorsee
daughter, not studied son with low finance are always worry for parents.

Q4 What shocked you today?

A4 Saurabh Sargar, Student at Smbt Medical College, Nashik,
Maharashtra1y

Yesterday I went to eyeglasses store to collect my spec's,

But, As soon as I entered the store, I saw the store - keeper of the store
was busy checking eyesight of a old grandpa

Now, he seemed like a old aged person who wore a white dhoti and white
kurta with a Gandhi topi on top ,most probably a farmer from remote
village, who had just came to visit his daughter's house in diwali holidays
and wanted to have specs due to vision problem,

But little did I know, What reality was to unfold,

So as the storekeeper was busy ,he asked me to wait for about 10 min until
he got free..

Store keeper to grandpa — Baba tumhala screen var kai distay te sanga( in
marathi).

[ Grandpa please tell me what can you see on the screen?]

Grandpa — *Spelled in perfect pronunciation* T,O,Z

Store keeper — Next line ?

Grandpa — *Again doing perfect pronunciation* L,Pee,Ee,De( L,P,E,D)

Store keeper — Next Line?

Grandpa — Again spelling ( P,E,F,D)

Store keeper — Excellent!!..

*Now at this point both store keeper and me were wondering how come this
old man, is able to spell every single line in English that too with
perfect pronunciation*

Store keeper — Okay sir, Your number is ready, it will take about 2 days to
make your specs, you can collect it from shop by Thursday

Grandpa — Actually Its urgent I want it by tomorrow..

Store keeper— Sir it will atleast take 2 days,to make it ready.

By this time he was answering all the questions of the store keeper in
perfect English, I was curious to know by this time..

Who is this person, he doesn't even look half of what he is speaking, that
too in perfect English!?

Now what he said next really humbled me,

He joined his hands in namste position and with slight expression of
embarresment on his face bent his head down slightly & he began,

Grandpa — I m really sorry sir, I cannot make specs here then, I cannot
sustain anymore without glasses, I need it by tomorrow since I have to
leave for my home town tomorrow,I really apologise for the trouble you had
to go through..

I was literally in awe of grandpa by this time, he must have been about
60–65 yr old and the store keeper must have been about 23 & 24 yr old, yet
he had the courtesy to apologise, that too by joining his hands and bending
his head, I’m sure nobody of my age despite being younger to him would have
done that, not even me!

But he did!,

And now I really wanted to know who this person was?

Further conversion went like,

Store keeper — Its completely fine sir, Not a problem.

Store keeper — if you don't mind can I ask you a question sir?

Grandpa — Yes sure!.

Store keeper — What do you do sir? I mean what is your profession?

Grandpa — * with a slight smile on his face* Beta actually I m a doctor, a
physician and currently me and my wife rani work in remote areas of
Gadchiroli to treat patients and infants..

Store keeper — Wow, that's great sir, I never thought you would be a doctor!

Grandpa — *smiling* Beta always remember always stay true to your culture
and never forget where you came from. Many people judge me by my clothes,
my appearance ,my accent. but what I have understood in all these years is
that your true identity, cannot be defined by the Clothes you wore or
,language you speak ,as they change and can often decieve you.. but your
knowledge is the only thing that will stay with you till you die…And nobody
can take that away from you..

By saying that he simply left the store with a bright smile..

But the question still bugged me, that who was he ?!

Later I got to know that he was none other than,

Dr Abhay Bang,A Padma Shree awarde,

He is MD from Nagpur medical college ,M.PH from John Hopkins University
USA, And currently working for the upliftment of militant occupied areas of
Gadchiroli ,He has been treating and rescuing newborns and working on grass
root level to bring down infant mortality rate for couple of years now.

That day I saw a man with real class and grace, No fancy suits, No fake
accent or showoff,Yet earned everybody's respect present there..

My note- We find nowadays similar persons in south. One of them is Mr
Jayakumar, former Chief secretary, Kerala who stated IAS is just a
position. Once laid down he is ordinary citizen.

Q5 What are some mind-blowing facts that sound unreal but are
actually true?

A5 Tiny Nair, Cardiologist at PRS Hospital, Trivandrum Updated 3y

Curiosity kills the rat.

Toxoplasma gondi is an intracellular parasite that resides in cat gut; gets
out in cat poo. But unlike what you think, it is a super-intelligent,
highly manipulative parasite.

The rats get infected by ingesting cat poo, and then the parasite goes to
the rat brain. Then it starts to show its real colour.

It homes in on to the ‘amygdala’ of the rat brain, a part of brain that is
responsible for behaviour; and guess what, highjacks it. The
‘brain-highjacked’ manipulated rat now loses the ‘fear-of-cat’ instinct,
ingrained in its system for generations. It starts to feel friendly at the
smell of the cat and almost goes up to say ‘hi, good morning, how do you
do?’.

And now the cat decides whether to have the rat for lunch or dinner; but
that's it.

The manipulative parasites come home to the cat gut, from where its journey
began.

The knowledge of this cunning, behaviour changing parasite stops becoming
funny and gets you worried once I tell you that about 40 to 50% of world
population has a positive antibody titre to Toxoplasma. In simple English
half of the mankind are infected by it.

News making COVID with 15 million cases is still in single digit percentage.

Despite contradictory arguments, there is no conclusive proof that human
behaviour or emotional response can change with Toxoplasma infection, but
we just don’t know for sure. A google search about ‘subtle human
behavioural change by Toxoplasma’ would give you an insight.

But more importantly, let's learn how to prevent a Toxoplasma infection.

Sources of Toxoplasma are -

Undercooked meat (usually pork).

Unwashed vegetables.

Unclean drinking water.

Contaminated blood or organ transfusion.

Unpasteurised goat milk.

Cat's ‘litter box’.

***But wait before you hold the poor cat responsible for your wife’s
‘lately-getting-angry-with-you-attitude’ for no apparent reasons.

Those without a pet cat also frequently report such bizarre fluctuation in
spouse behaviour.

My note- If a person cannot enjoy the satire and ask what satire in it? There
are such persons…
I recollect an incident above a decade back. We had been to Cherthala, my
do brother’s home and my sister in law was telling about kaivisham removed
to xxx in Tiruvizha temple near Cherthalai . This temple is famous for
removing Kaivisham. My wife felt she should attend and remove kaivisham if
any due to some incidents while in Trivandrum. While making arrangements my
co brother told me- Athimbar, Only Kaivisham will go, not *hereditary
behaviour.* I could not control my laugh.
