Q1      What are the important lessons you learntin life?

A1      FlavianMwasi, Entrepreneur | Life Coach | Mentor at Life and Living
Updated 4y

You learn nothing from life if you think you know everything.

My note- What a beautiful quote.

Education is not the key. Relevant education is thekey.

Money gives you the power to become more selfish thanyou already are.

Whatever you give is what comes back to youmultiplied. The universe doesn't
know whether it’s good or evil.

You can be very rich but not live a rich life.

Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. Don’t get into the habit
oftossing the coin eachtime people annoy you.

My note- What a beautiful quote.

If you are aperson given to thinking each time before you make a move, you may
probablymake fewer mistakes in life but you will also greatly limit your
chances.

Developing instinct is more powerful than acquiringany amount of knowledge.

Friendship isn't about who you’ve known the longest. It’s about who was there
when you needed them most.

If you don’t do stupid things while you’re young, you’ll have nothing to brag
about when you’re old.

My note- What a beautiful quote.

We actually fall in love and hate many times, but ourminds are not equipped to
record every transaction that takes place in ourlives. We only tend toremember
the most impactful event that takes place in the present.

Follow and trust your heart and it will lead you tothe one person from whom you
will truly find the meaning of life.

The best friend is not the person who praises youevery time when you’re right.
The best friend is the person who rebukes you whenyou’re wrong.

No amount ofmedicine can heal you more than a person who loves, cares, and
supports youwhen you’re going through difficult times.

The rich and thepoor live in the same neighborhood. The difference is in the
way they think. One thinks about the future; theother thinks about the present.

The future ofa person is defined by his/her present habits.

My note- What a beautiful quote.

Don’t marry the kind of person who does notunderstand the meaning of hardship.
They’ll divorce you when you’re broke.

Don’t define your success by the amount of money youhave. Money tends to grow
wings just when you thought you have too much of it.

Laugh as much as you can while you can, for a timecomes when you can’t even
open your mouth.

You never realize how lucky you were, until theperson who loved you most,
leaves you for the guy you hated most at school.

The best thing to hold onto in life is the person wholoved you even when you
were at the bottom.

Q2      What aresome of the most mind-blowing facts?

A2      AdityaGund, Updated 7y

More than 50% of the zippers in the world aremanufactured by one company
calledYKK. Rest of them are made by other companies like Prym, Coats and
over1000 Chinese manufacturers.

Ever wondered what those letters YKK on your zippermean? They stand for the
name of the company, Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushiki gaisha. Tadao Yoshidafounded this
company in 1934. As of today they have manufacturing facilities in72 countries
around the world.

My note- I checkedmy hand bags. The zips are from SUN- some other company.
Probably cheaper  than YKK. However quality is good.

Q3      What aresome small things that matter a lot?

A3      SidharthSrivatsav, Updated 5y

It was a hot summer afternoon in the month of May.Iwas riding on my bike to
home. A man who may be in his early 50s asked me for a lift. He wassweating
profusely and needed to reach home. As his house was on the way I wasgoing in,
I gave him a lift.

He explained to me that, his sugar levels are droppingand need to reach home
fast. I dropped him off at his home and he thanked me wholeheartedly. I got
back home and forgot about it.

After a month, asmall hotel was opened nearby. I went there to try it out. I
was checking outthe menu andsomeone tapped on my shoulder from behind. He was
the same man whom I gave lift earlier.

He asked me if I had recognized him. I said no. He explained that I gave
himlift a month ago. Then, I recollected him. He asked me, what would Ilike to
eat. I was surprised.

He giggled and said that, he is the owner of that hoteland as a token of
gratitude I can have anything for free. I politely refused it but hewas
stubborn in his offer. So, I gave in. He asked the chef to make the best ofthe
dish I ordered and was given for free.

That day, I realized, the good you do however small, goesfar.

Any small help you do to people will for ever beengraved in their minds forever
and it comes back to you in the ways you cannever imagine.

So, don't stopdoing good and spreading smiles!

My note- Now itis 33 degree C in Chennai. It is very difficult to walk even
with umbrella. Best – Blood sugarlevel may fall down. It isbest diabetics avoid
any travel from 10 AM to 5 PM. Other wise to carry sugarpack/ glucose pack, and
small water bottle in bag.

Q4      What aresome interesting facts about elephants?

A4      AnimalHealth Tips,Jan 20

Elephants kill gratuitously.Yes, the herbivorous elephant.

It’s been observed that some youngbull elephants have got into the habit of
raping and killing rhinos, buffaloand sometimes even other elephants, for what
is clearly just for thehell of it. If you want pictures/videos though, I’ll let
you Google them foryourselves.

The reason?Poachers.

It’s not unknown that elephants are prime targets forpoachers, as their
ivorycommands a high price. Because older males have bigger tusks,
though, they’ve been the preferred target for this callous bunch ever since the
poundsigns rocked up in front of them, and as a result, their numbers out of
allelephants have taken the biggest hit.

Researchers have observed that the knock-on effect ofthis is that the younger
males lack a role model, a sort of father figure, toinstil in them self-control
and good behaviour. Without those boundaries set, some go wild and do some crazy
and despicable things.

This isn’t merespeculation either.

Young maleelephants at national parks in parts of Africa exhibiting aggressive
behaviour, particularly killing rhinosin ritualised combat, were shown to be
less aggressive when bigger, older maleswere reintroduced.

So what’s thecause?

It’s believed that musth (pronounced “moost”) is thereason. It’s the name given
to periods where a male elephant’s testosteronespikes by 40–60×, or even up to
140× in some cases, causing them to become highly aggressive to thepoint that
controlling them becomes impossible. The studies have foundthat once the older
males were reintroduced, it stopped the younger males fromentering musth in the
first place.

Of course in thewild, it’s not so simple. Killing the older males has
invariably upset the social structureof elephants, and it’s already becoming
clear what the results are going to beshould this continue.

Q5      What isan incident that changed your life?

A5      Sumit, FormerSenior Software Engineer (2017–2020)Updated 5y

When we saw tears in my Dad’s eyes :- I stillremember the incident, when my dad
came home with tears in his eyes. At thattime we (my elder brother and I) were
in class 9, we asked dad, what happened? He said “I want to see youboth as
successful people, just focus on your studies.”

Later we came to know due to some family issue, myuncle hit my dad.

We were not good students at that point of time. Inclass 9, my brother scored
40/100 in Mathematics, while I scored 48/100. Next year in 10th U.P boardexams,
my brother scored 88/100 and I got 78/100 in mathematics. We both passedwith
first division.

After that, wenever looked back.

12 years later -

Today I am working as a Senior Software Engineer in aleading Telecom company in
Berlin, Germany and my elder brother is working as production manager in
Shenzhen, China.

Yes, happy ending. :)
